Asheville Get Away

To kick off Fall Break, we headed to Asheville with the Evans, while our boys spent time with grandparents.  It was a quick weekend trip, but it was just what we needed...time to enjoy being "us."  We checked out some breweries, ate really well, hiked, and just relaxed.  It's always fun to get away, especially when you're with great friends!  

7th Grade Tremont

The 7th grade class went to Tremont for a week, and Brody absolutely loved it!!  They hiked, played games, explored, learned, and created some awesome memories together.  I love that he was able to experience this with his classmates.  We missed him like crazy though, and enjoying a family dinner together at Sanders Ferry when he got back is just what we needed!

Colby's Cardiology and Pacemaker Check-up

Colby had his six month follow up with cardiology and pacemaker check today, and thankfully he is looking good!!  His oxygen saturations even showed 100!  That has never happened, and I have to say it feels good seeing that on paper!

His fitness challenge for Dr. Doyle today was number of sit ups in a minute.  Dr. Doyle got 41 and Colby got 56.  I think they both may be a little sore later.  Ha!

The check up was all fun and games until Dr. Doyle told Colby he had to wear a holter monitor for 24 hours as a routine check.  Colby is not thrilled about it, but he will survive!  He always does!

Goal!!!

I'm the worst at taking pictures and videos during the boys' games, but thankfully a mom from Colby's team sent me this video of one of his recent goals.  His celebration at the end is the funniest!

Weekend Getaway to Boca

Jason and I were blessed with a quick weekend getaway to Boca near the end of September.  Time alone is not always easy to get, so I'm thankful for two uninterrupted days together.  We slept in, went for runs together, walked and explored, talked and dreamed, and ate well!  I love this man and our life together!

Hall of Heroes

It was a very cool night seeing Colby honor his hero Taylor Washington at Merrol Hyde's Hall of Heroes event. I can't think of a better choice for a hero...Taylor is a great guy with a huge heart, who also happens to be an incredible soccer player.  Our family is blessed to know him!  

Happy 13th Birthday Brody!

We officially have a teenager! Happy 13th Birthday to one awesome kid!  He's funny (at times), he's smart, he's kind, he's handsome, he's athletic, he's a hard worker, and he's all ours!!  Thank you God for blessing us with Brody!

Sweat Reset

Sweat Reset was like a dream!  I am so thankful for the opportunity to go on this weekend retreat and share it with a special friend like Cynthia.  Having a weekend to unplug and recharge with some amazing people in a beautiful place is priceless!!  This is truly a weekend that I will not forget!
