Moved to Cabin No. 6706

After almost 1 month here, me, Jen and Cyndi got moved from Colter Hall No. 48 into a Cabin next to Maswik Cafe No 6706. Please don't let mum know. If not she will sure buy this numbers as 4-D lor. The Cabin is supposed to be a more convenient place for the 8 of us. Cause it is near Maswik Cafeteria. Food is is easily available, internet is in Maswik, though the cafe may close at 10pm, but still opened for people to use the internet. ANother good thing is that early in the morning is super duper cold, while waiting for the internal shuttle bus to work, I can stay indoor.

My situation here...

Officially worked for Xanterra Company as a Cafeteria Morning Shift Line Server, in Yavapai ( a place's name), anyway, there is only 2 cafeteria in Grand Canyon, and 3 dinning rooms. My shift is from 530am to 130pm. So I have to wake up at 4am to start preparing and reached Yavapai at 501am. If nothing goes wrong, I should work 5 days per week. If there is more staff, then I may only work 4 days per week.

Oh I ga po a lot of stuff in the cafe lor. I took cookies, fruits, cakes, and whatever easy to ga po food items. But I am still a Juvenile as compared to the Thais who came to work in USA too much earlier.

I am free in the afternoon and the night. So i went to look for a second job as a cashier in a grocery store, "General Store". Working time is noramally 3pm to 10pm. In General Store, I work the most 3 days per week. Hehe, cause I still need my wonderful sleeping time. I am a pig I keep emphasizing.

If I work for both places, my eyes will be damn dry. Contact lenses will almost come off.

This coming Thursday, I will be transfered to El Tovar Dining room as a AM busser. I will normally work from 7am to 3pm. There will be tips too. And the tips is quite a lot sia. I will then be earning much more then I earn in Yavapai. Hmm, the sad news is that I only have a 4 days week in El Tovar because they are over staffed. I can still go work General Store maybe from 5pm to 10pm lor.") Hopefully I can earn back the 3 thousand plus.

Almost Died

I think I am really allergy to MILK. I love MILK.

Everytime I bought milk from employees' cafe. The very next hour, I will have stomaches. For the first time, I didn't realize it is the milk. I tried drinking milk the second time and confirmed that it is the root cause.

Last night, I wanted to da bian. So went to buy milk again. I had milk at around 7 pm. Slept at 12am. At 1am plus, the pain in my stomach was so serious to cause me wake up from the pain. I feel like dying at 1 plus. I have never experience that level of pain before. Worst than menstruation.

I could not even walk properly to the toilet. I cant really move. But I needed the toilet so badly. In the end, no da bian, keep farting and feel like vomiting. I cant sit straight cant move. Every little move is a torture. I really thought I am going to die in USA.

I feel like fainting, wanted to call Manager for MC, but dont even have the energy to call. I almost wanted to call for an ambulance. Went toilet twice within that hour.

Boiled water, drank hot water, hoping that I will feel more comfortable. Ate iron pill.

Finally, lay flat on the bed at 240am. Managed to nap awhile, and by 345am, time to get up for work, I am ok.

I will never drink e-cafe milk again. Char yi dian can meet si shen.

USA Plateau Point

Saturday, me, Jen, Leon, Clemence and Victor went down the Canyon to the plateau point.

We had our breakfast at 630am, eat until 730am before we set off down the Grand Canyon. We took a few pictures here and there as we proceed. Going down is such a breeze. But the treks are rather slippery especially with my shoes.

We finally reached plateau point at 11am. 2.5 hours down. OMG. I can’t imagine how I am going to get back up to the peak of the Canyon. We machiam have picnic there and we got cut by many mules, hybrid of houses and donkeys

Some kind of rich people took the relaxing mule rides down and up the plateau point. It cost USD190. Damn expensive can. Although it is really once in a life time thingy, but I just don’t find it worth the money. I am only 22 this year. Thus I believe I can make it down and up by my own feet. By the way there are many small little things that are also once in a life time. It is just that we may not have realized that.

Plateau is extremely beautiful. It is worth going down once on your life time. I made it. Sense of achievement.

Coming back up is such a painful torture. I am not going to hike down the Canyon anymore, though there are a number of trails I can choose from. That time was the south kaibah trail, now the Bright Angel trail to the Plateau point down there. No more.

We started walking back at 12 noon. My steps are small and slow, damn straining. I was panting like crazy just after less than 5 minutes walk up. I took a lot of breaks in between. Haha, I am sorry that I cause a burden to the other people as I am the weakest of them all.

We saw squirrels, Ravens, Condors and even “mountain sheep”. The sheep is fierce. It jumped down of the Canyon, not walking the trails like I did. I can not imagine how it survived. Damn furious and fast. By the pace that sheep is going down, we took 2.5 hours, it may only take 15 to 30 minutes to Plateau point. Strong and fit sheep. It jumped over the trails, knocking some rocks and pebbles down. We thought it is going to attack or hit someone right below it when it jumped over.

I experienced thigh cramps due to the little sodium intake. I am the sweet-addict, not a salty-addict. I love everything sweet.

By 4pm, we finally got back up. Relief. Again, I have craving for ice-creams, something sweet, not salty, although I had cramp.

I have sun-burn and my skin are extremely dry. USA is not humid at all. I machiam like having skin problem, rashes and peeling skin. Pain pain. My butt and down is aching today. I like USA. Fun.
