House warming

Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after the night at a business function.

He forces himself to open his eyes and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose!

Jack sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. Jack looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror and notices a note on the table: "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping - Love you!!"

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast and the morning newspaper.

His son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, "Son...what happened last night?"

"Well, you came home after 3 am , drunk and out of your mind. You broke the coffee table, puked in the hallway and got that black eye when you ran into the door."

"So, why is everything in such perfect order, so clean, I have a rose and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?"

His son replies, "Oh, THAT!...Mom dragged you to the bedroom and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed.....

"Leave me alone, b*tch, I'm married!!!".

Ye rians boards the plane heaving a sign of sadness as the pretty flight attendant greets her politely in their usual warm attitude. Although physically she was going to be miles away from spore in just a few more hrs, her heart was deeply anchored in her motherland..not because she's patriotic, but for the sole reason that she's leavin her beloved one back in yio chu kang for 10 days. "what will he rook rike when i return?? will he be with another ger..or even worse, a ger who rooks korean??" thoughts and images flooded her mind as she can barely find the motivation and strength to drag her feet to her seat. plunging into the cushioned seat as if she no longer had any life in her, she let out a sarcastic giggle..wad dramatic irony that the flight number is 8128..why are they making a fool of a poor little lovesick gurl like me..as the plane gains speed and lifts off the soil of spore, there is no slightest hint of happiness as tears rolled down ye rian's cheeks as she mumbled to herself "gd bye, my lurve..."

There were 3 army generals from America, Britain and Singapore on board a ship. They were chatting and having drinks.

The American general decided that he wanted to show off to his counterparts how courageous his soldiers were, so he asked one soldier to dive into the shark infested sea and swim 3 full rounds around the ship.

'Anything for Uncle Sam!' shouted the soldier, he then jumped into the sea and promptly swam 3 rounds around the ship.

Once he got up, the American general praised his soldier, and grinned at his companions.

'That, my friends, is courage.' he said

Not willing to be outdone, the British general called one of his soldiers to swim 5 full rounds around the ship. The soldier bellowed 'Anything for the Queen!' and promptly swam 5 full rounds around the ship.

When the soldier climbed on deck, the British general smiled at his companions.

'That, my friends, is courage.' he said

By this time, the Singaporean general was getting all worked up wanting to show off how brave and courageous his own soldiers were, so he called one of his men to swim 7 rounds around the ship.

The soldier stared at the general, then said, "KNN! you want lim peh to go swim in that kanasai sea ah? I still paying through my nose for my 4-room HDB flat and you liddat want me risk life so that you can haolian to these *%#!!@*s? You want show off go and swim yourself la! Bo liao!"

Saying thus, the soldier returned to his room.

The Singaporean general flashed a wide smile at his friends.

Recently, it has come my concern that driving safely is very important. It will be very dangerous if you sleep while driving, just like drink driving. haha cos you can't control the car well. SINGAPORE : Students from the National University of Singapore Students’ Union have launched their first—ever Eco—fashion show.

The fashion show was part of the opening ceremony of the three—day NUS Students’ Green Carnival 2007, which aims to highlight the implications of global warming and fossil fuel depletion, as well as environmental challenges for future generations.

5,000 stickers to remind users to switch off electrical appliances after use were also given out.

About 3,000 stickers will be distributed to schools within the South—West CDC district to promote an energy saving lifestyle, while the remaining stickers will be pasted at NUS.

NUS will also take a pro—active approach to reduce the use of electricity, by increasing the temperature of air—conditioners on campus to 25 degrees celsius. — CNA/ms

earlier on, ezekiel was talking about lesbians and gays not being fully lesbians and gays. the idea is this, if lesbians are real lesbians, they should be man-like and like a girl or a girl-like person, ie gay. but we have nv seen a lesbian and a gay together before... similarly, if gays are real gays, they should be feminine and like a man or a man-like person, ie butch. but again, we havent seen any butch and gays together...

everybody's been busy... busy with work and ...(you know...) seldom got pple post entries.... seldom got pple bother to chat on the tagboard...

i think the best way to handle your busy schedule is to find time to relax. need not be a long time. just a short 15 minutes per 2 hrs would do... can surf lame websites, can talk crap on the tagboard... anything that keep your mind off your work...

well, actually having said all these, i have to admit it is rather difficult to take some time off... cuz you would ask yourself whether the 15 minutes that u have used to rest is wasted... could you have done better with the extra few chunks of 15 minutes? well, maybe, but i think pushing too hard is not good for your body as well as your brain...

ok, have just spent 5 minutes on this blog entry... this is a form of relaxation for me :)

How to claim ur insurance $$$

Below i what i have "cut and pasted" from the email circulated within RH. It is stated do not circulate outside RH... don't know y.

Dear all

Lately, I attended to a few casualties in the hall. I realize that some students are not aware that they have accident insurance policies (automatically bought for them when they matriculated). I would like to explain the policy further. Please do not circulate this email outside of Raffles Hall.

The insurance underwriter is AIG. It covers accidents and NOT acute sudden illnesses like acute appendicitis, acute asthmatic attack (for medical emergencies, there is a different insurance cover).

In case of accidents resulting in death and permanent disability, the cover is $15,000. It is wise to inform your family members/friends of the existence of such a policy. If you die during an accident (touch wood), your loved ones can still get some money ($15,000).

In case of other accidents, the cover is $4000 for medical expenses incurred per student per year. By per year, I am referring to one year from the time of injury up to its first anniversary or upon graduation.

The cover is worldwide. E.g. if you injured yourself while on vacation in Hong Kong, you can still submit a claim.

The $4000 cover is cumulative, meaning that if the student claims $2000 for one injury, he/she can still claim the remaining $2000 (up to $4000) for other injuries in that year.

The insurance claim forms must be submitted within 21 days from the time of injury. If you submit later, there is no guarantee that your claims will be honored.

I have some claim forms (Personal Accident Forms) with me. You can obtain the forms from me either in the hall or in the clinic. You need only to fill in one form, with full description of the injury.

For this accident policy, the insurance covers everything, including hospitalization - there is no co-payment on your part (unless you exceed the $4000 limit).

If you are warded, you can opt for subsidized or private rates, with the implication that if you opt for subsidized rates, you will have more money left for future claims in the year.

All bills must be fully paid before sending in the claim. E.g. if you need to have x-ray at my clinic for an ankle sprain, you must pay for the x-ray first and then attach the bills to the claim form. Likewise, you may also need to attach the hospital bills, outpatient bills, etc. together with your claim form.

When you are admitted, foreign students can arrange for a letter of guarantee to be sent to the hospital. For local students, they can use medisave (parent's medisave) to settle the bill first.

The guarantee form can be faxed over to the ward or you can send your friend to our clinic to get the letter of guarantee.

When you go to the hospital, please bring along your Singapore IC or FIN card. There is no need to show your matriculation card.

If you are admitted, kindly inform your Hall RF/Hall Master.

I hope the above clarify some of the issues relating to medical claims relating to accidents.

collect petrol money?

haha, petrol indeed is finishing fast...3/4 tank gone in just a wk...hope my father doesn't realise that i am using up my petrol 2.67839403 times as quickly as before...60 bucks for a 3/4 tank top up with a 2000 grade @ Mobil, which will last me for 400km...i love to clock mileage, but i dun wan to clock it at nite...cuz i tend to speed at nite...and i only have 12 points left...eh what am i talking abt?....just pure rambling during my idle time...

conclusion? no conclusion...actually petrol quite cheap...60/400 = 15cents per km...cheaper than taxi sia...lol...now then i realise man, i have always thot travelling on a taxi was cheaper...but i think i neglected the road tax, insurance...all those external charges... but then still quite cheap, considering i am owning a car, which i can drive around even when taxis are hiding just before midnight...

ok, stop toking crap liao, need to go prepare for the lab on Wed...
