Time flys!!!!!!

Its june already...can you believe it?
It been crazy the last few months

Had a really lovely time with Lisa when she came up to Cairns.......nice girlie shopping day and we also had a pedicure which was fabulous!

Spent 2 days at a retreat and got to spend some really lovely time with Margie too
she is a gem that girl

Had some great chats with Carol and her lovely friend Kristen

My next little trip is in july up to the tablelands for a couple of days with Mel and the girl
It was sopposed to be a retreat but some girls couldnt make it so now a few of us are getting together for a bit of fun and scrap for a few days at Mels place
Cant wait!

Have been very busy with cards lately will share soon

The weather has cooled down a lot up here
we are getting perfect weather here at the moment.....beautiful sunny days.......bit chilly morning and night

I have to tell you that on the cover of this months "Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft" one of my cards is on the cover!!!!!!

We are on fire!!!!!!

This is my last weekend home for a while ..... on thursday im off to Brissy with Mel
Im staying at Shans place and we are off girlie shopping on friday with Kerryn and then a 9 hour crop on saturday with a whole bunch of cool chickies
I cant wait!
Ill be home sunday then the next week im off to Cairns on friday to have a girlie weekend with Lisa!
I cant wait to see her again
There are a whole heap of girls from down south cominng up here that weekend for a retreat so i will get to spend a bit of time with them all as well

YES IM JUST ABOUT WETTING MY PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its been way too long!!!!!!

FINALLY............
I now am on satellite internet
My dial up is gone (thank goodness) and i can do some serious catching up!

Lots of stuff has been happening.....probably the biggest thing would be that we moved again (twice in 4 months is just wrong)
We are now living near the Daintree River
Not close enough to get crocs in our yard though!
Its a lot further to drive every day which is a pain when you have teenage kids that have sports and work etc......

I finally got me a laptop!!!!!
i have saved up for one 3 times now and every time the money has been needed for something else.....so thankyou Mr Rudd i now have my Dell.....and im lovin it sick!!!!

Im now on easter holidays for 12 days
I go back for 2 days then i go to Brisbane for 3 days!!!!!!
Then i go back for work for another couple of days and My Lisa girl will be here!!!

How exciting.......i cant wait:)

Im off now but will do some more updating later....must go catch up on everyones blogs that ive missed for the last few months........dial up does not like BLOGS!!!!

Back to school and work

Well we are now into the start of week 2 here in QLD
Its february already!

The boys are settling in ok at school
Jacob yr 12
Braiden just started high school
Yep my baby is getting big


I couldnt get one of Jacob........(Grrr)

So im back doing my 3 days a week at primary school
feels very weird being there with none of my kids
No lunch time hugs.......no bludging money off me:)

I really love holidays and having the boys home

Its kind of nice being back into a routine again though

Having a day to myself and having the house tidy for a few hours!

There is a cyclone brewing in the gulf so we will be keeping an eye on that

These chrissy holidays have been a bit of a dud really
Havent done much at all
We all had the flu over christmas new year and now its really wet

The boys are quite happy to just muck around and play
We have taken them to the movies and bowling and stuff which they loved but we really wanted to try and go camping or something

Had a big tidy up in my craft room........



Have done a bit of creating lately and got another set of cards published which is cool!





This months Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft have my 10 quick cards in this month........very exciting!

I just ordered a Cuttlebug!!!!
I cant wait to get my hands on it
Now i need to get me some of those yummy embossing folders so i can make some yummy papers and stuff for my cards

IM BACK.......

Wow i cant believe my last post was back in October!!!!
So much has happened since we have moved

The most major thing that has happened and i still dont think it has sunk in......
My beautiful darling Mum passed away on 17th December

She has been very sick for a long time as most of you know
She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a while back and had just finished having 6 weeks of radiation
She did so well im getting through this as she was already so weak with the lung disease she had.....but mum being mum she was a toughie and got through it
After it was finished though she had to go to hospital as she had a heart attack and then 2 weeks later found clots on her lungs
I flew over to England in early december and arrived just in time to see her before she went into St Wilfreds Hospice where we were then told that she didnt have long to live
The care there was just unbelievable, so many caring and wonderful DRS and Nurses looked after mum for us
Dad and my brothers and sisters were with Mum when she basically said goodbye to each of us before she was given regular doses of morphine as we promised her we wouldnt let her be in any pain
Our other promise to her was that we wouldnt leave her, at least one of us would be there with her at all times
She slipped away very peacefully on 17th at 12.45am with Dad, Clare and me with her
She isnt suffering anymore and i know that she is keeping her eye on us like she always has
Her funeral was on Christmas eve
I couldnt stay for this but before i left we arranged it all and it was a very beautiful celebration of mums life
She loved Christmas so much so this day will be even more special now

I want to say a big thankyou to all of my beautiful friends for all of your support through this hard time ......i love you all so much xxx

Moving

Yep its all happening this week!!!!!!!!!

The farm sale is finally happening ........settlement is happening this thursday
Very sad but it will be a new adventure in our lives and hopefully find something of our very own again one day soon
We finally found a new place .......like yesterday!
Only renting for a few months till we work out what we are doing

So as you can imagine life is feeling a little bit out of control
The house we are moving into is lovely
4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, on 1 acre
I wont want to move out of there!

Great news is i still get my craft room for a while........Wooooo Hooooooo!

So yeah i wont have a computer from Thursday for about a week .....how will i ever survive!!!!!!!!!!

Mum Update

Its been a while since ive updated on mum
They trialed the drug to try and shrink the lump but it hadnt really done anything
They also found more lumps
So next step they are now giving her Radiation which started 1.5 weeks ago which she will have for 6 weeks
So we are hoping very much that this will zap the little buggers out of there!!!!!!!
She is doing well but very very tired
I spoke to her the other day on the phone and she nodded off!
poor lovie
Didnt think i was that boring?
LOL

Craft room blitz!!!!!!!

The last few days ive been going crazy in my craft room sorting out and going through what i dont need any more
OMG!!!!!!
The reason for this is that we will be moving very soon and im not sure if i will have a craft room so i thought i had better cull it down a bit just in case........dont worry i have still got enough left to last 10 people a lifetime of scrapping!!!!!!!!

Retreat

What a totally awesome time we had!!!!!!!!!

Met Lisa on Thursday night and we caught a train to Penrith and stayed there
Woke up Friday morning and went and saw Mama Mia at the movies
It was so lovely as we havent done something like this for about 8 years!
Living so far away doesnt help!
The movie was great .....very funny .....except seeing 007 singing just doesnt look right or sound right!!!!
The lovely Belle met us and we headed out to Merroo for the retreat
So so wonderful to see everyone again!

The retreat was even better this year i think
The PJ parade was definetly a highlight and i took out the trophy this year with my stunning outfit......lol

2 amazing classes with Lisa and Belle.....thanks girls you are the bestest!
I didnt create a single thing all weekend but boy i shopped my ar$e off!

How much fun everyone had......lots of laughs, chocolate and tears when we left

Cannot wait till next year!!!!!!!!!!!
