Kaitlyn's in Kindergarten!

Last Thursday Kaitlyn had her first day of Kindergarten. She was excited, scared, happy, nervous, and very anxious. I dodn't think she really knew what to expect. When she got home she said, "Mom, I thought it was going to be terrible but it wasn't." I think she had a really good time. She was really excited about meeting new friends and being able to go to school everyday. I drove away and got all teared up after dropping her off. I don't really know why because to be honest I was really excited for having a little bit of a break each day. She's growing up way too fast and is such a great example to her brother and sister. Melanie was really sad that Kaitlyn got to start school and she couldn't go too. Melanie and Kaitlyn have played together now for 3 years everyday together, they are best friends and Melanie will really miss having her around in the mornings. Good thing pre-school starts next week.

The Best Party Ever!

According to Kaitlyn, Aunt Lena and Ed know how to throw a party. Last year when we went to this party Kaitlyn could not stop talking about the fun stuff. Well this year it was just as good. Great food and fun like always. We stopped by on our way home last weekend. Ed has a huge bounce house that the kids absolutely love. He also raises chickens that are always a huge hit.

Notice Melanie there right at front she loves them.
Notice Kaitlyn is nowhere in sight, she hates them.

Will, Melanie and Ellie with the baby chicken, yes this is a baby about 4 months old. Melanie even went into the chicken coup to help Ed feed the rest of them.

Fun Filled Weekend!!

This last weekend my sister Annette came into town from Texas to move her Daughter Jessica up to BYU for college. So of course we all had to get together and have a party. Like always we had a ton of fun. there probably wasn't a single college student that had that many people help them move into their dorm. We are all just so excited to have Jess closer.

Brad and Kristi

We celebrated Annette's 39th birthday while she was here. Now she does not look 39. We had at least two people while they were here ask us if Annette and Jess were sisters. How come I don't have the look young gene?

Jessica and Kristi

Crazy fact: I am closer in age to Jess than I am to her mom. We are all great friends!!!

Matt and Aunt Julie, he really took a liking to Julie who read a lot of books to him

Jessica had a PJ party with the little girls. She and Annette french braided all their hair and then they played gold fish.

The second PJ party of the weekend, the girls loved sleeping by Makayla

The weekend would not be complete without at least one shopping trip. Although we managed to fit in a few. (Down East, Tia Pan, Target) I thought these heals were so cute at Down East, but they were not even close to my size. They did fit my sisters though, but they just felt weird in them and could barely walk in them. I still think they should have bought them.

Can you believe she had this many people moving her in? She is a good sport. This isn't even everyone. Alan and his family came before all of us and grandpa is taking the picture.

Jessica kept us up till 2 am one morning, we laughed a ton and enjoyed some fun dip! (I know this is a horible picture of me, but it was the only one I could find and I had to document the moment!)

A Park in the City!

While visiting Brad's parents, they took us to this awesome park that made you feel like you weren't even in the city. We took a picnic from McDonald's and had a lot of fun.

Swimming Lessons!

The girls took swimming lessons at Sports Academy this year and loved every second of it. Matthew was a good sport and loved staying to swim after the lessons everyday of the second week. We definitely got our moneys worth with how much we stayed and swam afterwords.

I Scream You Scream We All Scream For Ice Cream!

One of my fondest memories as a child is eating ice cream with my dad. while we were down for the weekend grandpa took us out to Cold Stone. It was super yummy, everyone enjoyed every bite.

The kids love it when Grandma rides in our car

24th of July!

We celebrated Pioneer Day at home. We had a fun relaxing day. We went out to the North Logan celebrations and did a fish pond and had our faces painted. That night we went out to the Preston Fireworks with the Johnson's. I am so sad that firework season is coming to an end, I absolutely love fireworks!

Dinner Show Dance!

Here is the video of the dance, it is so funny. I love it how Matt joins in.

The Luau!

The last night of the reunion we had a Luau! It was a ton of fun, with great food. Grandma and Grandpa even dressed up. We ate, had a dinner show, did the hula, and a pinata.

I think Grandpa is a little bit bigger since the last time he wore this shirt

Grandma wore her mu mu and Grandpa found a different Hawaiian shirt that fit a little bit better

Now it was for the Dinner show. Some of the older kids were doing magic tricks for the show, but these kids were too little for the tricks, so Kaitlyn thought it would be fun to teach them her dance from her recital. With a little help from me they got it down pretty good for only practicing it for about 15 min. We even got Sam to do it. I will post a video of it in another post.

Last but not least the pinata. We started youngest to oldest and everyone ended up getting one turn before Matthew broke it open with his second turn. (with a little help from me by accident, I guess I don't know my own strength.
