MAMA MIA! Here I go again!

Wow,

Kayla and I went to Mama Mia yesterday afternoon and I hit emotional overload. I was crying through almost the whole thing. It was wonderful, can't wait to go again. It made me want to jump out of my seat and dance!!! Kayla, of course, will have a different review. She kept looking over at me and all she could say was "Freak". It was definately a must see (without hubby).
We also went to lunch at BJ's and I still highly recommend the Roast Beef Dip, yum.

Summer Fun

Can't help but love summer in sunny California. The kids spend so much time at the beach being entertained by mother nature (and it's free!).

I have taken to riding my bike--for several reasons (a) Gas almost $5 a gallon (b) Weight almost NEVER MIND. I really enjoy it but truly breathe a sigh of relief when I reach my destination.

Blake is working hard, two jobs--Johnny Rockets and Jamba Juice. He is planning on turning in his mission papers the first of September. He turns 19 in November!! Wow!

Chase is learning to drive--FUJI Auto Driving School (I worry that when the instructor says "RI" Chase might not understand!) Chase is also in search of an Eagle Project. So close but yet so far away.

Kayla just returned from EFY in Santa Barbara. She had a great time. She is working on her Girl Scout Silver Award by making "cough" pillows for the surgical wing of the hospital. They are designed to help patients apply gentle pressure when getting in and out of bed. Kayla learned of this handy pillow when she had her appendix removed April 2007. She needs to make about 40 in order to have enough service hours.

Layne's yard looks great this year. Other than pesky raccoons and a bird's nest in the floral arrangement on the front door he is pleased. He just returned from a golf week in Idaho and had such a good time kicking back with his mom and dad and golfing, golfing and more golfing!

Elder Hastings, what a guy! He is working real hard to be the "most powerful converting force in Patagonia". He is optimistic and dedicated to the Lord's work. Only 7 more months but who is counting.

Well, that pretty much sum up what we are up to this summer!
