Berbuka di Q-Thai

Al-kisah, dua hari lepas, Uncle Samy the Gardener & konco2 nya dtg rumah saya untuk pasang tanam rumput. Lepas dah tanam tu, alang2 diorg dah kat rumah saya tu, terus saya mintak Uncle Samy tolong tanamkan 3 pokok yang dah 3 tahun duduk dalam polybag kat rumah saya tu. Punyalah tak green finger nya kami, sampaikan pokok tu tak berpindah2 langsung dari polybag ke tanah..hinggalah Uncle Samy datang. Saya suruh dia tanam kat depan tingkap sinki dapur, supaya saya dapat ke'natural'an time basuh pinggan nanti.

"Tup tap ..toinggggggg" - alamakkk pecah pulak paip.. (lupa kat situ ada batang paip)

So, tak berair lah rumah saya petang tu..makanya tak bolehlah nak masak2 kan...(excuse yang sgt best!!). Ditambah pulak kat Giant Nilai belakang rumah tu ada restoran baru bukak...Q-Thai namanya. Otak terus ligat mengajak Mr.Hubby berbuka kat situ aje petang tu.

Kononnya rumah dekat, pergi lambat lah sikit kan. Pukul 7 baru sampai kat Giant. Sekali tempat penuh daaaaaa....So, berbuka lah kitorang kat Giant dengan segelas milo share berdua. Solat dulu, pastu hujan selebat2 alam...berbuka lah kami pada pukul 9 malam.. (pahala lebih lah sikit hari tu kan..hehehe)

Ni menu book Q-Thai. Q-Thai kat Avenue 9 ni ialah outlet yg ke-9, maybe next year they open

the opportunity to franchise. Kat outlet2 lain ada yang namanya Q-Thai,ada yang nama lain..

it's like branding lain2 lah..just like next to Q-Thai Nilai ni, ada another restaurant owned by them; Portugese Ikan Bakar. (alaaa lauk2 yang bakar dalam aluminium foil tu). I haven't tried that one yet, sbb too common kot.. 

Menu memang banyak & each of them ada keunikannya tersendiri. Rasa pun lain-lain, tak macam kedai tom yam yang berlambak kat luar tu...ladna ke,paprik ke,kung fu ke,hong kong ke..rasanya saaammmmmaaa je.. That's what I like about Q-Thai ni lah..

Price-wise, mmg berbaloi & reasonable. A plate of nasi goreng with full set of lauk (you choose) costs only RM 7.00 - 8.00. Saya pernah try Nasi Goreng Butter Prawn ..ermmm memang best!! Mr.Hubby pulak pernah makan Japanese Black Pepper Udon...thumbs-up jugak!!

Untuk lauk-lauk pulak, kalau ikan/udang/ketam tu macam biasalah ikut harga pasaran & ikut per gram.

Tapi kalau tom yam atau sayur2..range dalam RM6.00 - 8.00 untuk seorang. tapi harus diingat, portion untuk seorang tu boleh dimakan berdua. Quite big jugak kalau order banyak lauk.

Masa kitorg makan, orang dah tak ramai. Maklumlah kan, siapa lagi yang nak berbuka pukul 9 macam kitorg ni kan...hehe

Oh ya, besides ala-carte dishes, ada Thai Steamboat jugak. But I'm not so sure the price per head, because I don't really fancy steamboat yang banyak ball-ball macam ni..Too much boric acid lah to me. But to those who love, this is quite a good choice sbb selection dia banyak gilerr ok..

Tak cukup row tadi, ada lagi row yang ni..

Desert bar pun ada.. Of course Thai Style.

Ni lauk yang kitorg order. Makan berdua tak payah banyak2 lauk.. Kami order Siakap Dancing Fish.

Review : Mr.Hubby suka, but I found it too sweet to my taste. Tak lih nak telan dengan nasi.

Kerabu Mangga.

Review: Mangga too soft, too much anchovy-taste, too sweet. Tak rasa pedas langsung. Don't know what happen to chili thai yang "pedas berdesut" tu..

Thai Green Curry Chicken

Review: A thumbs-down of all. Keciwa ok...I would prefer Flying Chillies wayyyy better than this.

Please ya, all the reviews above is strictly to my liking only & yes it is very subjective. Not good to me maybe the best to others. I'm only speaking honesty here. So, peace....hehehe

Tun MM's cafe again....

It was a belated & postponed birthday celebration for Mr.Hubby. Abang treated us at The Loaf Pavillion for an evening tea. The Loaf is yet our all-time favourite spot for a tea-talk-time. Roti Mahathir ni memang sedap lah!! ..and I am not a bakery lover indeed, but The Loaf really makes me to never-say-no.

Heartiest thanks to Abang & Akak.

Sungguh girang katak melompat,

Hingga terjatuh ke dalam perigi,

Moga rezeki makin diperhebat,

Tahun depan belanja lagi...

(tahun depan apa??bukan sebulan 5-6 kali ke kita makan-makan??hehehe)

Breakfast Spot...part one

This place is called Beranang Kopitiam, it's not like the modern & trendy kopitiam like we have nowadays in the cities, but it is more like just a 'kedai kopi cina di hujung kampung'!! And yet, that Beranang Kopitiam is the name that I just given to the shop, because it actually doesn't have any name..haha..

This is one of our favourite breakfast spot. It takes us about 20 mins (plus waiting time at the traffic lights) to reach there from our home. We come here averagely once in a fortnight, but sometimes once a week.. Depends on our 'wake-up-mood', if our tummy says Beranang, then it's beranang.. What an easy life staying in Salak Tinggi..

What is so special about this Kedai Kopi Ah Ping???(the owner's name)

Roti Bakar definitely!! It's Roti Bakar is marvellous, crunchy but soft.. There's 2 types of roti bakar, one is 'Biasa' & another one is 'Original'.. Biasa means the roti is crustless while Original means the crust is still intact..(waaaa hi-tech pulak rasanya explanation ni)

Besides Roti Bakar, another craving is for its Roti Stim (steam).. This is when they steam the roti benggali so it become so soft & fluffy.. Mr.Hubby would prefer roti steam Original than roti bakar when we come here, and I would prefer otherwise.. (difference completes our world right!!)

Another MUST-HAVE menu is a packed Nasi Lemak Ikan Keli,wrapped in banana leaf.. Wallaaaa... heaven! The sambal is quite different than common nasi lemak's sambal. It is just a small pack, usually we eat 2 packs at a time.. Memang sedap! ...and tapau some more to bring back home....hehehe

Ohhhh, next time when I came here again, I'll try to remember to snap a picture of each menu before having it done into our hungry-tummy..hahaha.. Last time,terlupa lah..lapar sangat..
