David bumped into his secondary school sweetheart, Wei San, today. David does not know why but the 5 minute conversation he had with her at KJ LRT bus stop was one of the most intense conversations he has had with anyone for a very long time.
We used to talk to each other with such friendliness and stuff during the sort-of-courting period, after awhile we just stopped talking at all. A short while later David found out that she went out with one of David's friends to get back at him or something like that.
David was already with Suet at the time so the whole Jealousy Game thing did not work on him as he has always been loyal to his girlfriends since the age of 15.
Flirting gets David into a lot of trouble sometimes though, after Suet's case David has decided not to flirt or mess around with any other girl besides his girlfriend, period. Disciplining himself by emotionally distancing himself from other girls is in fact making David feel quite good about himself.
All this said, this was the reason why David did not ask Wei San for her number as David watched her say "bye bye" and get on the bus.
The conversation was ... sharp ... and well ... intense ...
As David was walking up to the shaded stairs, the sight of a girl he once liked for some unknown reason caught his attention. David froze for about 3 seconds in realization of who that girl was. She looked at David with the jumbled facial expressions of being nervous, worried, relieved, sad, nostalgic, and cheered up at the same time, the facial expression that only a girl is capable of.
David said to her, "hi" ... in the most dishonest way he had ever said "hi" to anyone in his entire life. Truth be told, David never ever wanted to see her again. It brought back too many memories of his fresh, exciting, and carefree life of when he was 15, the best year of David's entire life.
She replied "*ahem* ... erm hi" as she put her hands behind her lower back, smiled, gazed at the floor, and shifted her weight; rotating from foot to foot.
We talked about some trivial things. Throughout the conversation, David felt very uncomfortable about carrying on the conversation, and David sensed that so was she. Wei San kept nodding her head accordingly to her answers to David's inquiries.
She also kept shifting her gaze between David and the floor.
At that moment, a really weird thought went through David's head, David thought like "why does she keep staring at the floor, maybe she likes my shoes ... or maybe she wants me to look at her shoes ... should I tell her where I bought my shoes ... or maybe I should ask her where she bought hers ...."
Ah ha ha ....
Based on experience, David knew that she was shy, reluctant and yet willing.
To this day, David STILL does not understand why the hell he liked her. She is quite bitchy, she always badmouthed her friends to each other, she shared no same interests or hobbies with David ... she thought religion was very important in one's life ... she is quite expensive to maintain ... one of her closests friends is one of David's most hated enemies at school ... the guy she chose to make David upset was such a moron and a pussy.
She was however, very nice to David ... very "penyayang" as David's friends would put it. All of them think David is crazy for liking her though. Haha ~
David decided to act cool and not steal glances as she walked off towards the parked bus, but in the corner of his eye ... David caught her stealing glances at him.
David spent the entire day looking back at everything that happened while he took her out for lunch and went shopping with her at Atria for the Sumber Sains club supplies. She was the Treasurer and David was ... well ... AJK Kura-Kura lol ~
She made up a whole new post in the club just for David haha, Azri also got the posi since he was the only one of David's brudders in the club. David is pretty sure if all his secondary school brudders were in that club they would all get that post too ...
David and her were classmates too so, she was the one he talked most to in the entire year. David remembers those cheeky days where he kept pulling the chair off one of the nerds' asses and putting it next to Wei San's table asking her friends if he could borrow her until the next teacher enters the classroom.
Sigh ~ David is almost 20 and already suffering mid life crisis ...
David didn't ask her for her phone number so ... David thinks he'll just leave it at that.
