Well I did nothing for Halloween, but the weekend before I went with Tressa and Abbie down to the high school state volleyball tournament. It was a lot fun, Enterprise took 3rd, we hung out with Tressa's family and came back home early Sunday morning. Then I took 2 tests that week, one in Dynamic Fitness and one in Creative Arts. I aced the Dynamic Fitness test, but haven't heard back on the Creative Arts one yet. Other than that I have just been studying and working out. One of my roommates bought a couple of pet crabs this week. She named them Jean Claude and Sebatian. One of them keeps ripping legs off of the other one, so we will probably only have one crab pretty soon. I went back to the Dr. on Wednesday and we decided to go get the rod put in my leg. I meet with the surgeon on Monday and I will have more details then. Until then I am still just crutching around, and hanging in there. We did get to register this week...I am going to take Anatomy, Intro to Physical Therapy, English 2010, a nutrition class, and a general physical science class.

Well I graduated from the boot! I now have a brace and can put 14 pounds on my leg...how you tell is a mystery to me, but it is nice. regardless of what it sounds like my leg isn't really improving, but there is no sense in staying off of it completely if that isn't helping it heal either. So we will do this for a while and if it starts to hurt again then I will go and get a rod in it. Hopefully if I have to get a rod it will be relatively soon so I can start practicing quickly! Anyway here are a couple of pictures. We got all of our gear last week and it is so nice!! It is all nike stuff and the name tag was on the backpack and it makes me feel all official! :)

So it has been three weeks since I was sentenced to crutches and a bone stimulator (aka boot). To put an end to any rumors floating that I might be done with that sentence, they aren't true. Apparently the Dr. doesn't believe in probation or release for good behavior. :) Its probably a good thing but it is a pain. I will go back in 3 more weeks and see how it is doing. Until then I still have to stay completely off of it and continue doing upper body and core workouts. It has been a lot of fun crutching around campus in the rain and I am so excited for when it snows and I get to crutch in that. Maybe it will wait a few more weeks before it hits.

I had two tests this week and I passed them both. I got a 90 on my dynamic fitness test and a 93 on my creative arts test. Tonight I went to the football game and finally USU was able to pull off a win. They beat Wyoming 63-19. It was rather chilly at the game but it was a lot of fun. That pretty much sums up my week. Hope you had a great week too.

Well I had a good weekend. Conference was great. Saturday I watched it in the basement of our apartment with 4 other people. That night our stake did a rebroadcast of the Relief Society Broadcast since it had been during the Homecoming Game. Before the broadcast they had a light dinner, so I went over to that. It was really good also especially President Uchtdorf's talk. Sunday I made raisin bread in my bread maker and shared it with the people who came to the basement for the morning session. For the afternoon session I went to my cousin Skye's apartment and watched it with her. After a couple of her friends from her mission stopped by so I met them, then Skye and I drove up the canyon to Tony Grove. It was so pretty! All of the leaves were changing colors and it was cool. After that we came back to my apartment and made dinner. It was a great day!

Well you can't see really well in this picture, but you can kind of see where the crutches rub on my arm and where it is raw. it is about half way up my bicep...there is a matching spot on my ribs...it isn't as bad and I won't be posting a picture.

The Dr. is claiming the reason I can't swim any more is because I told them that it hurt my leg. I have no recollection of that! I did tell my coach that my leg hurt one day but it was because I slipped in the shower and the natural reaction is to put that leg down. so it was sore for a day after that but the doctor says that it was sore from swimming. Anyway he is letting me run in the pool. They have aquajoggers that you strap around your waist and it is kind of like a weight lifting belt made from foam and it holds you up. Then you run. I'm not sure how that differs from kicking, because it feels about the same to me, but if doc is happy whatever! :)

My arms are finally getting used to hauling me around. I made it from Old main to the Fine arts building today without stopping! It took about 13 minutes and is probably a half a mile if not farther! I was pretty proud of that feat...I also carried my laundry up to my room all by myself last night (up 2 flights of stairs). My roommates just roll their eyes when I do stuff like that and am proud of it, but it makes me feel like I'm not totally useless! Pretty soon I will be able to say that I took a step by myself. :)

Have a great week!

Well I got to swim for a few days before that privilege was revoked. The Dr. is claiming that he never gave me permission to swim so I am done with that for a while. He did say that I could kick board as long as I only kicked with my good leg. Luckily I am still allowed to lift weights and work my upper body and core. I had my first test this week. It was in Calculus, and my teacher walked around the room giving out hints and helps. It was pretty nice! Yesterday I went to the movie 17 Miracles. It was really good. After that I trekked over to the football game. It only took like 30 minutes to walk the mile there, and then 10 minutes to get in the gate. On the way home a guy in a golf cart gave me a ride home so that was really nice. Well that was pretty much my week plus a lot of homework. :) Have a great week!

I went to my third workout today...okay walking around on crutches is a workout therefore almost everything I do is a workout. :) My workout schedule is swimming MWF and core/upper body TR. I also lift weights on MWF. I have come to realize how out of shape I am and how horrible of a swimmer I am, my coach assures me that is the best way to be so that you can get a good workout from it. Believe me I am getting a good workout from it! I am getting used to the crutches so it isn't too bad. I guess I should do some homework instead of putting it off any longer.
