Red sky in the morning

The strong red of this sunrise last week was so bright that it woke me up. By the time I'd scooted out of bed, grabbed my camera and got my balcony door open, the colour had started to fade to vivid pink and orange.

Yesterday from a different angle

I like this house - it has a solid, Home Counties suburban look at first glance, but then you notice the oddly baronial treatment of the dark oak front porch and garage doors.

Gate 1

Yesterday's shadow was cast by a metal gate decorated with birds. The gate's outside a newish block of flats on New Church Road but I couldn't find a sign telling me what the block is called. It's a very nice gate though!
