Our version of the Nativity with several costume changes to accommodate the small cast. After several attempts to get Matt to be a wiseman or shepherd, he successfully convinced me that the narrator was a full-time job.

Christmas Eve

Christmas morning before we opened presents.

Spencer was most excited for his cowboy outfit (minus the belt and hat) He loved the spurs and wore this around two days in a row. Last night I was instructed to wash it so he could wear it again today. He really wanted to wear it to church yesterday, but dad said firmly "no spurs at church".

Spencer's pagent & Matt's pie social

Spencer played a shepherd in his preschool's Christmas pagent. It was very cute. This picture with their mouths open is of the kids saying "Happy Birthday Jesus!" (He goes to a Baptist preschool).

This year Matt offered a prize to the best outfit so that he wasn't the only one looking ridiculous. So his office manager Dena won with her long sweatshirt with a deer painted on it. I had a hard time getting 170 Costco pies in my van. The office said it was a success though.

'Tis The Season

We are looking forward to Alan flying in for Christmas. Mom has the whole house decorated to reflect the Christmas Time Spirit and it has been fun to be here. Amelia had her 6 month shots yesterday and took them like a trooper, a crying trooper, but a trooper none the less. We are planning to spend Christmas in Utah and then travel the eastern seaboard and southern states over the next month to finally arrive in the land of Arizona. Hot and splendid! Hopefully we can settle in without many glitches and then we expect visitors!

Christy took our family pictures when Alan was home for Thanksgiving. She did a great job!
Amelia looking very fine and exhibiting her new skill of sitting unassisted.

Amelia in her car seat with her winter hat on...it is cold here. If you look close she is bearing her two new bottom teeth.
Oh Christmas Tree!

She likes to feel the fake tree's spiky needles and look at the beautiful lights.

The other day I introduced her to her toothbrush and she loves it!

Sydney's student of the week and Nathan's baptism

Nathan's baptism went well. He was very excited to have both grandma's and his grandpa there to see him take this big step.

Sydney was chosen in her class to be "Rider of the Week" which meant she exhibited good citizenship, good manners, and good work all week. They do a live broadcast each Friday to honor them, so mom and dad were able to come.
