(Nora leaves the house, and moves back to her home town with her old friends, and family, she missed very much. She moved into her cousin's small ranch on the farm. After six months of living on this farm with her cousin, Marc, and his five kids Janet, Joshua, Jamal, Jordan, and Jaylyn she gets a call from an unknown number.)
Marc: (phones ringing) Wait a minute. . . I'm coming. . . (answers phone) Hello?
Dr. Rank: Hello, is Nora there at the moment?
Marc: Yes why, she's in the back.
Dr. Rank: Can you call for her, I really need to speak with her.
Marc: yeah sure. (calling for her) Nora! Nora! The phone!
Nora: Coming, Marc! (she runs to the backdoor with buckets of cow milk. She places them down) Thanks. (grabs phone) Hello? Who is this?
Dr. Rank: Nora?
Nora: I think you have the wrong person, who is this?
Dr. Rank: It's me. Have you already forgotten my voice? You've only been gone for about six months.
Nora: If this is you, Helmer, I don't want to talk.
Dr. Rank: No! No, no it's me, Rank.
Nora: What? Listen I don't know who this is but that is not funny.
Dr. Rank: It is me I survived the TB I'm fine, that's why you never got the letter with the black cross on it.
(Nora stumbles back, drops the phone, and passes out, she is rushed to the hospital and is about to finally wake up. In the room is Nora and one other person.)
Nora: ( her eyes open very slowly) Rank?

A lot happened in this act, the characters really showed their true colors. They showed who they really were, and how they act. We've already seen that Nora is a pretty big liar to everyone especially Helmer. She is doing everything in her power to not let Helmer read the letter left by Krogstad. If he reads that letter he may just leave Nora with nothing.
Krogstad shows that he really is as horrible as everyone says he is. He has been blackmailing Nora with that letter until she talks Helmer into letting him keep his job. We have also found out that Nora has come up with what she will do. She is going to commit suicide so she won't see what will happen after her husband hears her secret. Nora and Torvald have a lot of trust issues.

A doll's house is a very good play, and story so far. The story is about a family of five, Nora, Torvald and their three children. Nora is a very nice woman, she does a lot for her husband. Even though her ways of helping out her husband and making money are unheard of at this time, she's still thoughtful. "A woman can't borrow money without her husband's permission"(Ibsen,pg.173).
Torvald is Nora's loving husband who she cares for very much. He works for the bank with Krogstad and possibly miss Linde. "He's rotten to the core"(Ibsen,pg.162). Krogstad is a mean lawyer and is not very like by many people including Nora, Torvald, and Dr. Rank. Dr. Rank is dying from the excruciating pain of Teburculosis of the spine.
