I am way behind with posting pictures, so here are some photos of what we were up to in October.
Impromptu family selfie.
Picking out our pumpkins.
Isla got to bring home Bailey the Bee. He spent the weekend with us and updated his journal with all of our adventures.
Kellan fell instantly in love with Bailey so it was a bit of a rough weekend of him constantly yelling "my bee!" Isla very graciously gave him some quality Bailey time.
Kellan with Gaga, his favorite stuffed animal.
Isla being studious.
At the Reston Farm Market.
The kids are working on a project with Grandpa and are making ping-pong ball shooters. They were pretty excited to get started in his shop. Here they are sanding.
Every once in awhile it's a good idea to scan the area and secure the perimeter. A show of vigilance keeps the neighbors on their toes.
Happy Birthday Kellan!!! Our sweet baby is 2 years old! We celebrated a bit early to accommodate Patrick's reserve schedule, resulting in a nice drawn-out fortnight of b-day festivities.
Brennan and Isla gave Kellan his very own bee, and he was thrilled.
Cousin Chloe knows him too well!
It's good to be 2! We love you so much Kellan!!
Some of our favorite little people! Elena, Kellan, Isla, Benjamin, Robert, Maya.
I'm on the fence about this photo. Ha! See what I did there?
Not feeling it.
Apparently I can only get everyone looking in the same direction with vaguely pleasant facial expressions if I am not in the picture.
Mind meld? Not sure, but this somehow happened spontaneously.
We sat in on Isla's last day of ballet and enjoyed watching her dance.
A little birthday celebration with Grandma and Grandpa on the actual day.
Make a wish!
With Patrick out of town I took advantage of our birthday guests andforced invited them to join us in carving our pumpkins.
Isla participated in the Halloween parade at her preschool. She was Raphael, one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Isla and her bestie.
A sea of princesses but my heart belongs to the one beautiful turtle. I love that girl.
Cristina and Elena came over for a visit and brought Kellan's special birthday Challah! Two days after Kellan was born Cristina brought delicious fresh baked Challah and passed out Halloween candy to our trick-or-treaters. This year Elena helped bake it. I put Kellan down for a nap before I thought to take any pictures.
This will be what Kellan does when Cristina shows up at his college dorm with Challah every year on his birthday. ;) (He had just woken up here, he was actually very excited!)
That's more like it.
Brennan received the Citizenship Award at school for being kind, respectful, and doing his best. We're so proud of him!
What a happy citizen!
Raph, Donny & Mikey.
With Leo. If Patrick had been in town we could have had Splinter, but we have many years ahead of us for dorky group costumes. I can wait.
Happy Halloween!
