California continued...

Now that I have been home for a week, I feel like I can breathe again. Do you ever need a vacation from your vacation? Or maybe that is just when you take your kids with you! My house is a wreck, I have a TON of catching up on editing to do AND now we are moving. It is exhausting. But, there are some yummy highlites from our trip that I want to remember...

Cole telling me that his brain hurts. I think it was most likely because he was so tired from running around Disneyland all day.

Jake getting picked to be a Jedi padawan. A Jedi Master in training. I asked him if he wanted to stay and watch the Star Wars show instead of going on Space Mountain and he told me, "I have always wanted to become a Jedi Master and learn to use the Force. I think we should stay."

Jake got picked, Cole did not. Which broke my heart. In fact, I almost cried. It was so not fair.

They are both still talking about it today. Jake has told everyone he knows that he got to fight Darth Maul and saw the REAL Darth Vader. Cole keeps saying he did not like it because he did not get picked. But, when we go back, we are making sure that kid gets to go up on stage. (seriously the cutest show I have ever seen)

Watching the looks of amazement on Cole and Crew during the Playhouse Disney show.

Seeing Crew's reaction as he met Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. He was obsessed.

Crew screaming when he saw Mr. Incredible. For some reason, he was completely terrified of him and started sobbing when we saw him walking down the street.

The day after our last day at Disneyland, Cole woke up and the first thing he asked me was if we could go back to Disneyland and check and see if he had grown enough overnight to go on California Screamin' yet.

Playing 'monkey in the middle' and 'can't catch me' with the waves at the beach.

Crew getting taken out by the largest wave of all time, and then Aunt Jackie jumping in the ocean to save him. (Thank you Aunt Jackie!!)

Jake catching his first sand crab and asking if we can take him home and keep him as a pet. (Obviously he has not gotten the memo that no pets are allowed at our house! I know. I know. We are mean.)

Losing Crew at the Santa Monica Pier for a total of three minutes which felt like three days and me at the edge of total panic. Not a good feeling.

Watching my two boys be the best of friends and have the time of their lives trying to surf in the freezing cold water.

Cali

I don't know if I am just plain dumb or the best mom ever... I guess it could have gone one of two ways! I drove the boys to California by MYSELF. Yes, crazy. In the small car with no movies, crazier. I have to admit, it was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. We stayed the night in Vegas on the way there which was not bad at all, but on the way home we drove the whole way through. I started anticipating that darn drive the second we pulled into LA. But we made it! I only had to pull over five or six times to stop fights and find the DS for the boys. Crew only colored a little bit on the window and ceiling and he only cried for about 30 minutes straight! And my kids all survived surprisingly enough! I would even do it again if that tells you anything! We had an awesome trip going to Disneyland and to the beach and playing with cute cousins. If I can get my act together, I will eventually post some pictures from our trip. Here is just one of the crazy boys for now...
