Melanie had her pre-school graduation this past week! She is so excited to start Kindergarten. She had so much fun in pre-school and can't wait until she can go to school everyday next year.

Kaitlyn's Piano Recital!

Kaitlyn has loved taking piano this year. She did such a great job at her recital. She had all her songs memorized! We are so glad she enjoys playing the piano so much and hope the love of it continues to grow as she gets older.

TaVaci Concert!

Melanie had her TaVaci Concert and did such a great job. She has had so much fun doing this singing group with her friends Hannah and Addy. She absotlutly loved learning all the songs and actions!

The Goose Girl

As part of Health Days every year the youth theater put on a play. Everyone who wants to be in it can and it so free to be a part of. All you have to do is put in some volunteer hours. My girls decided they wanted to be a part of it. They practiced for two weeks and then performed the Friday and Sat night of Health Days. They had so much fun doing it! What a positive good thing my community does! My girls were both Geese in the play. They were on stage three times and did a wonderful job all three times!

Kaitlyn had so much fun doing this with her friend Sydney from school!

Health Days!

The kids love Health Days! Sadly it was kind of cold this year. Grandma was up visiting so she joined us for the celebration.

Grandma, Kaitlyn and Matt watching the parade. They got way too much candy!

Melanie decided to be in the parade this year with the Community youth theater. She and Kaitlyn was part of this years play "The Goose Girl" Kaitlyn did not want to be in the parade!
After the parade we headed over to Forester Acres for the annual ping pong ball drop, games, booths and rides!
Kaitlyn, Makayla ad Melanie chose to ride the clown ride!

Matthew and Luke chose the giant slide!
It was fun to have our cousins join us for the park fun!

We were going to go and see the fireworks that night, but had completely forgotten about it until we heard all the big bangs outside. By then Kaitlyn was the only one awake. Brad took her out on our back deck to watch them from a distance! Fireworks are one of Kaitlyn's favorite parts of summer. I promised her we would see plenty more this summer!

TaVaci!

Melanie decided that she was done with dance this year. So I asked her what she wanted to do and she said TaVaci with Hannah. I had heard about TaVaci a little bit but didn't really know what it was all about. It is a local singing group in Smithfield. It has been such a great positive self esteem building activity for her to be involved in. She absolutely loves it!

They performed at an old folks home to prepare for their upcoming concert! Melanie has a smile on her face the whole time we were there!

Thanksgiving Point, Baby Animal Birthday Party!

While we were down visiting my family we decided to go over to Thanksgiving point and enjoy all the baby animals. They were having there birthday party. It was so much fun, the kids had a ball and believe it or not it didn't break the wallet.

They all weighed as much as a goat!

We saw some baby cows, this is as close as Kaitlyn would get.

Matt and Mel were much more brave!

On our way out we saw this darling baby sheep on a leash. Melanie and Matt loved it the most I think!

Slime!

Kaitlyn came home the other day from school with a recipe to make slime. She insisted on making it the next day since she didn't have school. So we called the cousins up and let them join in on the fun. They all had a ball making it and playing with it!

Spring!

Every year the girls get new spring dresses and Matt get a new spring shirt. I have always matched my girls dresses. This year I went with the same dress just different colors. The first thing Melanie says is that she wants a pink one like Kaitlyn's. I guess I will never get it right. It sure is fun to break out all the spring clothes and sandals though. Maybe we can get spring to finally stay here in Cache Valley!

Easter!

We had a fun Easter spent with family, both the Hiatts and the Blakes. We stopped in SLC at the Hiatts for a big gathering with the extended Gladys Hiatt Family. It was fun to see Brads cousins that we never get to see. Sharilyn had over 400 eggs hidden in her backyard for all the kids. My three kids had a ball hiding them all. And even more fun finding them!

Grandma also told her chocolate bunny story of when she got a huge bunny and ate it all by herself and got the biggest tummy ache. She shared this one with everyone!
The kids love this story year after year!
It was a fun Easter spent with family and enjoying all the conference talks. What a great time of year to reflect on Christ and all he has done for us!
