Lexi's 5th Birthday

Lexi turned 5 at the beginning of this year. We didn't do a huge party, because we live by the rule every other year party, so we throw a big partay on the even years. But, we did invite family over for cake and ice cream. And, she did get some great gifts. She wanted a green snake cake and with my brother Shane's help it turned out great. I love Lexi!

we were singing to her and she gets so giddy happy when she is in the spotlight...

see what I mean :) she just started laughing. She cracks me up!

such a happy little girl

uncle aaron brought his real snake to the party. lexi was in heaven.
Lexi even got to hold the snake, she loved it!

She loves all animals!

Chris and I got her her first ever bike! It took a while for her to like riding it, but now she is a pro.

Corbin's Baby Blessing

On January 27, 2013, Corbin was blessed in the Hillcrest Ward by his daddy, Chris. I am grateful that my husband holds the priesthood and uses it righteously to bless the lives of me and my children. Not only did he present his name to the congregation but he also blessed him with spiritual strength and promised him great blessings if he lives a faithful life. I don't remember all of the words that Chris spoke but I do remember the sweet feeling I had looking at Corbin all dressed in white knowing that Heavenly Father sent him to Earth for a special purpose and that if I do my best in loving and teaching him he will be a righteous Son of God who will make this world a better place just by him being here. Thank you to all family and friends who came to support us this day. It was a rainy day, gloomy morning, but I felt warm inside.

That night, we held a little family celebration in Corbin's honor. We went to the Glidewell's home for some white cake and other white desserts and just talked. We played a little trivia game about Corbin. It was fun.

Christine and Corbin

One day while Lexi was at preschool, I put Corbin down for tummy time and before I knew it Christine was on her tummy just trying her hardest to get his attention. When I pulled out the camera she had no trouble smiling for a few shots. These pictures were taken at the beginning of January of last year.

New Year's Day Breakfast

For New Year's Day, Chris and I took the girls to a fun breakfast joint that we saw featured on the food network show, Diners, Drive- Ins and Dives. Matt's Big Breakfast is the name and although we literally were waiting for over an hour, it was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. So yummy. Corbo stayed with my parents, didn't want to expose him just yet to restaurants and it was fun to spend some time with just the girls.

they were so good considering how long we had to wait. They melt my heart.

delicious joint.

Christmas Morning

I know these pics are now out of order, but I just found some more of Christmas on another camera. I swear playing catch up is so stinkin hard, especially when you use lots of peoples cameras and computers and things are not organized :) But, at least it is getting done and my kids will have memories, right?

Anyways, this was our late night/morning with the kids. They loved seeing what Santa brought and it was such a relaxing fun morning with my favorite people in the whole world.

the kids helped me decorate sugar cookies for santa the night before

so cute

the kids woke us up, of course. I love it, look at Chris in the background :)

her favorite presents, doll in hand and her car. santa is good.

Corbin's first Christmas! He was not even awake for most of the fun.

Lexi's favorite present.

Christmas Sunday

Here are the girls and Chris all dressed up in their Christmas Sunday clothes. Corbin and I stayed at home, since the little guy was barely one week old. I missed the Christmas program which is always great, filled with music and thoughts of the Savior, but at the same time it was a sweet blessing to stay at home with my new little baby and enjoy him all to myself.

This is of them literally walking in the door from church. Lexi was so excited to tell me all about it.

Lexi picked this dress out herself.

Christine looked so beautiful in this dress

Grandma King's 75th Surprise Birthday Party

Oh my gosh! I cannot believe I am now caught up to the year 2013! In the middle of January, my Grandma and Grandpa King, Aunt Dee Dee, Uncle Denny and my cuzs, Brandon, christian and nicole came out for a visit as well as surprising my Grandma with a 75th birthday party. So much fun! My CA family got to meet Corbin for the first time as well. It is always fun when we visit with them. I love my family, in case I don't say it enough :)
