The Happiness that comes from within

Foreword

I was recommended by my colleague to read this book 3 months ago. I didnt border to touch and open the book because the white background cover is so boring. Only until recently, when I have one queit lunch time when everybody choose to go out of the office but I have my humble sandwich with me. With no free newspaper, I refused to look at computer and more work, I opened this book. And I can't stop reading even though everybody is back to the office. Just share with you some insight of happiness from this author, OSHO.

"Human beings can be tremendously happy and tremendously unhappy - and they are free to choose. This freedom is hazardous, this freedom is very dangerous because you become responsible."

Tree are simply happy because they cannot be unhappy. They dont know how to be unhappy. The birds chirping in the trees are happy not becuase they have chosen to be happy - they are simply happy because they dont know the other way to be. Their happiness is unconscious, it is simply natural. We, as a human being, have consciousness. Either we can become happy or we can become unhappy. Then it is our choice. So when we choose, we will be reponsible. If we choose the other way, we are not nature.

"Happiness happens when you fit with your life, when you fit so harmoniously that whatsoever you are doing is your joy."

Human beings have gone completely topsy-turvy. We have been distracted into unnatural preoccupations: money, prestige, power. Wherever we see power, prestige, money, we are no longer ourself. Immediately we forgot everything - we forgot the intrinsic value of our life, our happiness, our joy, our delight. We always choose something from the outside and we bargain for it with something from the inside. We gain the without and we lost the wisdom.

Remember it: Nobody else can decide for you. All their commandment, all their orders, all their moralities, serve to cripple you. You have to decide for yourself, you have to take your life in your own hands. Otherwise, life goes on knocking at your door and you are never there - you are always somewhere else.

Your destinay can find you in only one way, and that is your inner flowering, as existence wanted you to be. Unless you find your spontaneity, unless you find your element, you cannot be happy. You have to drop all those patterns that have forced on you, and you have to find your inner flame. so IT DEPENDS ON YOU.

Onigiri !!!!

Thanks to XL... she made the onigiri for us before our R&R class. We are so fortunated to join this class. I cant resist it and love the combination of rice, seaweed and sesame very much. It is delicious !!!!


The lunch box is so sweet .... !!!!! I can feel the Jap lunch box culture now.



And you cant believe it - Home-made Vegetarian Onigiri !!!!!


This is how we eat it that day- with mint leaves and more seaweed.

Thai Vegetarian

Refer to ML blog about this newly Thai Vegetarian in Aljunied.

We just want to try different vegetarian food and find out what is the Dragon seaweed.


This is yummy... the marinated Dragon Seaweed !!!! My very First time ... hehhee

And Thai famous Tom Yam soup !! It is really really hot and spicy and sour and Shiok !!!! We sweat more than it is after our jogging every week.


Luckily we ordered another stir fry simple veg... because it can help to reduce the "heat" of the above 2 dishes !!! But still my stomach was burning after we left the place till i closed my eyes to call if off for the rest of the day. I guess people will call this "hui wei" and it is worth remembrance.

Pineapple plant

Saw this on my way to place where i have lunch nowsaday. Hope i can see it ripes and we got free Pineapple ^^!!!

Vegetarian heaven

I just like this place and thought i should share with you all. It is a food court with all vegetarian stalls in AMK (introduced by HK blog).


This is their Black carrot cake stir fry ($3). But the recommended one is their white carrot cake because all the carrot cake are covered by Egg which looks like a Carrot pancake. We didn't order this time because the portion is a bit too much for two of us.

Everytime, I will order their "Yong tao Hu" ($3) because i can choose many veggie and I just love their sauce very much.

AND today we found the new dish and our First - Vegetarian "Za Jiang Mian" 杂酱面 ($3) and it is so tasty till I forgot to take pic before we stir all the sauce together with the noodle.


Aunty said only Friday she will do the vegetarian "Za Jiang Mian" which you should not miss!!! Please ignore the tofu as it is from the yong tao hu.

Meditation

There was this morning when i reached office early in order to save the gantry cost. I just cant go in the building but need a quiet break. Therefore i dropped by the place where i can see the water, wave, sea and ships. And One lady just sit next to me doing the "Ta zhuo". She greeted and inspired me before she left with a smile and courage to face the future.

I didnt take a photo of her (of course it is not polite) but i snapped the above two pics. Maybe sometimes we need to slow down and reflect upon ourself. Our life is just like the wave, come and go, come and go. Therefore I took a long and deep inhale and went back to face the Reality... ^^!

Fantastic Scenery

Finally a little update from me. But it is mostly about sky, water, ships and bridge. I guess lots of you might wonder if I'm ON Holiday... But I'm not. It is Work and sometimes it is just a heavy burden. Maybe I'm not as smart as others, I dont have wisdom as much as others, I got more bad temper and habits than others, so I have to learn harder than others.



Just got chance to drop by the project site after 3 months and this is the fabulous view from the staff canteen... some said it is better than boat quay or clarke quay.

I guess that is Keppel bridge and Carribean. Sky is cloudy that day as it was drizzling. Anyway, after the visit, i never had a chance to go back the site anymore.

Sentosa Trip

FireWork !!

Just happened in front of me and managed to use my mobile to capture it. Worth celebrating and sharing... a foc phone can capture such an effect at night... hehe ^^

Lou Sheng (Chu 7)

Thanks to ZH, this is the highest Lou Sheng I have ever seen, with lots of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables... Yummy !!


This is the "Wu Ying Shou"... they just go so fast till my mobile cant capture it !!

CATS

My first capture of two lovely cats at mum and dad's home. It is hard because they kept moving, full of curiosity when u hold the handphone in front of them esp the "Miao Miao" (or we call him Xiao Mao). The big and clumsy one called "Miao Mee" (but i have used to call him "Fei Mao" because his weight is 7 kg and during CNY is 7.5 kg)... ^^ Their name is very simple but these two are just a bit different for us as they understand what we said and react. Maybe it is the affinity and we love them so much, as u can see the big one, well feeded and very lazy.... Hahaha.

More Small flowers !!

Yellow symbolize HOPE !! Hope we can survive through this pretty tough Ox Year !! Hope we can stay together just like the small flowers and get through together. Hope Everyone is happy and healthy always and more hope... !!!

Small Flowers !!

I think it is flowers festive soon... No one can resist it !! But these tiny, little and small flowers that caught my eyes and attention.

It looks nothing when it stands alone, probably it is too small to catch the eyes. But when they can gather together, they all look wonderful !! With different colours, diff name, diff background and diff personality...




Even though they are having the same colour, u just feel GOOD when u see all these little, tiny and small flowers that can stay together. I should learn from this little creation in the Nature.

Thats why I love the "little flowers song" so much ... ^^

Beach !!

Once a wise person said we live in the high rise flats now, we should see further from there. 住得高，要看得远 ！It is a blessing that I can stand at the beach nowsaday and listen to the Nature and listen to the Heavenly Mother. If we can see further now, we have to let go. 看得远，要放得下！Hope this will be useful for forthcoming year 2009 !!

Bye 2008 !!

It is a busy busy year, no matter in terms of work, friends, family and fotang. However i have just one small brain and 2 short hands. Sometimes it is very hard to find a balance between all. When i busy in work, 3F will not let me alone sometimes. I have only 24 hours per day. Therefore there have so much things that I should do better but I didnt.... Ahha.... !!!

I should spend more times with family and friends... They didnt go to my office, they didnt go to fotang. So we have very limited quality times together. Non of our family member is a vegetarian. So we have to eat outside most of the time during weekdays. Even though it is unhealty and oily, but we left with no choice. Moreover I should do my household chores with more hardworking so that it wouldn't be endless spring clean till now... hahaha !!! I really felt grateful and blessed that i have them all around me so that I can go through all the tests (not sure can pass or not) and survive happily... ^.^

In fotang, I'm just a normal tao member with little faith in Maitreya. For the 2nd half of the class, when i became their friends, they lost control and became enemy. They need more discipline, faith and truth but I didnt shower them enough. We should start the class by bowing to Heavenly mother first. They have became somebody that we are very hard to understand and not a Maitreya Youth or Children that i know. I was hoping that Angels would be around me and help me but it seems like no luck yet... ^.^

We have to work in order to pay off our debts, bills, loan and support our family. With the tough year to secure a job ahead, nobody can guarantee anything. With the very limited time at home, we have to use our own hands to do all household matters as no luxury to hire others. Therefore, it is time for me to let go some and I need times to do things that I should do. Maybe it is part of my destiny. Or maybe it is just a dream will never come true. Anyway, bye good and bad 2008... I just have time to prepare for 2009. Cheers !!

Small Experiment

I just done some spring clean esp the cooking area... My territory... ^.^ !! U must be wondering what is that in the pic? Just a small experiment when i boiled soup and thought by using the heat and steam my vegetable... It is Oil-free, easy and clean in order not to dirty the place till CNY... Hahaha !! Probably Save time and energy as i just leave it as it is till everything is cooked.

Actually it is not new coz a good rice cooker come with such an extra tray on top. I just dont have such luxury at home. So i used the steamer tray given by Angel many years ago, it save my time so much to come out with very healthy veg (mix with soy sauce when serving) , 1 soup with rice for dinner... Hurrahh !!!



When i took the veg out, the steamer tray is still warm with steam. So i put my table cloth on top just to kill germ... hehe !! Nothing is waste today.... ^.^ !!
