At one of Joe's homes that he is selling, there was this really old beat up piano left there. So he got it dropped off at our home knowing I would love it. It was in bad condition. I called my sisters piano tuner and he asked for a serial #...didn't have one. I told him it was a Weber London and he point blank told be to call goodwill and get rid of it, its not worth a thing and probably so worpped that it could never be tuned properly. Then I told him about this seal on the top and he then told me the last time they made one of those models was in 1933!!! He still proceeded to tell me that it's still not worth anything, but it is old. So I didn't feel so bad painting it. I think it looks great now and what a great conversation piece.

My Birthday
For my birthday (Aug. 5th), Joe took me to Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Cesars Palace. I have always wanted to go. It was worth it! Such great food and "bold flavors". After we went to pick the kids up at my parents and they had made a birthday cake for me. I love my Mommy! Thanks Joe for the great birthday you gave me. I love you too!

His bite IS worse than his bark
I like my dog like I like my chicken, cage free! Or so I thought. This sweet lady, about 1/2 mile from my house, watches and grooms dogs through her home. Cody my dog, seems to love the exercise and interacting with other dogs. About two weeks ago, my friends poodle got severely injured at that same place when another dog she was watching got a hold of the poodle and treated it like a chew toy. You can see her ordeal on her blog (Harvey Family link). I thought that story was a freak thing, but I just went to go pick up Cody, my dog, from the same place after our cruise and this cute little scotty dog bite me on my leg!
Seems to be healing well, but it is cage kenneling from now on. I still like my chicken cage free though.

Just a LITTLE cruise
So we got this fantastic deal and were able to go on a Disney cruise! We just got back on Sunday night and I still can't believe we actually went. It was a 3-night Bahama cruise that stopped in Nassau and Disney's own private island, Castaway Cay. Here are a few picture of the many I took:
This is my Mom holding Evelyn in the shuttle, when we saw the cruise ship.
Goofy was there to great us. Porter loved that, he just isn't showing it.
That next morning the kids were off to there age groups for some more Disney fun. Yes, we even had babysitting.
Joni had some warming up to do with the characters, but if they went slow like Mickey, it was all good!
Nassau was fun, but we quickly got back on the ship for a good massage. I guess I would describe Nassau like a Bahaman Tiawana. Instead of "chicle(sp?)" it was "let me braid your hair".
Pirate night! Watch out!
So this is the private island, Castaway Cay. Right after you get off, the real Flying Dutchman from the movie was there in the water. Don't you love Porter's non-Disney apparel?
My awesome parents came with us and made the trip that much more fun us. Grammy and Papa are up for any adventure.
Porter snorkeled.
The girls stayed in shore.
They had this amazing jungle gym right in the middle of the water for the kids. This is a picture of Porter's new wiggle dance. He was so pumped to go on this set up.
Joe took me to see the sun set on our last night of the cruise. Awwww, I know!
The only one having fun leaving was Joni.
So sad it's over, but looking at it on the bright side...if I stayed any longer, I would have gained that much more weight.

July so Far...
No pictures for the 4th of July, but here are a few pictures from the rest of the month, so far. Joe's birthday is on the 17th and he turned 30! He said instead of a party he just wanted to go to the Harbor's cabin by Duck Creek and go 4-wheeling with the kids. So we stopped at Milt's on the way up and ice cream sundae's with candles to end the night off right, or so we thought. We were pranked all night long with gun shots going off right next to the cabin...dry ice bombs!
Our stake celebrated Pioneer Day at Warm Springs. It was beyond hot and humid that day, but surprisingly entertaining and fun. Never been, but loved it. These are just a few of the many photos I took.
Excuse the lack of wordage, but I'm tired.

So. Carlsbad State Beach
My favorite time of year is when the whole Call family goes on the annual South Carlsbad Beach trip. A week of camping and living in dirt might not sound appealing to some, but it is the best vacation I could imagine.
The key to a happy camp is the tent. Joe has become a pro at putting these darn things together.
Bikes are a must have at the beach...there is no TV! Can you see the string that Joe is holding? Yes, Evelyn is that lazy! She just straightens her legs out, steers and lets Joe pull her everywhere.
Evelyn just adors her daddy.
Garett look a little too comfortable...?
That Sunday, we took many a family photos, (thanks Maryanne!) and tried to attend church, but of all weeks, it was stake conference. So we took a stroll around the San Diego temple.
My sister's and I seem to have our kids in sets. This is Joni's best cousin friends, Lily and Luke.
Happy 13th Weston!
Too dang cute, enough said!
Legoland was a blast!!! Highly recomended for all.
This year we took my Dad's truck. It fit everything we wanted to bring and better yet, it brought back so many memories because this is the truck we used to take every year since 1990. Just the smell of it makes me happy.
It's always a sad day, when we leave. I think I realisticly could stay for another two weeks.
Evelyn took advantage of the back seat. Mommy is not looking.

Cali Trip
The kids got to meet their great grandma (Joe's Mom's Mom)for the first time. Long over due, I know, but she came to California for a short stay at her sons home, so we finally got to meet up.
Baywatch Baby!
Daughter like mother.
Joe working the grill on the beach. Thanks to Taylor, rub an onion or apple on the grill to clean it before cooking. Brilliant!
Joni's first swim at The Grand California. Loved it.
Come on kids, let's look happy for the picture...I know, I just had to take it.
Is there anyone living in here?
Joe is sick just about now. Why is it that kids love to go as fast as possible on these things?
Bennet was victorious and defeated Darth Vador.
My poor Evelyn got jacked. She is usually the cluts that falls every 5 minutes. This time she accidently flipped over some railing in Frontier Land and landed nose first on a huge rock.
Porter was so proud of his Goofy hat, he even slept in it.
Can you see that thumb? It's so very cute right now, just hope I'm not cursing it when she's 10.
Yes, Joe found some time to work on his laptop during our wait on the Tower of Terror. You should have seen the looks he was getting. How else do you think we afforded our three day hoppers to Disneyland?
I got my eye on you Pooh!
My kids are lovers.
