Oh, i'm in a romantic mood now..really...listening to wedding/love/romantic songs...
"Forever my darling, I will be true, Always fall in love, I'll love only u.."
It's pledging my love, by elvis..hmm...hmm...hmm...
Yesterday would be one of the most unforgettable days of my life...it's our pre-wedding shoot, or studio/outdoor shoot, or whatever u call it.
Really like our PG (photographer), Jeffrey from Chris Ling Studio...trained by Chris Ling himself...he's handsome (*blushing* dun let Eric know), and patient, and understanding etc etc etc...*day-dreaming..
Ok, shall describe what happened yesterday.
It's really not a good idea to read too much related stuff on bridal mags and Singapore Brides forum..i ended up bringing too much things! i brought sewing kit (!!!), nail polish (!!!), props - the teddy bear, our love letters and cards (forgot to ask DD to bring the hat and red feathered fan (from his co D&D - hey, but maybe we can use them for gate crashing instead...i have ideas brewing up in my mind...), makeup essentials (!!!), one extra pair of heels, one dress (for casual wear shots), nude stockings (!!!), dry and wet tissues, perfume, contact lens solution, eye drop (!!!), oil blotter, extra accessories (!!!) etc etc etc.
And u know, those items which i put "!!!" were redundant! So, u r exclaiming? That's why i put "!!!" to mark the exclamation!
Ok, the point is (ok sorry, i'm only reaching the "point" now) i THOUGHT i would have enough time to pack those things in the morning..i wanna slp earlier, i slept at 11pm+ in e end, and i gotta reach the studio at 10am, and as u guess it, i was late! then i called a cab, "toh-long" the drive to drive faster, and he agreed that I could eat in the car, and so i finished my "tau-huay" for breakfast..whew!
Felt so apologetic to my MUA (make-up artist), Ah-Sia, though he didn't mind. U see, before the actual pre-wedding shoot, he did trial makeup one week earlier and we were late, and i promised him i would be early on the actual pre-wedding shoot day..but i didn't kept my promise...didnt think he remembered that anyway. heehee.
i like Ah-Sia too, like his style (the way he presents himself) as a MUA..hee..."soft man"..i even teased him during the makeup, and had some sudden giggles while he did my eyes (i couldn't control myself...kinda disrupted his "work") but funnily, he laughed with me together - for nothing. hahaha....and my giggles became loud laughters - all for nothing. hahahahaha...ok, stupid me. So much so for all the sudden 笑场..haha..
See those pics..
First two costumes were the kua (chinese traditional wedding costume) and the japanese kimono (?) followed by the evening gown (to be worn on actual day during banquet) with some sexy poses...(*whistle) and then the wedding gown (to be worn during the day and when banquet starts) with all our props and hand bouquet as well.
Spent a lot of time doing those studio shoots with Jeffrey (*blushing again*)...
We were very very stiff. The tons of weight lifting must have lifted my shoulders. Jeffrey kept asking me to put my shoulders down, but i guess they are like that. I felt so difficult to even do a simple pose naturally. Jeffrey then comforted, "nvm then, they r like tt." He really need to compromise, and make some adjts to his shots to hide our weaknesses (alot!) and show our strengths.
DD was worse. Not only stiff, but also slow in responding. He was too tired. He wasn't late, but he stayed up till 1am+ to prepare his own things! Including shirts, ties, bow tie, cufflinks, love letters, shoes etc.
And the verdict? Slow response, drowsy eyes, crooked smiles. haha. Ok la, he didn't want to smile widely (though Jeffrey kept asking him to show his teeth), cuz he didn't want to make his small eyes become slits. haha. oops. So Jeffrey joked, "So your 3 souls are still in bed. Just now I thought only 2 were on bed, and the other one with u." hahaha...正所谓醉酒三分醒...LOL...
So if u were him, are smiles more impt or keeping his eyes open more impt? Actually it's individual preferences, there's no rite or wrong. So can't really "control" DD. This is what Jeffrey said. True.
Had a really good time! While i was at the studio doing my trial makeup last week, saw two couples (one of whom was photographed by Jeffrey - lucky couple! ",) looking so "glum" and tired. Not me! I felt even more energised after the photo shoot, do u believe that? But of course, minus the fact that we were sticky, hot, messy. But those could be salvaged with a teeny bit of perfume and makeup for touching up. = )
Even met up my sisters for dinner and drinks at Brewerks. hehe...of course DD went with me. He wouldn't say NO to beers, nope, i should say alcohols. Oh god.
Even slept at 1am+, and was tossing around. i guess there were too many excited things to keep me awake still. Even woke up next day at 6.30am for my company's teambuilding event.
This is a hectic weekend. I'm also going for the 10km Shape Run tomorrow, starting at 7am.
But it's so fulfilling!! I like getting married. Like taking photographs. Like Jeffrey.
Like Jeffrey's job too. It's a job which his customers would like him. Being a PG allows u to reveal the different sides of the couple, alot of which they don't normally show in public at other times. The shy side, the sexy/alluring/provocative side, the teasing side, the genuinely happy side with actions. Change, change, change. Taking those photos with so many sides, some of which even the couple themselves would not be aware of, and taking those photos with ever so grand and attractive gowns and suits, which the couple might only have the chance to wear once in their lifetime. He actually recorded the special, once-in-a-lifetime memories that a couple would ever have, and discover themselves through the lens, the true bliss and happiness they would enjoy in a marriage, of which two persons become one. It's really a meaningful job.
I LIKE WEDDING PGs!!!!!! Who knows, i may be one someday...*winkz.
