Fun Friday with Cousin Adelynn

On Friday, we picked up Adelynn so that we could have a play date! The kids had so much fun! We went swimming, had lunch, played dress up, did an art project, read books, and played with toys. They got along so well and really enjoyed being together. Here are some cute pictures of our fun Friday with cousin Adelynn.

They wanted to be princesses so they dressed up, I did their hair, and they even got a little make up to really shine :) I love these adorable girls!

Then, Lexi insisted on getting the playhouse out and they called it their princess castle

peekaboo!

They also had some yummy desserts in the castle. I love Christine's expression in this pic, huh?

The Art project. They went outside and collected leaves and grass so that we could make some fall apple trees. They turned out cute!

So proud, so cute, such a fun day!

My New Homemade Fall Wreath

Last year, I bought all the supplies to make this cute fall wreath that I saw online and had every intention on creating it so that my "special" door could look better for the start of the holiday season. Well, I never ended up getting around to it and so for a year, all of the supplies have just been sitting there on my bookshelf in my room. A couple of days ago I got into a super crafty mood and wondered what I should make. Chris reminded me of the wreath supplies and suggested I make that, since I wouldn't have to spend any money. :) I love wreaths and so I finally got around to making it.

I have to say, I LOVE it! I REALLY LOVE it! I want to make more and more wreaths now because of it. Anyways, I just wanted to share my creation that I did entirely on my own with you all.

It is made with yarn, felt, and decorative beads, that is it! Happy Fall to All! :)

A Scientist in Training!?

The other day while at my parents' house, Lexi went into her Uncle Shane's room and, on her own, put on his lab coat and safety goggles. Then, she found his fake rat and held it and told us that she was a scientist like Uncle Shane. It made Shane blush and it made me laugh! I don't know if she will end up being a scientist when she is older, but for right now, she sure looked cute all dressed up like one.

The rat thing kind of creeps me out, but she now calls it her friend, so, I don't know, Lexi always amazes me by what she says and does; I guess.
