Fun New Park!

The powers that be finally put in a fabulous park here on post! Yay! We got a semi-warm day a few weeks ago and took the kiddos and Jilli's bff to break it in! It was awesome! No more sand or bark! Just a nice spongy rubber surface that makes falls fun! They didn't want to leave! The only bad thing is there are no trees, so this summer there are gonna be some burnt heinies! Oh well! We love it!

Nerf Attacks

In their attempts to entertain themselves indoors... the children have found that Nerf guns are incredible fun and the sticky bullets make great camouflage. They are getting to be really good shots! Even the littlest one!

First Temple Trip!

We took Jessica to the temple in Columbia with our ward YW/YM group on January 9th. It was her first time going and she was beyond excited! We were so happy that we got to come along and share this special day with her! It was amazing! If only the sun had peeped out for the pictures! (We were being rained on as we posed here!) No worries!

Beating the January Blahs!

Chris wanted some chocolate chip cookies... so I suggested he make some! It was his first attempt and they were ten times better than mine! He is now the new Official Chocolate Chip Cookie Maker! Yay! And Jilli is his Assistant cookie maker!!
Nothing like warm chocolate chip cookies on a cold January night! Yummy!

Happy Birthday Jessi!

Jessica turned 12 today! She has grown into such a lovely and sweet girl and we're so lucky to have her for our daughter! At birth, she was 2 weeks past her due date and when she finally arrived on January 7th, I was so ready! She was an amazing baby and ate and slept like a pro. She was just what I needed for a first child! I was (and still am!) spoiled to have such a sweet and good child. She helps me most days without complaint and is such a good big sister. We love you Jessi!
We had such a fun evening. It started with her requested dinner of Soy Sauce Chicken, Rice and Artichokes! Then we had the Carroll family over for Chocolate cake with Chocolate Dream Whip Icing! YUMMY!! It was delicious! Then she opened her gifts. We bought her a Value necklace to remind her of the Young Women values as she starts the Young Women's program at church. She also got a cute bracelet from Grandma F and a gorgeous Temple necklace from Aunt Beck. She loved the American Girls Husky puppy that her dad bought her and the Littlest Pet Shops from the Carrolls! (Thanks!!) Then they had to play Wii Playground and battle it out in Dodge Ball! Her dad also read the next two chapters of "Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites" (The book their dad is reading them each night - when he can!) I really think that she had a great birthday and she deserved it - She's a great kid!

New Years Rockin' Eve!

We had the Kupsh family over for New Year's Eve and we played their new Wii game - Just Dance! It was a blast!!! I got a video of Chris and Jess doing it and it is a winner! So funny! It's much more fun to watch than it is to play... although it is so fun to play! We also ate delicious junk food and played Wii Fit Plus, tried to play a new Monopoly game (with no success! Much too tricky!) and played Uno Attack! It was a great way to ring in 2010!! Happy New Year!!
