Wilson's Honey Farm

Howdy -

A good friend was just telling us that he had found a large bee hive on his property. He even got a bee suit to be able to work around the hive safely. Well I must have had that conversation in the back of my mind when I saw this image and just had to color it! This is Wilson's Honey Farm

Love the tiny little bees! I colored with Copics (colors below) and then added some sparkles to the honey. The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye (Miss Caroline) collection. Sewing the layers down with both zig zag and straight stitches. For a sentiment High Hopes Stamps "Have a Honey of a day!" Such a sweet card for a friend! Punched the sentiment out with a EK Success punch, then used a Copic for a faux mat around the punch.

Just Because!

Bzzzzzzz!
What's the buzz you say? Well it's all about this adorable card from High Hopes Stamps called "Wilson's Honey Farm". These Bees are buzzin' by to let you know they are thinking about you.
To start, I stamped and coloured my image using my Copic Markers. Then I die cut it using a Gina Marie die set called "Peekaboo Oval". To create the frame, I die cut the polka dot paper and then using an Xacto knife, cut around the outer edge of the die. This created a nice frame for the coloured image to sit inside of. I found these adorable papers in the Honey Bees "The Bees Knees" 6x6 collection. I also added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to all the edges of my papers to add some dimension. I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Just Bee Cause", which goes perfectly with this image! Some ribbon, bee stickers and Stickles to the bee's wings finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Hive: Y32, Y35, Y38
Flowers: RV17, RV19, YG23, G28
Honey Pot: BG75, BG78, Y21, RV17, RV19
Grass: YG17, YG21, YG23, YG25

Wilson's Honey Farm

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week for High Hopes Stamps I took a dive into some yummy honey. This is Wilson's Honey Farm... love the delicious end of summer goodness of this one!

Such a wonderful image for many subjects, but when paired up with the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Have a Honey of a day!" Just a friendly card to bring a smile or could be a "sweet" birthday card!

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added some pencils for shadows and layers. Then I added some Nuvo Clear for that gorgeous glass honey jar, and then Nuvo sparkle for the bee's wings.

Dark brown card stock for the base, then deep yellow core-dinations card stock for a mat and a old piece of pattern paper from Senic Route all zig zag stitched down. Then the same brown card stock for a mat on the image sewed together. A simple gingham brown and white ribbon around and tied for a bow embellishment. That sentiment is punched out with an EK Success ticket punch and then matted yellow card stock punch mat.
