Baby Shower for Corbin

I have always been so blessed to have friends and family who want to help celebrate the births of my children. All three have now had showers, which has been such a big help for Chris and I. I am truly grateful for all who came and brought gifts, laughs, and good memories. The shower really got me excited about this little boy joining our family. Not that I wasn't prior, but it is sure fun actually seeing all the baby boy stuff and placing it in my home. It is just making the experience really come alive! I cannot wait to meet him in about 6 weeks and I know he has lots of others who cannot wait either.

In all my pregnancy glory! My shirt is not see-through, I promise, it was just the lighting.

awesome gifts: We got tons of boy clothes that are darling, and some homemade goodies like booties, and a diaper pouch and so many other generous gifts. Thanks everyone!

sis in law Hallie who came to support us

my aunt Lynda, Maralyn (sis in law), me and my cousin Chelsea. Maralyn was taking the pictures, but my mom insisted that she be in one, so here we are.

My buddy, Jesika and I. Jesika serves with me in the Primary Presidency, is Lexi's dance teacher and has become one of my sweet friends. She hosted the shower for Corbin and I. Thanks Jesika, it was awesome!

Halloween

Early in the morning, when Lexi was at school, Christine and I made these pumpkin counting books using the seeds from our pumpkin. She loved it!

Ta Dah!

On Halloween Night, we went over to my parents house for dinner. Then, we got into costumes and went trick or treating! Christine was a fairy this year.

And, a cute one at that!

Lexi was a flamingo.

My mom made these cool flamingo wings for her, because, just so you know, you cannot find a flamingo costume at the store. Lexi loves to "transform" into animals and she sure did make a cute bird!

Cousin Noah came for the ride, but as you can see, he was quite content passing on the trick or treating this year.

The girls had a wonderful night trick or treating with their cousin Adee and they received a lot of candy that they enjoy! Happy Halloween!

Chili Cook Off and Pumpkin Carving

This picture was taken at our Ward's Annual Chili Cook-Off. It was really fun this year! It is fun to have Aunt Hallie and the rest of the family in our ward to celebrate with us. As you can see by Christine's face, the food and candy was awesome! Good times!

For Family Night, we went to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkin. Well, we waited too long and the pickings were not so good, so we ended up just getting our pumpkin at a local grocery store. But, the patch still had some great photo spots and things for the kids to do, so it was still worth going. This is at the entrance.

Almost four feet tall!

3 feet tall!

I have no idea why Lex decided to pose this way, but it is funny! Christine also makes me laugh in this pic. can you say, huh?

Highlight for Lex

Carving time! Chris loves carving pumpkins. I don't and the kids, well, don't either. Chris never loses hope though. Every year he thinks it will be the year when the girls will love it and it never happens. Oh well, hopefully Corbin will love it next year and then it can be a son/dad bonding thing. We shall see!

He did, however, convince Lexi to touch the insides of the pumpkin and she did for like 5 seconds while I snapped this picture. Then, she immediately ran to the bathroom to wash her hands and exclaim that she is never going to do that again.

But, we all loved our finished pirate pumpkin.

Good work, Dad!

Christine loves to dress up

Here are two really cute pictures of Christine at about 2 years and 3 months. She loves to dress up and take pictures so these pictures are for her! I love this girl so much!

She also loves to put in her baby headbands all by herself. She is sure growing up so fast.

silly girl!

Spiders and Spiderwebs

The last Halloween craft that the kids and I did before Halloween was spiders and spiderwebs. We made the whole morning themed with spiders and we had so much fun! The girls also liked having Halloween inspired artwork hanging up in their room during the Holiday.

For breakfast: oatmeal pancakes with a piped on Nutella spider

For a girl who loves pancakes and nutella, she was in heaven!

Then, we made handprint spiders. Kids of all ages love handprint projects. So great!

Next, rice spiderwebs. The girls loved making a "mess" and then watching the excess rice fall off to reveal a spiderweb. I got oohs and aahs on this project.

Finally, I used streamers to create a web maze in our hallway. This was the greatest! Lexi loved LOVED trying to figure out how to get out without taking the web down. Christine thought it was cool too!

Mission complete.

Final product #1

And #2

We then read these wonderful books to learn more about spiders.

I love the fact that my children love reading and learning. It makes being their mom so much fun!
