School Starts

This little guy starts kindergarten today, sigh... The mixed feelings that come with the start of school are killing me this year. Gideon moving to 1st grade, Kodi in 3rd, what is the world coming to? :) I feel like time is passing too fast. Like I am missing out on things. Makes me sad.
Remember when this little dude was just learning to walk and talk?
Or when this girly sang "popcorn right in my eye"?
Growing up is good! This is what is supposed to happen! They are great little people! I sure love all four of their stinky guts!! (sniff, sniff)

MUD PARTY!

Let us not forget the mud party we had! This summer has been wild with random rain showers. When it comes down it comes down fast with huge drops. Because of this our backyard became a huge mud pit. So after dinner one night we let the kids run wild! Some were less "adventurous" than others about the mud, but they all ended up dirty which was the point, right?

Beach

This summer we had to play outside with water almost every single day! Kodi wanted play at the beach. So when one lives in the desert, one has to get creative. She borrowed her brother's dump truck and hauled sand from the backyard to the front porch. Add some water, a bucket, and a towel and Presto you have a beach!!

Hiking Day

Grandpa took us all on a hike and introtuced us to geocaching! The kids LOVED it! This hike was up by Parowan, the falls were gorgeous, the company was wild!
Here we are eating our lunch. Each kid carried their own backpack with their lunch. I was so proud of them all. I wasn't carrying any kid stuff even at the end. Only one traumatic event when Kodi had to go potty outside. It is tricky for us girls to do that outside. All I can say is that it takes practice. She was embarrassed and probably won't forget the experience for some time. :)

Daddy and Tell had to have a short nap along the trail, while the others were searching for the treasure. SHHHH!

Family Reunion

So we had two family reunions this month. The first one was up Cedar Mountain at the ranch. There was so much mud! (The pond had more mud in it than water.) My cousin Justin (more than just him but he was the scariest) covered himself in mud. Then he went around camp scaring unsuspecting children. :) I love how Trace is oblivious at first. He recovered quickly after a hug from mom and we watched this video and got him laughing.

Then off to the other family reunion. Heath got me on a horse. After I rolled 50ft down the mountain on a horse, and am covered in bruises....(not really but it was that traumatic for me) Heath has decided we need a horse!

We had tons of fun, and it was great to see all of our family!!
