Becov Nad Teplou, the castle and Zamek from the backside.
Hello Family,
So this is the last entry I will make on Blog. President didn't say I couldn't post anymore, but i have made the decision myself to stop. It isn't that it distracts me, but the rule is no contact with anyone but family, and outside of emails, except with permission, which I had. I would rather however not flirt the line. I am sorry that I didn't post more when I had the chance to. I always think that I am doing so good with life, because I really dont look to see how I can do better. But now I know that I can. These are the pictures for the vilet All of us, the AP's, and Office elders looking sketchy.we went on a few weeks ago. It was so cool. We did a little triple stop. We traveled with the President and his wife and the Alsops, the office couple, the AP's, and us. We went to Karlovy Vary, then took a little drive to Loket, which is an extremely beautiful castle near there, and then we finished off by gonig to a little castle/mansion called Bechov nad Teplou. which entitled a really scary forest drive. The pictures are pretty cool I thought. Then at the end of the post I have a little something I threw in there for all my brothers and for Mom. It might be a little more spiritual, I thought so. I love you all. I hope that you know that. If you could post your comments if you have any on my emails to me, that would be loved. I can't Becov Nad Teplou, the front end. It was closed for the winter still, but doesn't it look beautiful. This is the Zamek, or mansion.believe I am on a mission, but I am so happy I am. I cannot begin to express the joy taht I have and recieve from serving a mission. The blessings and the tender mercies I see every day are overwhelming. Please dont forget that I know that the gospel is true. I am so happy that I, and all my brothers have had the opportunity to tell and testify of that to people all over the world. Jesus is the Christ, and his love for us radiates from the acts that he did for us, the atonement, his teachings, his service, his example, his death, and his resurrection. I wish all of you the very best in life for the next year, until I see you all again. I will try and send hard pictures at some point now i guess, but I dont know if I will ever find time to.All of us posing in front of Loket Castle from the bridge across the Moat. Mother, did you recieve my package with my cd's in it of pictures? If not, please tell me and I will make more and send them. I love you all. Enjoy the pictures. Love, Elder Hill, your Little Brother
Loket
Again another picture of Loket, but it looks a little cooler I think with the leveled fields going up.
Me sitting next to the south tower on Loket Castle
Can somebody say Abbey Road? Isn't that the beatles album that looks like this?
The view from the inside the tower, at teh town, and the little canyon beneath us.
The inner town and the town square. The crazy thing is the house structure in this little town is the same as in Prague and other cities here, its just small and one right next to the other.
The Bridge across the moat. It is so cool.
Us sitting in the Torture chamber. We got to see how medievil torture worked, and some of the stuff we even got to try out, it was pretty cool.
Us walking around inside the castle walls
Me trying to do a heel click, but missing it in the picture, so instead looking like the scarecrow off of Wizard of Oz.
Just an alley way in Loket, and me standing next to all the tires I had to switch off the cars. They have winter and summer tires here and if you get caught driving winter tires in summer, you get a big fat fine slapped on you. I love office work.
The Book of Mormon closet that I organized. here we are missing two book cases of book of mormons, but each of those stacks is a different language of BOM, we have a total I believe of 113. It was so cool for me to do this, and realize that this isn't a confined work, but that it is spreading to all the world.
Ok, so I thought it would be cool to do this. I guess you could say it is kind of like a picture with all my brothers. I am so glad that all of us served missions, and that we are all such honorable sons of our father in heaven. The gospel is true, and the light of the world. I know that this book is just as true, in Chinese, Japanese, and Czech as I know its true in English. I love all of you and hope taht you are doing great. Please dont ever let you light damper, or fade.
Love you all,
Elder Hill
Here is just a random picture of me, I thought it was cool because the light whited out everything on that side of my white shirt, and the outline of my face. I did it to elder crane and his looks better, but I will take what I can get. I just look so mysteriously misty.

I LOVE ELDER HILL
Well, I guess if you are only going to check one more time, I should post something! Although we have been pretty boring recently. Last Thursday I was on call and that was great. Thursday calls are always the best because then you get a three day weekend...and usually you only get them before vacation weeks, but last Thursday was just a gift from our scheduling chief. And then Friday...I had the nastiest stomach bug. I just laid around all day and felt nasty. So, a three day weekend damaged. But, by Saturday (24 hours later) I felt great! So, we cleaned the house in preparation for the Pi Day Pie Party...we wish you all could have come.
Carolyn, a girl in our ward, and myself threw the Pi Day party at our house. Both Alan and I were late to our own party. I had been talked into getting a pedicure (it required little talk) and it turned out taking 2.25 hours...so I showed up 20 minutes late to my own party. Alan had also been talked into making a pinewood derby car for our friend Abby's step-son, whose father is deployed. The boy wanted it to look like a Hershey Chocolate Bar and boy did it! Unfortunately, they were working on it when the party started...so he was at least at home to let people in. When I got home there were probably 10 people there and we were both changing upstairs.
It turned out to be great though. I made a blueberry pie...my first, and really probably one of only 3-4 pies I have ever made. It was tasty. There were also apple pies, lots of banana cream, a coconut cream, a peanut butter (delicious!), a cheese cake, and a tofu chocolate pie. We ate a lot. I will post my blueberry pie picture (in the making).
We also played a great game called Abstracts and apparently it can only be found at DI in Utah, so keep your eyes open. We loved it. It was made in the 70's and comes in a light bluish-gray box with hyroglyphic looking pictures on it. The family would love it!
This week we just worked and it seemed we worked late most nights. Thursday we received free tickets to the Duke NCAA game in Greensboro and so we went there with our friends Janet and Steve. It was really fun. Then Friday I was on call. Saturday we helped Abby move and then that night was the beginning of our Stake Conference and today we have the main session of Stake Conference. It should be great! We miss and love you all. We hope Matthew is loving San Antonio. We can't wait to hear how it is. We will have to play online Ticket to Ride!
Oh, and lest we forget the true purpose of the post...We Love you Elder Hill!

San Antonio
Matt and I enjoyed our long drive to San Antonio, from the Moab slick rocks, to the Monticello temple, the barren and quite sad Indian Reservations in New Mexico, Albuquerque, and the UFO/alien town of Roswell. It was hard to leave him there, but know that we will definitely love seeing him every other weekend. Here are some pictures that he took when he went there in January, and some I took of him in his new bachelor pad and office.

Come see the Picture Board...?
So in reading some of the posts that have gone before me and in re-reading some emails and letters from my friends...I decided that I am not as good a writer as I thought I once was. I lack that natural finess and style that comes with people who write interesting and entrancing entries. I also noticed that this whole schmorgasboard (what kind of screwed up country is Germany that uses words like that) of picture entries isn't as nearly as exciting as just like one or two pictures, and a story of what happened with them. So I will try to keep a semi-regular updates going on of what I call "picture stories", and hopefully that will pull my sad excuse for updates into something fun to read, instead of the thing you scroll over to see if someone posted a comment on your update. So here is the last one, with some fun pictures in it, I hope you all enjoy, I love you bunches.
OK, at Christmas when you called me, and I said I was at that members house in Marianske Lazne, you know the British one who is way well off, this is the country that he lives in, this is his backyard. Isn't it just like the Ranch in Idaho.
some more scenery.
This is Marianske Lazne the town that he lives in. He actually lives outside of the twon, this is a very touristy town and tons of people come for the springs of life here. This is one of the town squares there and a river runs right through the middle of it.
Me at the jewish quarters, wearing my yamika, which is a sign of respect when you go through. They wear them during prayers and when they are trying to keep their minds on focus and God. Don't you think that I wuold make such a nice looking Jew...JK!
This is the Old Jewish Graveyard, it is so packed and the graves date back to the 1300's
Me in the Graveyard.
This was on Valentines day, it is the Metro line in Prague "Staromesta" which is old town, the part with the astronomical clock. The Story behind this one is me and Crane were contacting on the Metro and he got off one stop before I did, so I got off at the next one and waited for him to come to me, and this is the stop I got off on, and it was so Valentine day colors that I had to take a picture with it.
Me on the top of the catholic cathedral, in the bell tower, on my last day in Plzen.
This is a newer development we were tracting in Plzen before I left, I thought it was a fun picture of shoulder to shoulder apartment buildings and sweet colors.
Some intricate designs on some of the buildings here.
Also a picture from Marianske Lazne, this is the same river from up above.
Marianske Lazne
These are just some cool traintracks that I found, and it looked like such a serene picture to me. They are just running out into forever.
This is the Town hall in Plzen. All those little black and white things on that builidng are really really really intricate designs.
The tram stop to our building in Plzen.
OK, so I know that it wasn't that exciting, but taht willb e the last one, because I am giong to try and do some fun ones from now on. This saturday we have a vilet with the office (President and Sister Slovacek, the Alsops, the AP's, and us) to two castles, and back to Karlovy Vary so hopefully we will get to see some really cool stuff. One of the Castles is Loket, if you want to look it up on the internet and see it. EXCITING!!!
These are snowflakes outside of our home when I was in Plzen. We stuck Elder Cranes wet sock out the window and it froze with snowflakes in this pattern, it is so fun to see how every snowflake is so intricate. This is teh Czech Republic in the snow, Plzen to be exact.
