Happy 31st!

My birthday was so special this year. Nel and I got to enjoy a romantic evening at Eddie V's celebrating Valentine's day and my birthday over the weekend. We ended the night at a movie 127 Hours since we had been kicked out the weekend before due to the fire alarm going off and the entire theater being dumped into snowy and icy Dallas! Nellie gave me the sweetest book with all of these pages that he filled out by hand about US..it was one of my favorite gift of all times! I also cant wait to pick out my new earrings from Yamo!

So on my actual birthday, which happened to be a Monday this year, we ate lunch with Sugar at Potbelly and then had friends over for a cookout that night. Wilson was so cute and brought over all of the party decor including the cute little birthday banner we hung on the door! He is always so sweet and thoughtful! While all the other kiddos were napping, he was party planning! LOVE! Nellie cooked up delicious venison burgers that seriously melt in your mouth and could out taste any burger in town! Yamo cooked up brownies and June Bug loved having a real cook in our kitchen! Anna Kate and Burgler of course just along for the ride and so easy going..especially when there is food involved! Yaya's work got canceled so we were so excited that she could join in the fun with us and help make the celebration complete! Such a fun night and my favorite way to spend it..with some of my favorite friends and kiddos!

All the kids LOVE the gigantic swing and the Barbie Car and Harley motorcycle! Seriously....hours of entertainment!

We also celebrated with a Girl's Night Out at St. Ann's on the patio! It was SUCH an amazing time with my favorite girlfriends. I feel so incredibly blessed by each and every one of these girls and I am so thankful for them in my life. Some I've known for years and grew up with and others I've just met since I've had kids, and they all mean so much to me and are such an important part of my life! I tell Nelson all the time how thankful I am for great girlfriends who know me so well and who I can completely be myself around! Obviously.....

dress up

We loved celebrating Elle's birthday in her big jumphouse out front on such a pretty day!

Our little school friend Gracie had her dress up party at the DCC and so we came dressed as Snow White. Kennedy was excited to see her Pirate Stone there and our princess buddy Charlotte!

Hamilton and Stone are always so cute together!!


Mile's western cowboy party was tons o' fun! The kids played forever in the backyard and even attempted a little square dance! Cando liked K K's light up pink cowboy hat! Too funny!

If we run out of sweet friends to party with then we make up our own party and play beauty salon (literally almost every morning she pretends to be Mike or Whitney and puts the cape on me and gets her paper pad to make "foils" for my highlights) and dress up! She told me last week "mommy you hair is getting black and if the teacher asks you what color your hair is, you have to say black"!! Sometimes dress up consists of dragging out last season's clothes which she thinks are her "baby clothes" or sometimes we layer swimsuits over well anything! Theres always the drawer of princess attire and why not throw some velcro rollers in the mix! Good times with my sweet princess!

Snow Days

This February we had another huge ice and snow storm! The same thing happened last year right around this time because I was pregnant with Hamilton and wondering what would happen if I went into labor! Its always so pretty to see Baxtershire covered in snow! Daddy stayed home as Dallas was literally snowed in, and we played on the sled and made a snow man. Kennedy really liked it so much this year! Hammy was so cute taking it all in! Brrrrrr!!! Daddy took us to meet the Elmores at Northpark one day because we were getting a little stir crazy but for the most part we hunkered down and enjoyed hot chocolate and snowballs!

Daddy is such a gear guy and so he's so good about bundling her up and layering as if we were going on an elk hunt! She likes all of his tools in the workroom and gear and especially his camo gloves!

WOW what a sight to behold!

The slide full of snow was quite fun! Then we'd fill it up with snow again and slide over and over again!

She toppled off the swing but enjoyed eating the snow! She was way into it this year!

Brother on the move

Wow sweet boy you are ON THE MOVE! You can crawl faster than I can walk and with your birthday just a month away, you are into everything! A typicaly day you wake up around 7:30 and we have our mommy time together or sometimes Daddy on the weekends. You chug that bottle and make the cutest noises when you do! We play and then you eat some breakfast. You are a good eater. You LOVE your blueberries, strawberries and bananas. Youre usually ready for your AM nap around 9 right when your sister starts peeping! You get so excited to see her and play with her. She is so sweet to you and always watching out for you, singing to you, touching your cheeks and wanting to dress you up! Shes even pretty good about sharing with you. We have to keep an eye on those toilets because you love to crawl in there and splash around. Kennedy is very good about making sure they stay closed! Two great little helpers I have!

sweet strawberry hair is my favorite! its so soft and fuzzy!!
youre not too much of a paci lover but you do like it at bedtime and its so cute how when I put it in, you lay your head on my shoulder and make this sweet humming noise like youre singing to yourself!

endless entertainment for you...



sooo busy and oh so curious! you love cars and anything that rolls or makes noises. youre also really good at finding little crumbs or something on the floor to try to eat (even a rock and a screw bolt..cant take my eyes off you little man!)
This grin with all your little teeth just melts me especially when you get tickled and your contagious chuckle accompanies it! Sister is really good at making you laugh!

Sister is officially in the big girl bed and loving it! She knows not to get out and she takes all of her books and lights and bandaids and buddies and whatever else she can think of to stall out at bedtime into bed with her!!
