Well, it's been 12 years since Justin and I had decided to spend eternity together and it has been wonderful. Trying and full of challenges, but wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful loving husband and father and I'm glad we have forever to be together and continue to build and strengthen each other.
One of the down falls to having an anniversary around Valentine's Day, is that everything is always busy then a typical date night. So we decided this year to just keep it simple and then do something bigger for our birthdays.
Our Anniversary was Sunday, but we celebrated Friday night with dinner at Magelby's Fresh and then out for some window shopping. We tried out some new baby sitters, which were a couple of Young Women from our ward. The benefits of working with the Young Women is that I get to know them quite well and figure out whom I could trust with me kids. Let's just say, the boys did great with them and had lots of fun. Justin and I enjoyed our time together as well. We finished off the evening with a movie after the boys went to bed.
On our actual anniversary it was a whole other story. I got up early to shower since we have early church and with in minutes Justin was coming in and telling me that Zayne was awake and crying and Quentin was spilling his guts in the sink. Let's just say the shower was ended quickly. When I got out of the shower, Justin said, "plug your nose and watch your step." Those are never good words to hear. Quentin did his best getting to the bathroom. But not before throwing up on his bed, down the hall and on the mat in the bathroom. What a great way to start the day. It was such a beautiful day and we did go on a little walk to enjoy the weather and catch some fresh air for a bit. But for the most part, our day was spent relaxing with movies at home. I ended up sick that evening, so it was early bed time for all of us.
On Valentine's Day, everything seemed back to normal, or so I thought. By dinner time Cyrus was throwing up and at 11 that night Zayne was adding to the mess. We didn't do much to celebrate the holiday since none of us felt like doing much. I had intended on making sugar cookie and such with the boys, but it didn't happen. Oh well, what do you do? Lets just hope we are done with this flu stuff and able to have a good fun weekend.
