Chris Rocks

Easton chose to do his science experiment this year on comparing mouth washes.  Chris (is AWESOME) and let us come visit his lab one day and let Easton do it there.  He learned SO much and had the time of his life.  He has told everyone about his experience and is excited to one day go to college and work in a DNA lab and then to Med school like Uncle Chris.  Chris even let E and Abe take a tour of the different labs.   We saw (and smelled) a lot of animals both dead and alive.....which is a huge hit for boys!!  Thank you Uncle Chris you're the BEST!!!.....Oh, and Easton wants everyone to know that Adam took him to the Jazz game when they played Miami.  He not only ate his heart out to a very enjoyable game but was able to get his picture taken with the Jazz girls.  Whoot! Whoot!  He was very excited.  Adam didn't take any pictures but is suppose to be getting the one the Jazz girls in his email any day now. :).....It may or may not be worry of being developed.  That is left to be determined by his mother. :)
Abe with his posse.  They are fun trouble.  ALWAYS an adventure.  This week they wanted to play Avengers.  They pulled out the weapons and needed something (other than each other) to hit.  So I pulled out some empty boxes and let them go to town.
Meg wanted to find out what makes a volcanoe erupt this year for her science project.
Abe had a Beach Day (on probably the coldest day of the year) this year and came home with lots of beach gear including a fake fish and fish bowl.  He was very excited.

Meg's December Adventures

Meg went to a dance clinic where her dance instructors where from "So You Think You Can Dance"  Then after Christmas I took her to the Justin Bieber concert.

I check the blog regularly to see if anybody has posted new stories/pictures/and decided that it was time somebody did it.
Our family is doing well.  We are pluggin along and have done some fun things over the last couple of weeks.  Here are some pictures of events that I don't  believe have been documented on the blog yet.
Matthews family Pie night at Mom and Dad's house.
There was a great big turnout. My little pecan tarts
were scrumptious.  I do believe they would be preferable to
a Marie Calendars Pie any day (Adam)

She is a climber!
This is her attempt to get onto the table.  She will even try when all
the chairs have been pushed in (to prevent her from climbing onto the table)
She was very stuck.

This is Thanksgiving morning at the Zoo.  Somebody told us that the Zoo animals get to eat their own little feast and we decided to go check it out.  It was crowded and a lot of fun!

Thanksgiving at home later on the same day.  Just a different set of animals.

Fancy hairdo

Further proof that we have a climber on our hands.

We went on the speed train to downtown to check out the lights.  Lots of fun and very cold!

Mom volunteered to come down to my house and make neighbor gifts with me for Christmas.
It was a lot of fun and I felt LUCKY to have Mom close by.  My neighbors are lucky too because it was mighty tasty stuff.

Nativity on Christmas Eve.
It is the first time we had no adult participation (except the donkey and the wicked King Harod)

The donkey died?

Abe was a wise man proclaiming glad tidings?  Maybe the trombone genes went to Abe.

Our own homemade sledding hill.  Steve built stairs in the snow so they can climb up on their own off the backside of the hill.  Awesome!

Popular Christmas present.

The two of us went skiing this weekend.  Bliss.

HOT DOG.

Great view on the snow sofa.

Pie Day for Matt's office in Garland. Dena (office manager) and I had to pick up 200+ pies for his office to give out to dentists in the area. This is probably only 40.
We decorated gingerbread houses for family home evening a few weeks ago. Sydney and I made the house and Matt/boys made the train.
There was snow on Christmas Day! This is an amazing thing for Dallas. So we borrowed some sleds and took advantage while it lasted.
' Charlotte met Santa at our ward Christmas party. They didn't part as friends. This is her frantically trying to free her hand from his beard.
