Happy 2nd Birthday

SpongBob No Pants

When William was turning 1 Lilly told us he loved SpongeBob Squarepants. She knew that he wanted a SpongeBob party. We thought that she had wanted this type of a party. Now if you ask Will who his best friend is he will say SpongeBob. So I made him a SpongeBob birthday cake on the cheap. He it is in all it's glory. We had a nice party with Grandma Chewy, Grumpa Bill, Grandma Pebbles, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Fiona, Cody, Parker, Uncle Jon, and Aunt Vicki. I will have to get more pictures from Granny Frannie as this Mom never got the camera out.

"Say Cheese Mommy"

Lilly has her own camera. I will have to do new post with the pictures that she takes. She is her own little person. She has a large number of "babies" that she takes care of every day. Her babies have all different things wrong with them. She has some that "have" primortial dorfism and others that "have" brain tumors. Each day I swear that she comes up with something else. We have a handful of the babies that have different names and a few that always have the same name. Her kids that are always the same are Stella Isabella (named after the neighbor), Kelly (named after the door greater at Walmart), Jaclyn (named after Jaclyn) and Baby Will (named after her brother). She even used her own money to buy Baby Will a new outfit at the dollar store on Tuesday. She is a handful somethimes but she is her own person.

PLAYING WITH OUR FOOD

We decided that we needed a little entertainment a while back. Lilly and I used the Chow Mein Noodles to write our names. I think this may have been an idea from the parent class that we had while Lilly was in pre-school. Kristel gave us so many ideas to keep our little minds going. Though you may enjoy.

Glen Canyon Dam

Some pictures of the Glen Canyon Dam. Enjoy!

South Rim of the Grand Canyon

The kids with Cindy

Taking a break.

Our family at the Grand Canyon.

We took a long trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon with Cindy and Jason during our vacation in May. We left at 4 am to start our trip. We had the DVD player in the car for the kids as the trip was 5 hours. We loaded the car and got ourselves ready for the journey waiting until we were leaving the driveway to wake the kids. Lilly was back to sleep before we left home. Will watched his favorite DVD ... Spongebob Squarepants. He stayed awake until we got to Orderville. I had to stop in Kanab for a potty break. Will woke up and again he was awake for the entire Spongebob movie. We stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam. We were just doing the tourist thing ... we were even going to do the tour because it was starting at 8 am and we thought it was 7:45. Well, to our surprise it was only 6:45 as we crossed the Utah border into Arizona. After some photos we were off on the long trip. Traveling through the Reservation was a good reminder of what we have. I am thankful that my house is in good repair. Most of the trailer houses had tires scattered on the roofs. They had little roadside shacks along the way. All the Native American families had little stores where they sold traditional goods. We never stopped but many others did. We got to the entrance to the park. It was a long trip from the entrance to anything. We spent the next 2 days touring and had a great time. Lilly and Cindy worked hard on the Junior Ranger Program. Lilly earned her title of Junior Ranger after her morning talk with a Ranger. We went on a fossil walk with the Ranger. He showed us a bunch of fossils. Even a Spongebob fossil. Now Grandpa and Grandma Flowers are on Lilly's List. They brought home a fossil from their last trip. Lilly lectured Grandpa on how we need to leave them in their home. She is now a conservationist. Well, I could go on and on .... but I am done.

Holy Coupons!!!!

Wow, the coupon ladies have done it to me again! I spent 2 hours at Albertsons last night. Then after the boys went to bed me and Lilly went to Lin's at 11:30 to get some cereal. I know this is crazy. Some people think I am spending more on gas for all my little trips to the store but, the check I write for gas has not changed. Here is my list for yesterday, sorry no pictures as Chris wont let me take them when he is around.

3 Wacky Mac Pasta 58 cents each
1 Twix Candy Bar FREE
1 Gallon Milk $1.99
4 Taco Bell Hard Taco Shells FREE
3 Keebler Club Sticks $1 each
4 Ritz Crackers and 4 Wheat Thins 30 cents TOTAL (had to pay tax)
1 Bag Chips (for my salsa) $1.88
6 Boxes Kelloggs Cereals (Blueberry Mini Wheats, Frosted Mini Wheats, Corn Pops, and Froot Loops) 75 cents each

TOTAL $14.56 a savings (if purchased at Albies and Lin's) of $59.45.

I have been shopping at Walmart since they started carrying food. We bought what we could at the little Walmart in the current Cal Ranch store. I am a Walmart woman but, these deals are too much for me to pass on. Walmart pays my bills so I will still keep them on my list but, I am converted to Albies. After the many trips to the car yesterday I am going to plan better and get the coupon job done before the very last day of the sale. Coupons are my new job. I can work from home so, I am still a SAHM with coupons.

Oh no, big sale at Albies today. Spend $25 get a coupon for $10 off my next shopping trip. Let me scour the coupons to make this a bigger and better shopping trip. Kids get ready we're going to Albies!!!

PS Thanks to Lindsay and Gary as they loaned me 1 penny to pay for my taco shells :)
