WARNING: This Plastic Bag IS NOT a Toy
Yes it is. My boys decided after being told to put the plastic grocery bags away, to instead use them to perfect the art of "plastic bag parachuting off the couch." Surely if one, two, or three bags wouldn't do the job, then 5 or 6 Definitely will. They got several jumps in via off the back of my couch and practiced different combos: Picture this 3 bags attached to their backs like backpacks via arms through the handle holes then holding 2 or 3 above the head as they launch....unfortunately, as all other children before them have learned as well, there isn't enough lift in the bags or distance between the top of the couch and the floor to get carried by the bags. I'm glad they didn't think to try from the top of their bunk beds :)

mary poppins practically perfect in every way
Dear Ms. Poppins,
I was wondering if you could kindly tell me how to become "Practically Perfect in Every Way." Because every time I measure myself, it only says 5'2 3/4" tall and Right now my child is pinching my arm because I'm not letting him play his game because I'm trying to blog. So obviously I'm NOT practically perfect in every way or my arm wouldn't hurt and my 5 year old would not be crying at me. Plus, My Christmas Cards are not even started and I just found out that my Brother and his wife are coming to stay tonight and my house looks like a tornado hit it and I have A LOT of treats to make because we made our "Delivery list" last night and it's long. I wish so many people weren't so nice to me, then I wouldn't want to be nice back. Could you also give me some tips on how to snap your fingers and make things dance and put themselves away? That would be great. Thanks so much.
Sincerely,
Overwhelmed and Exasborated
Rachel
The North Hole
So this morning, after hearing Jax cough all night, he woke up and Micah announced that he thought Jax should stay home from school today because he has a pretty bad cold, Jax replied, "No Dad, I have a hot, feel my forehead. It's hot." I love that my boys make me smile everyday at the things their brains figure out.
Yesterday, Morgan and I were talking about the North Pole and I reminded him about when he was in Kindergarten and first learned about it, he called it "The North Hole." Teehee, teeheehee. He laughed like, "I can't believe I was ever so young and ridiculous"...it was funny. I can't believe I'm old enough to have an almost 8 year old. AHHHHH!

Facilatating
When we open and drink out of water bottles we write our names on them so as not to share germs and/or my children's backwash. So Today when Morgan opened a water bottle and drank out of it I told him to write his name on it. He then asked, "Will you do it mom? And will you write 'Star Wars: the Clone Wars' on it too?"
"Sure," I said smiling. Well there wasn't enough room to write the Clone Wars portion on it so he was a bit disappointed when I gave it back to him and apparently he felt it was missing something so this is what he added. In case you can't make it out, it's 2 guys fighting with light-sabors. Love it.
Later when I asked the boys to go upstairs and clean up their Legos and bionicles they were playing with, He came back downstairs after a while and reported: "Marcus is crying and I need someone to come up and silitate."
"You need someone to what?"
"SILITATE!"
Whenever I need Micah to intervene with getting the kids to listen I asked him to Facilitate them in whatever it is that I need...It's funny that he is picking up on it.

It's a small world after all
Tonight we went to our ward Christmas party and they did a theme of Christmas traditions around the world. They had A LOT of different stands from ALL over, I was amazed at how much diversity we have in our ward (we have people from Scotland, the Netherlands, Mexico, Guatemala, Hawaii, and people lived in places like Tahiti, plus we had people that had served missions all over the place. One in particular, a gentleman had a little section on Korea, Seoul West actually. So I asked him when he served and it sounded like around the time Jared (My oldest Brother who also served in that mission) would have been there so I asked if he knew an Elder Jorgensen and he said "Yep, he was in my district!" WOW! It got me all excited to find another link to Jared.
Marcus Charm
Here are some cute pics of Marcus. He is discovering how to smile and does it in his sleep a lot! I can't believe he's already 2 months old. They grow so fast. I'm trying to savor the moments as much as time allows...
A Perk to being a Budge
I know that I don't have very attractive toes, but over Thanksgiving Micah's cousin gave me cute toenails. It's very exciting for me because I've NEVER had "cute" or fancy toenails or fingernails (Mostly during the summer, I just paint my toenails plain red and that's as exciting as I get.) Stephanie is so talented with this (She taught herself how to do it)--she free handed my toenails into plaid and put JEWELS on them! Can you believe I had bling on my TOENAILS! Anyway, try not to be disgusted or appalled at my stubby toes and you will appreciate the artistry here. PS. I smeared the flower on my Right toe on accident right after I got them...oh well.
