Paintings of Grandsons

BOYS BEST FRIEND
Jordan Sharp & His Dog Remington

BROTHERS
Brigham and Drew Greer
I'm not trying to make this an artist Blog but I just wanted to catch up posting all of John's Paintings.  I am so proud of the art work and especially portraits John has completed.  Considering he only paints between 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. he has accomplished alot.  I only wish he didn't have to go to work and he could spend his time painting but I guess it just doesn't work that way.  He says he is just practicing by painting his grandchildren.

Jessica & Alessandra

John just completed this picture of Jessica and Alessandra.  I love the expression on Alessandra's face.  Priceless

Summer Garden

I took this picture a couple of weeks ago.   It is always fun to watch the gardens grow and progress through the summer months.  I have helped John a little with this garden but John loves getting up early in the morning and spending the morning hours in his garden.  I believe this garden would be considered a secret garden because you have to walk through the oak brush to get to it,  No one can see this garden accept through Swensen's bathroom window.  John loves it when the grandkids spend time working in the garden with him.  They have been a great help.  I ask John who is going to eat all this food especially when we have over 30 tomato plants.  He says anyone who wants some good fresh garden produce.  So give us a call.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Okay, I couldn't help myself.  I just love this guy.  September 27th is his birthday so I just wanted to add this to our Blog. There are so many things I love about John it's hard to name them all but here are some of my favorite things:  I LOVE THAT---

He love the Gospel of Jesus Christ
He loves to learn new things
He makes me happy
He loves his family more than anything
He loves to stay busy and work hard
He loves to teach others new things

As I said, it's impossible to name them all but I feel I am the luckiest person in the world to be married to that handsome guy in the cowboy hat.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN

#38 Sisters

I love the way John captured the expressions on Kate and Hailey's faces.    I guess you could say I'm John's greatest fan-he's incredible with the brush and I can't wait for him to complete each painting.

Best Mother's Day Ever

I have some very creative granddaughters.  For Mother's Day the granddaughter gave all the mothers foot massages-now that is a great gift.  I told them the best gifts of all don't come from stores but are the gifts of service.  What a treat.

Enjoying the "Foot Massage"

The girls also made these beautiful corsages to wear.

Then of course we were awarded the "Best Mom Ever" ribbons.  The last thing they made and gave us were homemade backpacks made of paper and ribbon.  I can never remember being that creative and thoughtful at their age.  Thank you girls, you are the greatest.

He Will Be Missed

Kenneth Smith
1947-2011

Saying goodbye to your brother is hard and we will miss him.  Kenneth was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews and he was a good brother.  He was kind and always interested in whatever the family, nieces and nephews were doing.  I am so happy to know we will see him again

The Florida Girls

I had a great time a few weeks ago visiting with Jessica, Gio and the girls.  It's hard being so far away from them but thanks to Delta and the friendly skies we are able to get together several times during the year.  Every time I see the girls I can't believe how fast they grow in-between visits.  Jessica and Gio thanks for your hospitality.  Your home is so comfortable and welcoming and I have enjoyed being with you and the girls.  Some pictures of my time with the Fazzini Family below

I had to put this picture in because I was a amazed at how well Alessandra played on the computer and Jessica's phone.  She could play games on them for hours if allowed.  I don't believe I could put a pencil in my hand at that age.  Kids are much further ahead now compared to the kids in my era.
