Her Royal Hotness (H.R.H)

after the beach the other day, we had a quiz night to raise funds for watoto missions...which reminds me..i haven't blogged bout pasar malam...hmmm..another day. the food was awesome! so brings u back to the whole malaysian night market scene.. minus the fishy stenches.

Anyhoo, back to quiz night. drew, will, anna, danson, jon, kenny, my bro and i decided to name our team after jon's red hot car.. HER ROYAL HOTNESS.. named by urs truly. lol.

rmbr i was studying psychology earlier that morning... believe it or not, it wasn't a complete waste of my life.. cos i read this tiny part bout cane toads and what they were for.. and guess what one of the questions were in the quiz?? hahhahaha. yeap, that's my forte. Lol.

then we had this fashion show thing where we had to come up with the most interesting design with coloured papers, straws, balloons n random stuff. i lost scissors, paper, stone to anna so i had to assume the embarassing task of representing our group. hahha

40 hour famine!

starts T-O-D-A-Y! from 8pm till sunday 12pm. i'm fasting all forms of electronic communication..yeap- no phone, no radio, no tv, no computer, no internet = ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! it prolly doesnt seem hard to some..but yea it is MAJOR to me. plus, then i get to see how hard it is for the kids in Laos to not have these priviledges at all.

anyways, $40 feeds 8 kids for a month! so, dig deep into your heart...and wallet.. and give generously to those who are doing the famine! your contributions are never too little cos every bit counts for something!

this is Kaisong. Her mum's blind and she has an older sister and a younger brother. She and her sister has to look for food to feed their family. they live in a small hut as big as a queen size bed. Both girls have eye infections and are afraid they'll end up blind like their mother.

Donate... and help the less fortunate kids of Laos such as Kaisong. Thank you!

studying + beach = no no :)

i woke up early last saturday, well earlier than usual anyway... to get some studying done... i was reading my uber thick psychology book when i made a terrible mistake of "switching on my comp IN CASE i needed to check some UNI things online"... horrible horrible mistake, i know. ended up spending bout an hour online before i got this msg...

"what shall we do today?"

it was such a gorgeous sunny winter's day that i immediately replied

"Let's go to the beach!! then we can study there cos its more relaxed and quiet..and internet-free"

and so i brought along my really really really thick psych book all the way to the beach... which was a complete waste of my life cos when we got there, we decided the day was much too gorgeous to be spent studying!

after that it was a series of camwhoring, jumping n running around on the beach, 2 very foolish n oh-so-brave guys playing in the icy cold water, singing along to the strumming of the guitar, and basically just enjoying God's wonderful creations!

CARIAN are gonna be parents!!!!! FINALLY! hahaha. i'm sooo happy for them! The little bundle of joy's gonna be extremely lucky to have them as his/her parents!
