Just call me...

I don't know what to call me, I thought I had a clever slogan, but I don't think I do. ha ha!

This past week I have been busy building, yup you heard me I have been building. You see when I moved out last September I bought this stupid plastic dresser thing (sort looks like Tupperware) to put in my walk-in closet, well I no longer have a walk-in closet to hide it in. So a couple weekends ago I went on a shopping spree for my room and bathroom and I bought some new furniture. ( I think you can call it that, ha ha) I brought home 5 pieces and it took all week and then some to get it put together. Now that was an accomplishment. I put them together all by myself (well my mom helped with one piece when she came to visit me) It was fun, and full filling when I finished. There were nights when I would be sitting in my room 11 o'clock at night with pieces of wood strewn across the floor, a screwdriver in hand, and staring at the instructions trying to decide if I was putting it together correctly. When I think about it now I can't help but laugh. Luckily I put it most of it together right the first time around. I feel like such a big girl. lol! Here's a few pics of my new furniture.

oooooh..

Weekend Dating Spree - Speechless

So, can I just say by Sunday I was speechless, literally. ha ha

No, really I lost my voice Saturday night it is hilarious. I've never lost my voice before. And no I don't feel sick I'm as healthy as ever. It's soooo weird, I hope to get it back soon.

I attribute this loss to the fact that I was out and about starting Thursday night. I helped a friend in need Thursday, which was fun. He's been rebuilding an old BMW and needed to get it to a mechanic and asked if I wouldn't mind helping him out. I drove his other car for him, also a BMW (those are nice cars-it was fun to drive) then we hung out a little when we got back. I was sort of double booked that Thursday night - shhh don't tell - I cancelled with the other guy which unfortunately lead to a DTR. It's all good I had that talk Friday night before my other date and we're friends it's cool. Friday I went out with this nice young man, but that was sort of over before it started, notice my choice of words (nice YOUNG man) a little too young but it was still a fun night. Then Saturday I had a double date with this guy from my ward. We went to Disney Land. The other guy on the date is an imagineer and got us all in for free. I had a blast. We not only did Disney Land, but the guys created this Disney Bingo Game we were playing all night as well. It was great. Unfortunately my date and I lost, but it was close. It was at the end of the night that I started losing my voice, it was hilarious. I think we all got a kick out of it. So as you can see it was a fun filled weekend, one that could make you lose your voice right? lol

Question??? Isn't this college life stuff. What happened? I think I'm doing everything backwards. College wasn't anything like this, am I right roommies?

Party!

Girls Gone Wild!
Well not really. Yesterday was my one of my roommate's birthday, not any birthday but her 21st. So my other roommate and I decided we needed to celebrate. We picked her up at school around 10:30 and then drove to Hollywood. We took her to a place called Saddle Back Chop House famous for their mechanical bull. Yup, we made her take a ride - it was great. It was really great watching all the drunk people give it a shot, but I have to say Alicia did pretty darn good. The girls were trying to get me up there, but I opted for another time. :)

Moved Again

I think things have finally gotten back to normal or whatever you want to call normal. I guess to me normal means back into the rhythm of everyday life. The holidays have been wonderful, but at the same time a little unorganized. On the 30th of December I moved again. (not too far from my old place) I am no longer part of Valley Village, but North Hollywood, a place we like to call NoHo Arts district. Truthfully my neighborhood isn't too NoHo is more Ghetto (I will not walk my streets at night-bad idea), but the complex itself is nice as well as our new apartment. It is a bit smaller than our old, well a bit is a little generous, its small but we were able to fit everything in it which was amazing. The good news is I'm only here for 6 months unless I decided to stay. I moved with 2 of my roommates from the other place, and things are good. I can safely say we are all moved in and happy. It took a couple of weeks, but I think I am warming up to the place. It's even closer to work and church so I really can't complain.

I'll just say it's nice to finally feel settled in. I had been all over from the OC to Agua Dulce to the Valley during the holidays, but now I'm home and that's nice. :) I can't wait to see what the rest of the month brings me.
