Lottie

Is now almost 4 months old.  She is growing like a weed & is a smiley, happy baby.  We all love to make her laugh & smile.  I take every chance I can to snuggle her & kiss her.  I'll be forever grateful to Heavenly Father for sending me such an easy-going baby for my third one.

At her two month check-up, she weighed 15lbs 8ozs.  She was off the charts.  Her birth weight was 8lbs 9ozs.  Her length went from 21" at birth to 25" - again, off the charts.  Her head was in the 67th percentile.  She's a big girl & we love every squishy, drooly, pink thing about her!!

Burke

Just had a birthday!!

He seems like a such a big boy & plays with Carson & the neighborhood kids like he's 10 years old.

He's a pretty tender heart though and will burst in to tears if the right person looks at him the wrong way.

His nursery teacher told me he's a little gentleman.  For a long time when we'd ask him what he learned about in nursery, he'd say, "fish".  Now it's "Jesus".  Things are looking up.

He wuvs baby Wottie.  Even when he pokes her or pulls out her binkie or yells in her face or steals the pillow she's sitting on - it's out of love........

Favorite word mix-up from this summer:  Maflingos (flamingos)

Favorite moments:  -Playing with the Little People Noah's Ark set at my parents house & telling us that Noah takes people's shirts off.  What??  He was thinking of wicked King Noah in the Book of Mormon and the picture of Abinadi standing in front of him in chains with his shirt off.
-We were walking Carson to school & Carson jumped on the stroller for a ride & Burke said, "Oh Carson!  You're my favorite guy.  I wuv you so much!"
-The night of his birthday, he was having a hard time staying in his bed.  We'd told him a bunch of times to stay in his room & he was in there for a while.  Mark & I were in the living room folding laundry & he walked out & sat down in front of one of his toys & said, "I just need to play  with this for one minute."  I was fine & just about to tell him to go back to bed when Mark held up a shirt in front of his face to hide his laughing & I lost it too.  So much for not encouraging that kind of behavior.
-"I want to be (insert what we were just talking about here) when I grow up."  {Santa, a T-rex, a nurse, a rock}

Worst moment:  We were shopping at the outlets & the kids had done really well.  I let them sit on the coin operated "rides" & then we headed up to one more store.  I told them they could play on the playground if they were good shoppers for one more store.  Well, they weren't good shoppers.  I'd reminded & threatened for a long time & finally I took their chance away.  Burke had a really hard time with that.  He screamed and cried & threw a fit all the way from The Children's Place down to the van parked by Carter's & all the way to the corner by McD's in Heber.  I'm not talking about whining.  I'm talking about forcefully putting him in his carseat & putting his buckles on while he's arching his back & kicking.  He screamed about going back to Park City.  Carson covered his ears in the back seat & asked if we could just go back because he didn't like it when Burkee was mad.  I was proud of myself for not throwing a fit to go along with his but felt pretty bad that he was so upset.  He fell asleep a few blocks from home & had a big long nap & had forgotten about it by the time he woke up.

Our Burkee is one of a kind & we love him to death!  His expressions & comments & little body just make us smile & laugh!

Special thanks to Carson for taking a bazillion random pictures & capturing some of Burke's most common expressions.........

Yes, that's a fast food hamburger for his birthday dinner.  And yes, he chose a treat at the store instead of a home made cake.  It's 80* degrees in my house on a good day.  I haven't cooked a meal in 4 months or used my oven more than twice.
