Family update

It's pretty much a lost cause to get caught up on my blog since I haven't had a new post since January... so I figure I'll just start off from right now...

Kambree started first grade this year and is so far loving it! No surprise there, she's always loved school. Though she doesn't necessarily like getting up at 7 a.m. Konnor is also in school this year, he started kindergarten and I'd say he mostly loves it. He goes in the morning and is done before lunch.

Here are some pictures of the first day for both of them.

We recently had some family pictures taken, which is actually a first for us. I'm so happy we did it! I had a friend in my neighborhood take them and she did a great job :)

And last but certainly not least, Russell and I are expecting another baby :) I'm 18 weeks pregnant and we'll find out in 2 weeks if we're having a boy or girl! I'm due February 13th. We are all very excited!

A puppy and a snowman

December 3rd, Russ and I went to his work party at Hamitons-and the kids spent the night at their Nana and Papa's house.

They got to play with Bailey (the cute and adorable puppy) and build a snowman. They love staying the night at their grandparents house and didn't want to come home.

Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and I was really nervous that I wouldn 't be able to pull it off. My mom and Lynn came, Heather, Jesse and their 2 kids stayed with us and we also had Brandon and Britt and their family over. A total of 15 people. Luckily, I have a fantastic Mom who really helped so much- or did it all. Don't worry I assisted.
Heather made me some new snowflake ornaments and hung them above my table for me.
The table once we started getting the food on it...

The adorable kids table. As they were waiting they started looking through catalogs and it was so cute- Nolan was picking out things everyone might like. This group of kids get a long so well and really do like to be together.

The day after Thanksgiving Mom, Heather, Britt and I went shopping at 5AM. It was really cold but I was so happy to have my family come here for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure I'll ever convince Lynn to come here again in the winter- but we'll take what we can get.

Building the first snowman of the Season

The kids were so excited when we got snow to build a snowman! The neighbors saw us and came to help.

November- Pumpkin Walk

We had some of our great friends visit in November! It was so good to see them- we went to the pumpkin walk, the park then dinner and games.
It was so good to get our group of friends back together- (I hope they come back to visit soon.... )

Russell's Birthday

Russell's birthday October 14. We had just a simple family night together. It was great, the kids picked out some gifts for him. (Transformers) Something that Russ and the kids enjoy doing together. I made Russ an oatmeal cake- an old family favorite.
