Angel Storm

So the last couple of weeks I have been bombarded and busy with Angel Tree stuff. Our club provides Christmas for children in need. The kids have been busy planning different activities in hopes to raise some mula. Seriously, if I did not have Mrs. Brandi Sawyers.. I wouldn't make it this month. I am so glad she is here at Dixie with me. I love the spirit of Christmas.. and what it stands for... it definitely comes out when you are running around with your head cut off. We don't get much snow in St. George, but we are getting plenty of Angel Tree, an "Angel Storm" is what I call it. Busy and happy !! :) Good times.. good memories !!

Thankful for Friends

This year Chan and Andee paid for me to fly up to Sandy for Turkey Day. It was such a good time. Good food, friends, shopping, and chilling. Chan is an amazing cook.. amazing turkey with brine ??!! Still not sure what it is, but who cares cause it was dang good. And waldrof ??!! salad, yummy !!! My favorites were shopping with Andal, laughing like crazy at the table making toasts, and sitting by the tree just chatting. It was freaking freezin... on Thanksgiving I think the high was 19 degrees. We also went and saw Harry Potter. Will had to explain things as the movie went cause I am not a big Harry Potter fan. I do like Hermoine now though. She kicks magic ass !! Thank you soo much Chan and Andee for loving me and being good to me. Love you guys !!

My Nells

This last Monday was my cousin Nells birthday. Me, Dad, Charlie, and Tessarou went over to Chris and Lauren's for some grub and cake. It is her 50th birthday, and I wanted to do a post about her because she is an amazing woman. Some of my best memories of Nells, is driving with her as she blared Juice Newton and rocked out by hitting her steering wheel, while puckering her lips. :) I also remember great times when I lived with her, Julie, and Sue my senior year of high school. Nells has always been there for me. When I first started remembering things with my mom... Nells was there, and although the news was shocking, and unbelievable, she never doubted me or judged me. She was there for me when I went through the temple, to be my side when I took my endowments out. But, when I think of Nells, not only do I think of these things, but I think of a strong amazing woman that has been through so much with her health and her mom... and she has kept her head held high... and shown so much strength !! Nells, I love you very much !! And admire you so much for your strength and courage !! I am proud to be your cousin !!

Beauty Must Haves

I go through phases of my shopping addiction... Not the phases where I don't shop then do... UM, I ALWAYS SHOP !! :) More the phases of where I shop.. online that is. Lately, I have been addicted to Sephora. Seriously it is of the devil !! I also have an app for it on my phone. But, in my addiction I found some great makeup products that I will always use now !! Stuff that I have been trying to find for years... and have finally found. These are the few things that I have to have !!


This is Kat Von D Tatto Liner.. I have no idea who she is.. but I love this stuff. I have tried countless liquid liners. They either smear too much, or don't stay on.. or get all caught up in my eyelashes. But this stuff is the best !! It stays put... and the applicator makes it really easy to work with. Thumbs up for me !!



Any beauty store you go on.. online.. raves about Bare Minerals. I know why now !! It is awesome from their cover up, to blush, to shimmer, to anything... good stuff !! This particular item is the all over face color. I use True.. I love it because during the winter when I start getting pasty white.. :) This stuff adds a shimmer and shine. And I like me some bling !!

K.. how many different mascaras have you tried? If you are like me... probably a lot !! I have used Estee Lauder for years... but just happened to come across this mascara. It is amazing. I have had fake eyelashes.. if I use this mascara.. it gives me the fake eyelash look !! And it isn't clumpy, or chunky. Love me some Buxom !! They also make a great lip gloss too.

Teacher Slave Drivers

A couple of Friday's ago, we had a fundraiser for Interask, a club that I am adviser for. The kids are trying to jumpstart raising money for Angel Tree this year. Students bid on their favorite teachers to wash a car of their choice. We didn't have many cars due to it being Halloween weekend. But, those that came had a blast. My favorite part were the kids that brought lawn chairs and goodies to watch their teacher wash their car. Good stuff!!

Embedded Birthday Moments

About a month ago Andal called me and told me that Brianne's wish for her birthday was that she could spend the day with me. Well.. pull my freakin arm !!! :) So I headed up to surprise Brianne for her birthday. The best part about it... wasn't the shopping, or the food, or the relaxing... or even the laughing !! The best part that will forever be embedded in my mind and heart is the look on Brianne's face when she saw me, and the hug that she gave me. You just don't get those kind of moments very often... and I was so lucky to get one. I will never forget it. Thanks Briannie for loving me and making me so happy !! I am so proud of you and am lucky to be your godmother. Happy Birthday Honey !! :)

It's Thrillertime !!

Every year about this time... me, Ang, Stace, and Charles head on down to Tuachan on a cold, fall night, and enjoy a Halloween jig. Thriller is just awesome.. there are dances with witches, frankensteins, mummies, skeletons, monsters, and aliens. It is the highlight of my Halloween. This year there was a new dance for Twilight.. good stuff !! Can't wait till next year !!

King of Me

Lately I have just been.. UGH.... What is the word I am looking for... annoyed, bitchy, pissed off, easily angered, short-tempered, sick of being taken advantage of... Yah, those are the words. Seriously, I need to get over it.. cause I know I am only hurting myself... but, I am loving this song right now.. cause I just really feel like this is me sometimes. At times... I just keep quiet, hiding how I really feel to protect others.. or to be nice... but the older I am getting that is slowly changing. Good or bad??!! I don't know yet.. I'll get back to ya. :) I think that what is important is finding a happy medium between giving.. and standing up for yourself... I just have to find it so that I feel that I am "King of Me". My Pet Lion

When I was younger, I remember going to Magic Mountain.. or maybe it was Knott's Berry Farm... one of those... and I had my picture taken with a huge lion. I remember how regal and beautiful it was... like a raw beauty.. I couldn't take my eyes off it. Strangely, I was not afraid... but rather the lion had a calming effect on me. I could feel his strength... and his size made me feel protected and loved. I remember wrapping my arms around the lion and hugging him after I got my picture taken. The photographer was a little shocked at how calm I was with the lion. To this day.. I still feel that way about lions. When people have asked if I could have any pet animal what would I choose... Lion. I have had many people come and go in my life... some have been a quiet, subtle influence. Others have come and will always be there.. whether they are near or not. Their strength and calmness make me feel protected. They are my "lions" you could say. I remember the first time I met Wulf... he was glaring at me like.. "What the hell are you staring at?" More like he roared it. :) The kid is amazingly strong.. has literally been through hell and back. He never gives up and has courage like no other. If he wants something.. he works hard until he gets it. He has a soft, heart.. that he does not like to show.. and the kid can look at people, nature, the world.. and find beauty in everything. I don't have my own kids.... but like I have said before.. I have been blessed to have kids through my teaching career.. be a part of my life. Wulf is truly one of them. He charged into my life like a lion... and has been a great blessing to me. It was his birthday at the beginning of this month and I missed it !! So, happy belated birthday my Wulf. I know that you will absolutely hate this post. But, yah... I don't care !! Deal with it :)

Tampa the TV Critic- Friday's

Here is what is on the TiVo on Friday's:

SUPERNATURAL- I have posted about this show a couple of times now... I love this show !! It is brutally sad and intense.. but it shows the strength of persistence and fight... I like it !! And the guys are amazingly hot !!







MEDIUM- Love this show.. have watched it since the beginning. This season has not disappointed. The main character has the ability to see ghosts and has dreams that show her the future, past, or present. The writing is great !! And the show is just different and interesting !!






BLUE BLOODS- Great cop show. I like it because it deals with the family side of law. It shows how each family member has a different view, and how at times they have to pick law or family. Love Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck in it too !!









THE GOOD GUYS- Seriously hilarious !! A cop show.. but it has an old school cop and new school cop as partners. The old school guy is great... laugh out loud great !! Another thing that is cool about the show is they go back and forth in time... which keeps ya on your toes a bit.




HAVEN- Great show on Sci-Fi. The season finale was a couple of weeks ago.. but I figured I would still do a little write up. Since it is on Sci-Fi.. it has a little weirdness, and supernatural side to it. The characters are interesting, and the stories even more interesting. I like it because it is something different. Not the typical cop, lawyer, or doctor show. I will definitely watch next season.
