Chris's Celebration

Chris finished his last final this morning and was so thrilled he wanted to celebrate. So, we went to Chili's for dinner. It was so fun to get out of the house and do something special to commemorate the last day of finals! While we were there Alexis was in a really good mood, so she smiled for the camera. I just thought these pictures are so cute. It showcases all of her teeth and shows off her eyes really well. Anyways, congratulations Chris for finishing this semester! We love you!

Easter Basket and Easter Dress

We had a wonderful Easter. Alexis looked so cute in her dress. The "Easter Bunny" visited Alexis this year. He or she, brought Alexis a book about the true meaning of Easter, a tinkerbell cup with a straw, and a peeps bunny bath toy (it lights up when it hits the water, pretty cool). She looked at her treasures right before retiring to bed. All in all, it was a good Easter. I am grateful for the fun stuff about easter like the dress and gifts, but most of all, I am grateful for Jesus Christ and that he came to earth to fulfull all righteousness, died, and was resurrected. I am grateful that he did this for us so that we too will be resurrected and live with our families forever. What a great holiday and reason to celebrate! Enjoy the pictures of my sweetie!

Walking Along, Singing a Song, Side by Side

Alexis is officially walking. She has been doing this for some time, but I realized I never posted it. She loves walking soooooo much. She is even starting to "run" but then she gets scared and goes back to a walking pace. Her latest trick is she picks up one toy, like her stuffed dog, and will just walk holding on to the dog. After she is done with the dog, she will pick up another toy and just walk around with it. It is kind of funny how she never wants to play with her toys, she just wants to hold them as she walks. Her favorite place to walk is outside. She could live outside if I would let her. I am so grateful that the weather is getting nicer so we can take mommy/daughter walks around town. It is good for both of us.

Another thing that Alexis does all the time now is she makes clicking noises with her tongue. She has realized that her tongue can go up and down and that a clicking noise results from it. It all started yesterday when I was in the kitchen, cooking, and I was making the noise like I sometimes do. All of the sudden, I hear Alexis making the same noise in her high chair. It was awesome! She loves to mimic people, so now more than ever, I better be careful with what I say :)

My baby is growing up so fast. It is amazing to watch the transformation, but at the same time sad, because I realize how fast time can go. Before you know it, she will be in school and be all grown up. Okay I am done thinking about the future. Anyways, it is so great that she is learning all these new things. I love you Alexis!

I will try to post a video of her walking when my camera is working again :)
