Bird Tassel

I found a wonderful blog that had a post on how to make tassels its called betasseled and I thought that I would share it with you. I found the bird at one of our local shops for $2.00 and most of the ribbon I already had I just had to make a stop at Hobby Lobby for a few things. I like how it turned out and I think it looks pretty nice hanging from the cabinet in my bedroom. I'm now looking for a rooster but I've only found one that was ceramic and hubby couldn't get a hole drilled into it.

Hope you have a wonderful spring day!

Window Seat Pillows

I finally finished the pillows I was making for my bedroom window seat. It took me so long to get the buttons sewed onto the pillows.
It wasn't that they were hard but it was just making myself seat down and sew them on. But they are now finished and I like the way they look!
Have a wonderful Day!

Its done and in the room

Yes it did have doors on the bottom but I decided to leave the off and display more of my quilts in the bottom. As you can see I painted it red and then sanded on the edges to make it look old and then put a stain over the top. I left the top and just re stained it!
I also had two handles left over from our kitchen cabinets that I used on the top doors.

The blue quilt is I think the only quilt that my grandmother had made. Its made out of feed sack from the 1930's.

Five Pumpkins done

While working on my cabinet (which I should have pictures in the next few days) I have also been working on my quilt. All five pumpkins are complete. I really don't know why I took the picture this way but I did!
And now I'm working on all the leaves!

And more leaves!
Have a nice almost spring day!

What a little spray paint can do!

I love spray paint! Hubby thinks I would be a tagger if I was younger.
We needed a TV cabinet for our bedroom so I looked on line at one of our local web sights and found this one in our neighborhood for $75.00. One of the doors needs to be fixed but hubby is good at that. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
And this is a wooden box that I found in the garbage at work after Christmas. What will be become!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

It's Back!

I can't believe that just two days ago it was almost up to 60 and now this is what I woke up to. All the snow had melted and hubby had even tiled the front yard on Wednesday. I was hoping spring was here but I'm not that lucky!
But I was lucky enough to win this box full of yarn from one of my fellow blogger from Camp Runamuck. I thought I was winning a few skeins of yarn not a box full. But I was so happy to see some great sock yarn and more!
Thank You Theresa!

Dragonfly Quilt Done!

This picture is pretty dark I just couldn't get a good picture with it being such a cloudy day! I wish I had got it done the day before because it was such a beautiful sunny spring like day. But that just didn't happen!
I really like how it has turned out, it took some time to hand sew the binding onto the back. But I do like how the yellow on the black looks!
Just thought that you might like the see the back, its really red!
I had to show you a closeup of the quilting! I love the flower border with the little dragonflies!
