Happy Thanksgiving....To you!

Kenya has been singing a song she learned in school all month, "What does a turkey say....gobble, gobble gobble...." It ends with "Happy Thanksgiving....to you!"  Leila has learned it too and they sing it constantly.  I think Kenya sings it in the video at the bottom of the post, it's a cute little song.  Anyway, we had a great Thanksgiving.  We hosted this year and it was great to have my family there.  I love this holiday.

My mom, Cami and I, and now my nieces Sailor and Kaia get together the night before and make the pies.  We whipped them out pretty quick this year.  3 banana cream, coconut cream, pumpkin, and bitter chocolate silk.  Delish.

It was kind of sunny out!

We had fun with these photo props.  Thanks pinterest.

It was a beautiful day and nice to be able to send everyone outside.  Mark and Charlie rounded up some neighborhood boys and their dads earlier for a turkey bowl, we had a little scrimmage after we ate too.

So thankful for this little beauty in our lives.

So thankful for these wonderful siblings and that we're all so close.

Awkward family photos. :)

We got it figured out.

Ivy is four months younger than Cora but they weigh the same!

We had a little Karaoke in the basement going on.  Kenya sings her "Happy Thanksgiving" song.
I love being able to reflect on what we're truly grateful for during the holidays.  The older you get the more blessings you realize you have.  I am so blessed and feel so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful life.  Yes I have troubles and trials but overall I just feel incredibly blessed and am one grateful gal.

I love our annual black Friday shopping.  This year we went to Target at 9:00ish ( I can't believe stores opened at 8:00 on Thanksgiving!)  We didn't get or need much there this year.  Then we woke up early and headed up to Park City, then City Creek.  Sailor came with us this year.  Sailor is 14 but she probably looks more like she's 10 or 11.  When we went to eat they gave her a kids menu with crayons and everything.  We got a good laugh out of it.

We did some damage!

Happy Birthday Charlie!

Dear Charlie,

How are you 9?! These years are going faster and faster.  I love watching you grow up though and am trying to continue to take it all in.  I am so proud of the boy you've become.  You continue to be more and more independent and responsible.  You love being self sufficient.  I love how you race to get Cora out of her room in the morning when you hear her.  You care about your sisters and your dad is your best bud.  Well, him and Brock Nixon. :)  You are so smart and love Math.  You were the first one in your class to pass off all of your times tables and I didn't have to help you one bit.  For a few days you got to help your class mates while they all passed theirs off to you.  You are confident but cautious at times.  You care about others and are very observant.  You love to tease your sisters too. They look up to you so much though.  I am so proud of you Charlie and love you to the moon.

We invited some of our (and Charlie's) friends over to watch the Utah game on his birthday.  They were playing the Oregon Ducks.  It was Charlie's off year for a party but we still had a good little celebration.  He had a late night with a couple friends and had a lot of fun.

He had an indoor soccer game at 7:00 am!  Good thing he doesn't sleep in.

He got this Black Utah jersey and wore it Saturday, Sunday, I let him wear it to school Monday but when he came down Tuesday morning with it on again I had to draw the line! I think he likes it.

Look at that cute little Ute girl!
