Up on the roof

Yesterday I was making dinner and my neighbor called to tell me that Hailey and Brynley(our neighbor) were on the roof. Now that is a call that no parent wants to get. The girls put a hole in the screen and they would throw a toy out the window and then they would climb out onto the roof over the patio to get the toy. When I went to get them off the roof, as soon as I opened the door to Hailey's room they knew that they were caught. Apparently Hailey forgot that she fell out our second story window and landed on her head when she was two. Hailey and Parker were leaning against the screen and it popped out of the window and down they fell. She suffered a concussion and a skull fracture. Here is a picture of Hailey after she fell out the window. I am so glad we didn't repeat that incident. Thanks Ashley for the call!!!

Six Weeks Old

Cute baby Jake is having a birthday today. He is so sweet. Thanks to
his new found love of eating he is getting some good chub on his body.
He definately has potential for some good leg rolls. He will actually stay
awake for longer periods of time and he likes to sit in his swing and watch
the moblie go around. My favorite thing to do with Jake is talk to him
about Rylee. When I talk about her, he will look at me in the eyes and
he looks as if he knows what I am talking about and who I am talking about. He has been doing this from the day he was born. We feel very
blessed to have the wonderful gift of Jake in our family. We love you Jake!

Sweet Megan

My sweet Megan is so thoughtful. On our anniversary she got up early and made this banner that she had hanging from the stairs. Megan is always thinking of things she can do for others. She is a whiz on the computer, she just puts me to shame. Thanks Meg for your thoughtfulness. We love you!

Fourteen Years

I can't believe how time files when your having fun. The past fourteen years have definately been eventful. I am so grateful that I got to share them with my best friend. Bill is the best husband. I couldn't have asked for a better guy. I am grateful that we were able to share the ups and downs together. Bill was so kind and patient when we got married and now after fourteen years of dealing with me he is even more patient. I remember when we had been married for a couple of years, one night we were feeling spontaneous and we took off and went to a movie and then we came home and made some dinner late at night and I remember us both looking at eachother and saying it is so fun to be married. I still feel that way today. The sweetest moments have seen were the moments Bill had with Rylee. He was always so loving and affected by her sweet spirit. There is nothing like a dads love for his daughter, kind and tender. I also remember when Rylee was born and we were finding out what happend to her and what her life would be like, I was so grateful that I was going through that time with Bill. We were blessed that we grew together and were on the same page when it came to Rylee. I couldn't feel more blessed then I feel today for the wonderful family Bill and I have created over the past fourteen years.

Jakes Room

The big kids went to Idaho on Thursday and came home on Saturday. They went to play with G&G Hendricks and their dogs. While they were away I decided that I should work on Jakes room. The room got painted before I had to go on bedrest with my pregnancy but that is about all the I was able to do. I wasn't even able to put his clothes in the drawers. This weekend my mom and I were able to get some things purchased that I have been wanting to get for months now. Bill and I were able to make a hand and foot print picture for his wall which turned out really cute. I am happy with the way his room turned out so I thought I would share the pictures. I am also adding a picture of Jake in his crib. Today was the first day he has been in his crib, I think he likes it.

Cute Kids

Here are the pictures that we got taken yesterday. I of course think they are adorable. I can't believe Jake is already 5 weeks. Check out Megan's new hair sytle. She looks so cute I am so glad that she got it cut. Parker of course could not take a picture without a big cheesy smile on his face. Hailey miss photogenic always looks perfect.

Picture Day

I got up today feeling very ambitious and I decided that I should get Jakes one month picture taken and I also wanted to get a picture of all of my children together. My kids have basically out grown their clothes so I had to get some matching new clothes for the pictures. Megan is very picky about what she wears so it took awhile to find something that would make us both happy. I found something for the other kids just as soon as I walked into the store. The shirt I found for Parker was just a polo shirt and I had him try it on to see if the size worked. He was kind of complaining that the shirt had a collar on it, so I asked him why he had didn't like the collar. He told me it was becuase it made him look fat. That kid is so funny, he comes up with some crazy things. He however was very serious about the collar. I don't love to go to Kiddie Kandids but I gave in and went. Of course there was a huge line with a million people. I thought that our family was the only family that didn't go out of town, apparently I was wrong. My kids were great they didn't even complain. Jake was an angel and he looked so darling in his pictures. The picture of all the kids turned out darling as well. I was glad to get that done but now I am exhausted.

My attempt to blog

I have decided that a blog site will be a fun way for us to share what is going on in our lives with our family and friends. It is also a great way for me to archive what is going on with us. This is a big commitment for me to make but I think I am up for the challenge. It has been quite the undertaking trying to get me blog site to look somewhat how I want it. Hopefully it will be fun for me and the kids to post things on here. I would love them to get involved and help me. We'll see how things go. Happy reading!

I think this is such a cute picture of Jake. He is so cute and I love that his eyes are open. He is a good baby. He is pretty mellow and likes to hang out with whoever is holding him or just by himself. He does however like to eat. He eats more then any of my other children, he truely is a bottomless pit. I am not sure how much he weighs but I can tell he is gaining weight and growing. It is so sad to have the baby grow, but at the same time it is exciting.
