Cole-isms
"Mom, know what? The pool reminds me of a bathroom cause there's lots of water and that means I can pee in the pool whenever I want!"
Thank goodness for chlorine.
Thank goodness for chlorine.
Lake Powell
Highlites:
**the boys getting up on skis... not the practice skis, but the real thing. They did awesome!
**watching my three year old niece get up on skis and once she was up dance on them. Unfortunately no picture of this. I will have to get one from her momma.
**Jeff coming in two days after us and 20 minutes after arriving, slipping and falling into the lake fully clothed with two cell phones in his pocket. Now, he gets to use a hot pink razor and is driving around in a red mini cooper. Sexy. I know you are all jealous.
**catching lizards. And then my sweet sensitive Jake crying because he was upset the lizard was being taken away from his family and worried that he would never be able to find them again.
**Jake's AWESOME temper tantrum because he could not get up on the skis. I do have this one on video. It will be used as blackmail one day.
**sandcastles and seashells
**My timid child Cole that would not jump off the couch to the ground until this year decided to jump from the houseboat into the water. Scared me to death.
**"tubing and the wave runners and everything else" (Cole's favorite things)
**BATS and spiders. Spiders and bats. Big HUGE spiders.
Everywhere.
6 years old and growing
I cannot believe my baby is six. Where does the time go? He is my one that always promises me he will stay little forever. Apparently that is not happening. Our Cole-train still loves to tease. And to make people laugh. He thinks he is hilarious. Which most of the time he is, unless it is the week Jake is on steroids... not so funny those weeks. For some reason, the teasing is twice as much on those weeks. I don't think it is a coincidence. He still calls me Mrs. T-Bell or Mrs. Peanuts. Bear still makes an appearance everywhere we go. He loves to swim and play soccer and he loves basketball. And of course video games. What 6-year old does not like video games? He is our sensitive boy and is shy in large groups of people, but once you get him going, he does not shut up. I love that he sticks his tongue out when he is embarrassed or trying something new. He loves numbers and counting. He loves to do chores and work for money. A lot of times, Jake will not do his chores, so Cole takes the option of doing Jake's and getting his money too. I think at the moment, Cole has $19 and Jake has $2. He is always trying to think up ways to earn some more money. We find bugs in his pockets on a consistent basis. Just yesterday, he caught some roly-polies at a friends house and stuck them in a cup. I did not think much about it until this morning when he showed me that none of them had died. All 27 of them. In one cup. They are not so bad when it is one or two, but 27? Yuck! I LOVE that he still cannot say his R's or L's. (Wake Powell or bafwoom for bathroom) I think it is the cutest thing ever and hope it never changes. Even when he is 20 even though he would probably get made fun of by that time. He is our angel boy that is so kind and sweet with a feistiness that will give anyone a run for their money. We love you Cole and Happy Birthday!
His day went along the lines of this:
Breakfast at McDonald's with dad
I had planned for months to do a Bear hunt party. He was having none of that. And I have heard about it for weeks. He wanted a batman party WITH FRIENDS. He only gets a friend party every other year, so we compromised and had a couple of his friends come over to swim all day. It worked out well. No work for me, and his best friends were able to play.
This is Cole's best friend Colie. They are two peas in a pod. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble together. We have lots of fun stories about the naughty things they do when they play. Love them.
Our family party with cake and ice cream. He got a new basketball and sweat bands which he immediately put on and would not take off. A new basketball outfit and backpack and legos. The only thing he asked for was a dinosaur named Spike Jr. that has been carted around with us everywhere. It has caused way to much drama in our house. Between him and Crew it has become the new toy of the year.
And finally, we went to a drive-in and saw Toy Story 3.
We love you Cole-train and STOP GROWING! It is making me so sad to see you get so big so fast! You promised!!!

The 4th of July
We were able to spend the holiday in Reno with Jeff's family this year. We had to drive down and pick up our two little lovies that were gone for the longest two weeks ever! (I think I had a more difficult time than they did.) We had a very simple relaxing day with church, a barbque and fireworks at one of the hotels downtown that night. It was much fun!!
On another note, we have some friends whose little boy was diagnosed with leukemia. He is not doing very well. At this point they are not sure if he is going to be able to pull through. Please keep this sweet baby in your prayers. They need all the support and help they can get right now. It is heartwrenching to have to watch these little ones go through this. Thank you for your support, always.

Don't FORGET!!
Just a reminder about the ACS Relay For Life this Friday and Saturday. It is an amazing event that helps to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We were involved last year and LOVED it! It starts at 7:00 pm and runs until the next morning. There will be booths and food and blow up slides for the kids and entertainment and treats and an awesome program and lots and lots of fun! Our kids have been looking forward to this all year and promise you will love it, so come and support! It is being held in Herriman at Monarch Meadows Park (13600 south and 4800 west).
Other ways that you can support are to purchase luminaria bags. They are $10 each and will line the track that evening. You can buy them in someones name and then decorate it for them or we can put their name on it for you. Let us know if you would like to purchase any! It is a great way to support ACS.
Another way to donate is to go to our team page and donate money there. We are Team We Hate Cancer. If you go to the ACS website you can access our team page there and make a donation. Thanks for your support! xoxoxo
