Quick Update for 2012

I can't believe its been almost a year since I last posted!  Things have been busy that's for sure.  Let's see what I can catch up on...

I was promoted in March at my job. I went from Patient Care Coordinator to Insurance Specialist and Patient Care Coordinator.  Also I think my job title could include Office Manager Extraordinaire!  I am the only upfront gal right now and I am swamped at work daily.  I am not complaining though.  I love it!

Tim is still doing massage and is as busy as ever!  He does about 42 or more hours of massage a day.  He LOVES it!  He loves to see people come in with injuries and walk out feeling so much better, walking better, moving better, etc.  It makes him happy.

Sydney is now 13 and in 8th grad.  She payed Volleyball in the early fall and did really well.  I love watching her play, she's so good!  She is currently at the end of her basketball season.  She made varsity this year, but is having a difficult time with her coach.  he tends to focus more on the negatives the girls are doing instead of what they are doing correctly.  He yells a lot at them and it hurts her feelings.  As of now she says she will not go out for basketball in High School, just volleyball and golf.  Which I am fine with!

Zander just turned 6 last week.  He woke up and told me he felt like he was 7!  Cracked me up!  He has been enjoying school and his friends.  Tim just got him involved in hockey lessons.  Zander LOVES hockey.  Its his most favorite thing.  So Christmas for him will be filled with all things hockey!  He is pretty dang cute to watch as well on the ice!

This past September we went on a family vacation to DISNEYLAND!!!  We went with Tim's parents and had such a great time!  We left On the 20th and came home the 23rd.  We had hot weather, lots of fun rides and great memories!  I have included pictures below!

Passage on the Titanic

I cannot wait to get my hands on the latest book from Anita Stansfield!  I haven't had a chance to head down to Deseret yet and I am getting antsy!!  Take a peek at the clip and then head over to Anita's Blog.  Its on the left side of my page under blogs and go check her out!  I have been reading her stories since I was 16 years old...over half my life now!!

January

What a year 2012 has been so far.  I have to say I have not enjoyed this month at all.  Not one bit!  Friday the 7th Tim had to rush me to the ER because of a massive nose bleed I was having.  I have never seen so much blood in my life.  Pouring out of my nose and mouth.  AWFUL.  Get right in to the Dr, he cleans everything out, sprays some stuff up there, stops the bleeding  and he packs my nose with what looks like a tampon.  I go home.  Saturday evening comes around and I start bleeding out the other side.  Rush back to the ER, tampon pulled out and bleeding stops.  They monitor me for awhile and then let me go home again.  Sunday was fine, no issues at all.  Monday I had to see an Ear Nose and Throat guy. He cauterized my nose and said that he couldn't get a scope back far enough to see any posterior bleed since I had a deviated septum...news to me!  So he fries the inside of my nose and sends me home.  After that I went to Costco and did some errands.  Brought Tim and I some dinner home since the kids had Costco hot dogs and he ate some but my nose started up again.  Back to the ER.  Waited in the waiting room for 2 HOURS!  Yup we were at SWMC this time and not Legacy.  After an hour of waiting I am wondering if I should fall out of my wheel chair and let the blood flow since apparently I am not a priority.  Apparently bleeding out of your face means nothing!  When I finally get back I sit a littl ebit longer and this Santa Clause looking guy comes in and tells me he probably wouldn't do surgery since someone could come in that has a higher priority than me and I would be taking up an OR room.  Ummm JERK!  So he sucks out my nose, gross, and then sprays more stuff up there to numb it and also afrin, it constricts the vessels to stop the bleeding.  Bleeding stops and he's off to find the right cauterization tool.  He takes well over an hour to find the right one.  He has to re numb me a couple times and that stuff is NASTY!!!  So finally he comes back in and cauterizes my somewhat numb nose, but I am pretty sure it wasn't numb at all and then I get sent home with restrictions...NO LIFTING ANYTHING, NO BLOWING MY NOSE, PICKING MY NOSE, OR STRESS.  Fun.  So again today I am home from work, where honestly I would rather be!  I would rather be making a couple bucks then losing out on so much $$.  My deductible has most definitely been met for the year....within the first 7 days of the new year.  But a glimmer of hope...my friend Sandy said that  SWMC has charity programs that will write off balances if you qualify.  Dang it I will make myself qualify for that program!  or any other program they have!

I hope the new year has been much better to you and your family!!

First day of work!!

Tomorrow starts a new journey for my family!  I am going back to work for the first time in 12 years.  WOW!!  I am super excited though!  I will be a receptionist for a dental office here in Vancouver.  My good friend Lisa works there as well and she got me the first interview and it snowballed from there.  So tomorrow it starts.  A huge awakening to my children when they have to go to bed tonight and realize its still daylight outside!  Early to bed and early to rise!  I am so grateful its only 3 days a week right now, Monday-Wednesday.  That leaves my Thursdays open to go to Zander's preschool field trips and go to any of Sydney's volleyball games.  This new job is a huge blessing to our family and I am so grateful to Dr. Rapisarda for giving me a chance, someone who has no up front dental experience.  And so grateful for Lisa who is willing to train me!

My friends lost their son yesterday to brain cancer.  He was 9 years old.  My heart breaks for them and their children and family.  I cannot imagine.  Here is Mandy's blog. Get to know Dylan and what a blessing he is to his family.  So grateful for eternal families.  http://dylandshaw.blogspot.com/2011/07/free.html

I share my information about vaccines because I care about what goes into these young bodies. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that is wonderful. I am extremely passionate about not vaccinating and know most of you do not like it nor agree with me. But before you make a judgment on me remember I was in the same boat you were. I opened my eyes, ears and heart to listen. And I found a better way of health for my children. I do not judge you, but certainly wish more would listen, truly listen.

I was SO excited when I turned around and saw Alex the Lion! I think
I was more excited than Zander!

We headed to LA for the day and stopped at the LA Temple. so peaceful and beautiful! I think this was our most favorite part of the whole trip!

LA Temple

Family picture on temple grounds.

Me adn my hot lover on Santa Monica Pier!

Totally stalked the guy in the Lamborghini for more than 10 minutes!
He so knew it too!!

Back at Disney Land with Mickey Mouse!

One of Zander's many dance moves!

On the big boat in Disney Land...no idea what its called!

WOODY!!!

Umm this goat was a little tripped out! He just stared at Zander!
I would have been a bit freaked!

This goat loved to stand on top of the barrels and look around. The sucker even smiles! Not in this picture though...his upper lip curls up around his teeth! Creepy!

So excited to see Jessie! We waited for more than 30 minutes for her to come out!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture!

My babies with Goofy at Goofy's Kitchen. The food was not worth $137, but they still talk about going there and seeing so many characters!

Zander back with his best friend! She came to our table about 3 or 4 times!
He loved it

My family of bugs! Zander did NOT like the 3D spider that jumps put! He could not get those glasses of quick enough! Then the bees sting you in the back and another bug blows "snot" on you and then a bug lets off a bomb. And the finale is the bug running under your butt! Ya he was done quickly!

Me and my hot bug self!

Are Vaccines Safe?

Ok so I went to the seminar "Are Vaccines Safe?" I thought I would pass along the info I received from it. Feel free to leave me comments. These are the choices me and my family make for ourselves. I am just sharing information. What you take from it is up to you and your family.

These are my notes:

Current vaccine schedule:
*mmr
*Hep A & B
*Varicella Zoster (chicken Pox)
*Live and dead polio
*Hib Influenza type B pneumococcal vaccine
*DPT
*Prevnar ~ear aches and meningitis
*New Flu ~ given yearly
*HPV
*RotoTeq ~ Rotovirus

VACCINE INGREDIENTS~
*Phenol (poison)
*formaldehyde (cancer causing)
*alum (preservative)
*acetone (finger nail polisher remover)
*aluminum phosphate (toxic and in deodorants)
*glycerin (toxic to your liver, kidney, lung damage)
*Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)
*Toxic metals ~ lead, cadmium, aluminum, mercury (thimerasol)
*FECAL MATTER
*DOG KIDNEY
*MONKEY KIDNEY
*HORSE SERUM
*PIG BLOOD
*HORSE BLOOD
*CALF SERUM
*RABBIT BRAIN
*antibiotics
*yeast proteins

HPV~Cervical Cancer Vaccine

*HPV~ Experimental vaccine to be tested on human subjects
*23 girls and women have died
*225 micrograms of Aluminum X 3 shots = 675 micrograms of aluminum
*Polysorbate 80 linked to infertility in mice
*making 19 million doses for nextyear
*government postpones mandate until 2010 because of side effects reported.
EFFECTS:
*Seizure disorder
*Pelvic inflammatory disease
*appendicitis
*asthma

HEP B~
Hepatitis B is a blood transfered disease. This is an adult disease. This vaccine was made for prostitutes..someone who has multiple partners, drug users. Is your baby going to be having sex within her first 7 years of life? Is she going to be sharing dirty needles? This vaccine is given within hours of birth.

Rototeq Vaccine~ (Infant diarrhea-given at 6 weeks old)
*FDA website~ not recommended for infants who are immune compromised.
*Never tested alone~ administered with all other vaccines
*52 babies died during studies and the Dr's called it SIDS
*Most common side effect~ diarrhea, vomiting, fever, runny nose, wheezing and ear infections.

Chicken Pox Vaccine~
*licensed in 1995
*given at 12 months and then boster
*has been associated with shingles and herpes simplex n adults and kids
*chicken pox is NOT a serious illness in most kids
*kids who get the vaccine can STILL get the chicken pox

MMR~
*The rubella component of the vaccine has been imlicated n causing juvenile onset type 1 diabetes
*people who receive the measles vaccine were 2 1/2 times more likely to develop ulcerative colitis, and 3 times more likely to develop crohns disease when compared to unvaccinated people.

Rubella Vaccine~
*In a study of adult women who were vaccinated against rubella, 55% developed arthritis or joint pain within 4 weeks.

PERTUSIS VACCINE (WHOOPING COUGH) ~
*Effects the pancreas. live virus was causing problems with the pancreas which ends up causing hypoglycemia or diabetes. It can take up to 5 years before diabetes to appear after vaccine is given.

PREVNAR VACCINE ~
*Approved in 2000 for ear aches and pneumococcal meningitis
*bio engineered by combining 7 types of bacteria with diptheria toxin
*purified with aluminum sulfate

**Vaccines are now produced on aborted baby lung tissue**
**When did we begin to use vaccines on a mass scale? 1950s**

The increase in vaccines at age 5:
1950s ~ 3
1983 ~ 10
2002 ~ 23 doses for 13 diseases
2007 ~ 36 vaccines for 17 diseases.

**Are your beliefs based on indoctrination or education??**

Know your rights~If you do not know your rights you cannot exercise them

Every state has exemptions: Washigton has 3.
RELIGIOUS: Do not have to belongto a certain church
Hold strong to convictions about vaccine practice.
MEDICAL: Autoimmune disorder, asthma, diabetes, psoriasis, child not well or running fever on day of shots.
PHILOSOPHICAL: Most valued exemption, safety concerns, lack of long-term studies, sick child, writtenletter or waiver form, check your state laws.

F.E.A.R = False Evidence Appearing Real

FEVERS~
102* ~ Interferons-proteins that prevent viral replication and inhibit cancer cells
103* ~ All nutrition to spleem to starve bacteria.
Why give your child meds to bring down the fever? The temperature rises in order for your body to fight off whatever infection it may have. When you eat bad food and your body vomits it and has diarrhea is that a good thing? YES your body is working to get rid of that toxin. So are fevers. Your body is working properly to get rid of that infection.
YOU ARE NOT HELPING YOUR CHILD BY HINDERING THE FEVER. Fevers run higher at night...set your child in a warm bath and they will cool down and go back to sleep.

AUTISM~
*Government wants people to think autism is a genetic disease. Autism is an epidemic.
*if thimerasol is considered a non active ingredient, Drs and nurses DO NOT have to tell you its in there
*Autism is considered the silent killer ~ effects thousands of children
*every 4 minutes a child is being diagnosed with autism
*208 million children with autism
*1 n 6 kids with learning disabilities
*Autism causes~
immune system problems~ Decreased resistance to infections
nervous system problems ~ altered sensitivity to and abnormal processing of sensory and expressive information
gastroenterology ~ abnormal digestion, increased colon permiability, resistant bacteria, yeasts, parasites/toxins produced.

**Infant mercury exposure via vaccines in 2003~
by age 6 months a fully vaccinated infant has received:
3 DPT = 75mcg
3 HIB = 75 mcg
3 Hep B = 37.5 mcg
= 187.5 micrograms of mercury if you add the flu shot to that its an additional 25 mcg = 212.5 mcg of mercury exposure.

EPA safety level .01 mcg - 4mcg (fda center of biologicals)

INJECTIONS:
*changes the method of exposure
*changes the timing of the exposure
*changes the number of illnesses

**Children who are unvaccinated seem more robust than vaccinated children**

**DO YOU ALWAYS FORM AN OPINION ON SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT?

*Medicine belongs in emergency crisis. Drugs and surgery DO have a place in society. Drugs are sometimes necessary.

I hope this information finds you thinking about vaccines more. Our children DO NOT have to have them to get into school. Our pediatricians like to scare us into vaccines. ASK questions, do your own studies. We had Sydney fully vaccinated when she was a baby. Had I known any of this information them I would NOT have vaccinated her. She had asthma. We go to a chiropractor weekly and she has not had any problems (not using an inhaler at all) with asthma in over a year. The last time Zander was vaccinated was at 6 months. He has only had an ear infecton and it was gone within 3 days with chiropractic care. He has never had an antibiotic for anything. Think about it, make your decisions based on what you have studied and know in your heart to be true. Its a lot of research and prayer. Of the websites I listed above, my favorite is thinktwice.com.

Its been awhile!

Wow! So it has been a little while since I last posted! Probably because there really is not much to report! We really do lead boring lives! Tim works, I sell Scentsy, Sydney goes to school and Zander likes to scream at me! Fun...

So we are still planning our trip to Disney Land! We have been saving like crazy, we almost have more than half saved and we continue to save all of our change and put it in the jar! Zander LOVES that! We have quite a bit in there, and we are using a good portion of it for gift cards in Disney for the kids. I don't want to be bugged every 5 minutes for $$ for something they gotta have! We think we are staying at the Ramada Maingate...at the park. Looks nice enough, has decent reviews and its RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET!! YAY! We have changed our plans several times, but are only going to do Disney this time. When we head home we plan to make some stops, not sure where yet...so any ideas please share them! Sydney wants to see the Golden Gate Bridge, although I am not sure I want to drive that far out of the way just to see a bridge! So again, please share your ideas!!

I LOVE SCENTSY!!
It has been going so well for me! Although I would love to share this with more people and have them join my personal team! Scentsy really does sell its self! I made top sales last month on my team! I made over $600! That was AWESOME!! I'd like to do that every month, but I need more shows!! So do you want to have a show?! Even if you live in another state,I can send you all my scents, they are small, with catalogs and order forms! SO EASY!! And you earn all the free stuff! Just do it! You will love it!

Ok well Tim just came home with caramel bugles for me, if you have not tried them I HIGHLY recommend them! ADDICTING!!

I will try to come up with some more fun things in the near future to blog about, but its not too promising!
