Hi everyone, it seems like I have vanished for a long while. It's basically due to too many things to focus and it's been very busy with my new job ever since I joined last month, all the work is getting piled up and the implementation project is getting more critical as we approach to the end of blueprints phase by next month. Sigh.. :( But overall, there are many things to learn, especially when comes to a module which I am not familiar with.
Alright, enough all of those work stuff. I shall wish everyone here, if there is still any following this blog a Happy Chinese New Year, may the year of tiger brings you all unlimited happiness, joy, health and wealth!
Having to gone through 25 years of Chinese New Years, with each years on going with the same stuff... visiting relatives/relatives visited us, getting ang pows (red packets). Frankly, I don't really feel anything special about it. Perhaps I don't quite mixed up with my relatives too much and considering that I am kind of not close to them, maybe this is the reason I felt so. But anyhow, the best part is still getting as much ang pows as possible, money says it all ^^
This year's CNY is kind of special having it to contradict with the day of Valentine's Day, I can't recall when was the last time CNY fall on 14th of February, even so I bet that time I don't need to celebrate V' Day at all. So, how will you choose between CNY and V' Day then? To me, I try to make it 50-50%, day time for CNY, night time for V'day but anyhow, celebrating V'day on the exact day is a pain in the ass. So either to make it earlier or after. After all, V'day is just one of the day being declared, you can declare it everyday if you like to. :)
Last but not least, though I am expecting most of the stores will be close for CNY, at this point of time... I can't believe even a typical GSC website is down for celebrating CNY as well? Maybe.. Hmm...

Movie Review - Avatar
James Cameron's Avatar, an effort spent across many designers over the past 4 years has finally produced a visually stunning effects film that widely opens up our eyes and imaginations beyond our mother earth. There is only one word, "Design" that drives the entire film to such level of success. At times of writing, it has become one of the best movie of the year, and it's current rank in IMDB was top #25 with 8.9/10 score and still pushing up I guess.
The entire film are blended well in 3D + 2D environments. Every single pieces in the world of Pandora are so real that we can ever imagine, the natives clan of Na'vi, though look weird in their bluish skin at first glance but they are well designed considering they are aliens in Pandora. Then there goes the marines which equipped with advanced mechanical warfare are quite cool too, and the best of all, the creatures that lives in Pandora are so beautiful and fierce, you can hardly spot a flaw in every corner thanks to the great designers (Wayne Barlowe and Neville Page, plus concept artists James Clyne, Ryan Church, and Daphne Yap). Basically, everything looks just REAL!
What makes this film so great is partly because the design of the luminescent environments, everything are featured with glow in the dark effects during the night, and the other contribution to the success of this film is the solid plot, writer James Cameron is such an impressive writer to come up with such a storyline, which evolves not only the battle between the natives and humans, but also the love chemicals between Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana).
The story gives in depth details about the life of the natives, how they lived and survived in forest full of predators. And how Jake trained to become one of them and tame his very own Banshee for sky ride. A 162 minutes of movies will not bore you up at all, in fact the director utilizes the length and provided a sense of enjoyment while watching this film. Overall, I am highly recommending this movie to everyone out there, this is a must watch movie and you shouldn't have miss out. I bet this movie will potentially score movie of the year title.
P/S: I love the part when Jake became the Turok Macto. Just watch it to know what is it. :)

My new puppy - Spikey

I know it's quite late for me to write this post but I just don't want to miss it. I got him into our family after my parent adopted him from SPCA. This is my new puppy, his name is 'Spikey'. Pictures taken are about 2 weeks old and he's growing up pretty fast.

He's cute, smart and nevertheless despite the name calls, he's quite naughty and the most active dog I have ever seen, even more active than my previous dogs. The naughtiness couldn't be define more, he likes to bites! So please be careful if any of you happen to visit me in the future. :D

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Review
Just freshly completed this game last week during my off day - took annual leave to clear it off before my last day of work.
What can I say more about this game, I have never played such first person shooter game as entertaining as this, all the stunts and actions are so realistic that you can't imagine you are playing a game, it's more like you are playing a role in an action film.
One of the very good example that impressed me much when I first played the game was the riding of snowmobile to escape from a troops of soldiers. It's stunning! See the video gameplay below to find out more:
Although the game is quite short in stories, there are only 3 Acts in total and took approximately 4-5 hours for me, those hardcore and fast gamer shall finish it in 3 hours perhaps.
Other than that, the overall of the game is merely perfect, you get to play different characters but some of the character will die due to some betrayals as the stories goes on. Just sit tight and enjoy this action-packed game of the year.
