1. Decluttering
Here comes the chicken-and-egg question.
This is exactly where I was stuck at. Often in the midst of tidying, I thought I'd get rid of the junks first, that are left untouched ever since they had settled in there. And each time I pull the pile of things that once labelled to have sentimental values out, I would stop and walk myself down the memory lane and eventually allow myself to place them back, as if they were meant to be there. Those are the things that my mom would coin them as, junks. Erm for example the red packets that I have collected over the years, articles from old newspaper that I have yet to read, leftovers from each DIY attempts, seashells from beaches I went... and many more, for a person who can't help herself from adding different sorts of collectibles into the collection.
I often lose my sanity when I ran through all these in my mind. Because it is an impossible mission to de-clutter literally! The most I could do is rearrange, or throw
Sigh this post is not going to give myself more excuses to avoid the task, I hope. Keeping things that are once memorable could be heartbreaking but placing them in the dustbin requires more courage than I thought. There are still many things that I prefer not to touch, not to be reminded of. While those fated to be in the bin shall never be mentioned again.
