May Randomness

A duck made a nest with soft fluffy feathers and then laid her eggs in our yard.  We kept a close eye on them but sadly I don't think any of them survived due to either my mom's dog finding them or my 2 year old. 

This sweet girl always finds a spot to take a nap, even while doing school.

Memorial Weekend Hike

When I was a little girl my parents would take me on hikes and I LOVED it!!!  I always led my family in the front and didn't want to stop.  I want my kids to get that experience so we went on a short hike on Memorial Day and it was a beautiful day. 

We started with a picnic lunch.

My granny is an outdoorsy granny and has been on many a hikes.  So glad she got to be with us!

Papaw and Mamaw got to go with us because they live here now so that was an extra bonus!

We had a great day but I do have to say we are going to have to go on some more hikes and break these rookies in, they weren't quite as up for it as I was as a kid.

Mamaw brought S'more fixins' that we were going to make out back in our fire pit but we were beat and didn't want to make a fire so she just made them in the oven and they were still super good.
