today went to sci centre to see the BODY'S WORK exhibition...

lalalala for the first time, wwt arrived early / on time.
and i was late....
why the 73 keep breaking down one arh???
then she was planing to leave if i was late for another 15 min....
took 335 to sci centre from jurong east, when actually can walk there.
i like the t-rex....

then enter the exhibition.....
all of the "dead" ppl / exhibits there are real.
freaky.

then cannot take photo... but secretly took them, half way thru exhibit, then knn caught by this volunteer dude...... [ he ain't wearing a tag and in normal clothes tmd! how to know he working there..... then all photo gone.....pissed....]

many cool stuff..... but sg dun allow all the exhibits, cuz some too "scary" and "disgusting"

later notice they got sell disk, $59.90 with explanation for all the exhibition....

was a hectic day....

so started off going to sch.... then in the morning got the 5.1 km annual road run for guys and 3.1 km for girls.....

lalala the beta House Community [HC] sitting place is like under the sun, so used bag, cover head... then watch the staff run and the girls run.... then later we ran..... freaking hot weather.... [ apparently my skin is exfoliating now on my arms.... PAIN!!!! ] okay so me, ze huan, bryan decided to walk / jog and run during downhill... came in the 6th last..... but i hardly broke sweat.... got chased by dogs.... thats when i run....

okay after run, go wash up, then took some time to compress my clothes in my bag....
then accompany bryan go makan..... later almost got caught in a crossfire between ppl throwing cream.... then went to hall, watch ppl play guitar hero..... felt sleepy, then join the girls, zhi min they all, and "slept"..... later woke up to eat some cotton candy that was compressed till its rock hard... then the girls were playing truth or dare....

Anorexia may be linked to a disturbed serotonin system,[10] particularly to high levels at areas in the brain with the 5HT1A receptor - a system particularly linked to anxiety, mood and impulse control. Starvation has been hypothesised to be a response to these effects, as it is known to lower tryptophan and steroid hormone metabolism, which might reduce serotonin levels at these critical sites and ward off anxiety. Other studies of the 5HT2A serotonin receptor (linked to regulation of feeding, mood, and anxiety), suggest that serotonin activity is decreased at these sites. There is evidence that both personality characteristics and disturbances to the serotonin system are still apparent after patients have recovered from anorexia.[11]

Changes in brain structure and function are early signs often to be associated with starvation, and is partially reversed when normal weight is regained.[12] Anorexia is also linked to reduced blood flow in the temporal lobes. It is possible that it is a risk trait rather than an effect of starvation.[13]

Anorexia may be linked to an autoimmune response to melanocortin peptides which influence appetite and stress responses.[14]

Zinc deficiency may play a role in Anorexia. It is not thought responsible for causation of the initial illness but there is evidence that it may be an accelerating factor that deepens the pathology of the anorexia. A 1994 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial showed that zinc (14 mg per day) doubled the rate of body mass increase compared to patients receiving the placebo.[15]

Anorexic eating behavior is thought to originate from an obsessive fear of gaining weight due to a distorted self image[16] and is maintained by various cognitive biases that alter how the affected individual evaluates and thinks about their body, food and eating. This is not a perceptual problem, but one of how the perceptual information is evaluated by the affected person.[17] People with anorexia nervosa seem to more accurately judge their own body image while lacking a self-esteem boosting bias.[18]

People with anorexia nervosa also have other psychological difficulties and mental illness. Clinical depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance abuse and one or more personality disorders may be the most likely conditions to be comorbid with anorexia. High-levels of anxiety and depression are likely to be present regardless of whether they fulfill diagnostic criteria for a specific syndrome.[19]

Research into the neuropsychology of anorexia has indicated that many of the findings are inconsistent across studies and that it is hard to differentiate the effects of starvation on the brain from any long-standing characteristics. One finding is that those with anorexia have poor cognitive flexibility.[20]

Other studies have suggested that there are some attention and memory biases that may maintain anorexia.[21]

Sociocultural studies have highlighted the role of cultural factors, such as the promotion of thinness as the ideal female form in Western industrialised nations, particularly through the media.[citation needed] A recent epidemiological study of 989,871 Swedish residents indicated that gender, ethnicity and socio-economic status were large influences on the chance of developing anorexia, with those with non-European parents among the least likely to be diagnosed with the condition, and those in wealthy, white families being most at risk.[22] People in professions where there is a particular social pressure to be thin (such as models and dancers) were much more likely to develop anorexia during the course of their career,[23] and further research has suggested that those with anorexia have much higher contact with cultural sources that promote weight-loss.[24]

There is a high rate of reported child sexual abuse experiences in clinical groups of who have been diagnosed with anorexia. Although prior sexual abuse is not thought to be a specific risk factor for anorexia, those who have experienced such abuse are more likely to have more serious and chronic symptoms.[25]

Following an initial suggestion of relationship between anorexia nervosa and autism,[26][27][28] a longitudinal study of 102 participants into teenage onset anorexia nervosa conducted in Sweden found that 23% of people with a long-standing eating disorder are on the autism spectrum.[29][30][31][32][33][34][35] Those on autism spectrum tend to have a worse outcome,[36] but may benefit from the combined use of behavioural and pharmacological therapies tailored to ameliorate autism rather than anorexia nervosa per se.[37][38] Other studies may suggest that autistic traits are common in people with anorexia nervosa.[39][40][41][42][43] However, in one report it was concluded that these findings need to be replicated using larger samples with more sensitive measures.[44]

Relationship to Autism
It is also proposed that conditions on the autism spectrum make up the cognitive endophenotype underlying anorexia nervosa and appealed for increased interdisciplinary collaboration (see figure to right).[4] A pilot study into the effectiveness Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, which based its treatment protocol on the hypothesised relationship between anorexia nervosa and an underlying autistic like condition, reduced perfectionism and rigidity in 17 out of 19 participants[45] although further evaluation is needed.

since i was rather deaf, megan they all and the cynthia, our clan master told me that it was good... cuz the first round, the dude before me sang offtune... so megan was worried i will be offtune too... but luckly, I CAN'T EAR WAT HE SANG!!! so stuck to my original tune... so won the first round.... then sheng hong won seond, although i think the malay guy hazeeq should win... due to tech error, no third round... their mike all spoil spoil one...

morning wake up at 5am, go to sch.... suppose 8am report, 6.30am reach sch, slept till 7.45am at the wooden table outside canteen... YEAH I CAN SLEEP LIKE A PIG.... ZZZZZ

then dunno sent to where, walk to bus int, take 228 then end up 7 stops away...
on bus i was chatting to whimsy... lalala then she said that she everytime kanna bullied one.... cuz she is like the "chen hsin yi" in FATED TO LOVE, blur blur one.... and i find that rather true.... then she gave up seat for two little kid to seat.... then this smaller kiddo, guy, was like staring at me non-stop..... how humiliating, i got OUT-STARED by a kiddo.... refuse to maintain eye contact... but that kid kept looking at me....and gosh, he look like me.... when i'm small.... FREAKY!!! then the kiddo dad, looks like my dad's friend.... the bald one.

so went to collect newsppr and old clothes.... apparently we are not allowed to collect old electrical appliances.... last time ZHSS got leh.... we collected three dvd player....apparently not enough guys, so one guy per grp..... i got the 小白脸 advantage, my grp got ken!!! yeah go ken! carry the heavy stuff! be the man! let the 小白脸 do the talking.... so combed 4 blocks.... apparently if i make a comparison with bedok area and serangoon, i can say serangoon more affluent... cuz the resident there are normal families, not those old ppl live alone type then bedok area many vacant flats..... then erm.... not much stuff to collect.

so we go knock door, look at the electric meter... if not moving then it is vacant flat.... then some ppl donate by huge huge bags... majority is old ppl living there, so when we knock the door, and they open it, they are very cautious, tot that we are burglars..... all of us were hungry... then they cooking lunch so can smell the aroma.... to make things worst, i was listing out the ingredients, based on the smell.... then Sian Ling, was damn enthu.... cuz she damn hungry....

so end up being very enthu too.... hungry wat....

okay morning till noon got lectures..... discipline stuff and weird stuff....
chi lesson sucks.... the chi harder then higher chi.... FREAKING HELL.... then the ppl there all speak in eng to the chi t'cher, like suan-ing her.... econ was fun....laughable... then went to o-nite rehearsal..... missed the last dance practise.... so idk how and wat the last dance was like.... then later meet with OG 10, take bus to suntec.... on bus watch simpsons with michael... [mikey boy /mike-kaen-do] then the OGLs were like WTH are u two doing!!!! then went to Burger king for dinner... ate tendergrill again... cuz can't chew due to braces.... then met new friend... XIA MENG.... she from drama also... manage to con her to buy tendergrill too... then mikey boy over there, eating ther ppl fries... and ate leslie burger.... glutton...dun want buy himself.... then dunno whose left over meal still got fries, mikey boy just went forward and took and ate it... EYER!!!

so we went around the fountain of wealth.... started cheering and dance... the fountain of wealth gave out the mist fountain.... then due to the wind blowing at our direction, everyone was aa little damp and moist.... so started dances and stuff, went tu-tu-train round fountain. then later at nite, the fountain pumped more water, till its MAX HEIGHT.... suay suay-ly, wind blow, so go "RAIN" at the XEIA area.... then DANCE IN THE "RAIN" LAH! sze long pop out of no where, sayingher phone was wet..... muahahaha.... then gave our OGL for safe keeping.... end of concert return to her.... everyone was soaked thru.... then freezing cold.... dismissed, went to the KOU FU for supper, rest awhile and tio chased away by uncle..... then Jamie was somewat fiery and pissed at the uncle.... me and jordan went to find toilet... but toilet locked, so we change our wet clothes at the corridors... the corridors connecting the "garden" and the rear end of the shop.. so if suay suay, the shop ppl exit by the back, they will see two teens changing there..... took mrt home, reached at 12.... slept and go GO GREEN DAY the next day...

i was chosen to represent the xeia for some sing song stage game.... like the "SONG" from TS. then actually no need act in the audition for the o-nite performance.... then today the script writer tiong ann, came to me, want me to act the "Proffessor x" give me one hour to rehearse and act and perform.... hence the show was done very unprofessionally.... i can't stand crappy drama now. but while acting, the YONG QUAN from AHS, tore his long pants on stage..... HA! HAHAHAHAHA.... no wonder there was an awkard pause...
