What is it with MY MOUTH? I must let the swear words fly more than I realize (yes, I'm in primary with your little children)... So, Jaxon is in the bath and says "Holy Sh*!" and I said "What did you say", thinking I must have heard something that he really didn't say. And, without skipping a beat, repeated "Holy Sh*!" I walked out of the room, started laughing and then composed myself. We have now had a discussion about how that is a bad word, and in our house it will be replaced with the work COW! Tongue Ring...
During the summer my kids always get a short hair cut. The last few years, it's been "faux hawks". So, today the kids and I went to a movie (Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2- good movie), on our way to the movie I said to Connor and Ethan that we should do REAL mohawks. Shave their heads and all the way down their heads is a strip of hair, not just the strip we leave on the top of their heads. Both boys agreed that having a real mohawk would be cool. Then Ethan piped up, totally serious and said "Then we can go get tongue rings".
WHAT?
If having a mohawk leads to tongue rings, count us OUT!
Thanks for making me laugh little man...

I'm a biker!
So, the title of this post sounds a lot cooler than I am! It's not a Harley or even a racing bike, but it's my bike and I love it! The boys love to ride but they have out grown their bikes. I haven't had a new bike since my dad bought me one as a teenager. SAD, I know! When we were looking at bike's yesterday, we realized we would need a bike trailer for the two babies. But, Target didn't have them and Wal-mart was out. Well, fresh shipment came in today, and I (with the help of the neighborhood kids), put the trailer together and gave it a good test run around the block- it didn't fall off my bike, GOOD SIGN! So, helmets on, and here we go- we are now departing for our first family bike ride (after baseball practice) :-)

It's beginning to look a lot like ...
BASEBALL!
Oh yeah, baby! Baseball season is here and I'm so excited. We went to Ethan's second practice this morning. He is now the proud member of the Cardinals. This was hard to stomach at first, because he is a big CUBS fan (in all seriousness, I think this is harder for Chris). I'm so excited for my little slugger to grow into an amazing ball player. He loves to play and is so excited. His first practice was last Thursday and he skipped the whole way there.
Connor is playing with the same coach he had last year. It was great last year because Connor played for the Yankees, who are his all-time favorite MLB team. But, this year moving up to AA there is no Yankee team, and Connor is now part of the Angels. Chris assured him this is okay, because the SLC Bees organization feed into the Angels program.
So, we're off to a great start! We'll post lots more.

Jaxon's Broken Arm...
On February 5th our little man broke his arm. Five weeks later, I'm finally blogging about this. Yeah, yeah, I remember my New Year's resolution... and at least it's getting done! So, my sweet boy was running from the bathroom and slipped on the floor, he landed on his arm wrong and BROKE it!
I was on the computer writing a talk for the next day, when Chris brought him in to me and said "Jaxon says his arm hurts, but look at this, it doesn't look right!" Yeah, it sure didn't. I could tell it was broken, just by the way the arm now dipped down, not being supported by the bone. We called grandma who came and watched the kids, while Chris and I went to the ER with Jaxon.
Honestly, Jax cried for a minute, that's it! He would say "My arm hurts..." Or, we'd get an "Ouch", but that was all. He was so brave. He amazed the ER staff and doctors, with his bravery. The nurse attending us went out and grabbed other nurses to come meet the boy who felt no pain. He was the best patient!!! Every time someone entered the room he would say "Hi, I'm Jaxon. I'm three and I broke my left arm!" He was all smiles and jokes, typical Jaxon fashion.
Jaxon is now cast free! After four weeks he can take a "real" bath and is enjoying having his mobility back in his arm. I am so proud of you, brave little man! What a great memory your dad and I have of you and this experience. We love you!!!
Chris and Jaxon, patiently waiting...
The X-Ray- ouch!
In his room in the ER, can you tell his left arm (the one resting) dips down?
On the I.V, waiting for the Dr. to reset the bone.
Jax really wanted a red cast, but they didn't have it. Our awesome nurse wrapped it with red tape, but we had to take it off so everyone could sign his cast!
Follow up visit with the Dr. Getting ready to get rid of "thumper" (yes, the cast was named...)
Mr. Muscles flexing the goods! No more cast.

...Happy New Year...
Well,
With the New Year come many resolutions... I have to admit, I have left the blogging world for Facebook and the easiness it provides for posting quick updates and sharing pictures. However, I think "one liners" are not sufficient when looking back and trying to remember the things we have done. It's going to take me sitting down and journaling or blogging to accurately account for all our activities. So, here it goes again... my journaling, blogging or rambling; with lots of posts of our 2011 going-on's!
Happy New Year! Hope 2011 is fabulous for all of you!!!
