SO big
I had to buy him new shoes yesterday.
They were a size 12.
I'm excited to have a new baby just so I can hold someone teeny tiny in my arms. Someone that can't jump or wiggle out of my arms and run away to hide from my kisses. Damen used to be small, he used to lie in my arms content.
Now we play MarioKart together(and he usually wins), we go to the park and he climbs to the top of the playset with out my help.
He's registered for Kindergarten.
He helps with the dishes, setting the table and puts his own toys away.
He is SO big.

I finally made one!
Ok, I have been looking, ogling(that's right), tagging, these all over crafty-blog world and now, I finally have one for myself!! I wasn't sure where I'd ever get the materials, they seemed so evasive. Hello Habitat for Humanity Restore, and thank you very much free garage sale stuff! So, here's what I made:
I started off with a $2 drawer from the Restore, some dowels and of course my never ending supply of ribbon!
I ripped out the contact paper, drilled my holes, and sanded it down a little.
This is Dustin's "coat hanger from the rafters" paint set up. I decided the fumes might be a little too much for me.
I had Dustin paint the dowels too, but the canary yellow basically looks like the color of a dowel, oh well. I glued little ribbon flags on one end to help avoid little fingers pushing them all the way through.
Here's a close up. The back looks "eh" because of where the contact paper ripped off the original paint, but it's not that noticeable from far away.
I'll be linking up with

Saturday Hike
Last Saturday the weather was beautiful! I convinced my husband it was perfect go-for-a-hike weather and off we went. Damen complained pretty much most of the way that he wanted to go back to our "camping" place and eat, but otherwise it was great!
What a view!
I was trying to capture Damen AND the bush next to him, it looks very Dr.Seuss like.

Best way to spend a Saturday!
Bowling
We took Damen bowling for the first time a few weeks ago. He LOVES bowling on the Wii, so he was super excited, until he realized that the actual bowling balls are really heavy! He did really good, 71 on his first game. I think the bumpers had something to do with that:)
He tried the ramp a few times too.
I love this picture, can you see his thumbs up? Love it!

Painting
So, today I took a page from this crafty friend, Laurie and painted my boy a shirt! She used freezer paper as a guide, but I freehanded this one.
I bought three T-shirts at the .99 cent store, that's right they were .99 cents!! The fabric paint I got at Joann's for about a dollar. I'm planning on making him an alien T on a green one and am still pondering what to do for the orange T.
Looking at it, I'm wondering should I paint the little tooth black too??
