Sympathy

Hello my friends! I'm still busy trying to build up my card stash and today I thought I would work on a few sympathy cards. Not my favorite to make but necessary to have on hand. For this card I used some Market Square DP by Farmhouse Paper. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Good Gab set. I added some interest to my sentiment tab by punching only the ends of it with my SU! modern label punch. Pearls, ribbon and a stick pin make it complete.

Thanks so very much for stopping by!

stamps: Good Gab (Paper Smooches)
ink: memento rich cocoa (Tsukineko)
paper: crumb cake, early espresso (SU!); Market Square DP (Farmhouse Paper)

Fairy Good

Hello friends! Like I said yesterday, I'm a sketch junkie and one of my favorite sketch sites is deconstructingjen.com.  Jen Shults posts great sketches every Thursday (plus she does amazing coloring!!) This card I made for a friend using last week's Deconstructed Sketch. I pulled out my Stampingbella Ketto fairies that have been sitting idle for far too long, colored up miss Maisy Ketto and layered her up on some Ruby Lost & Found DP by MME. What is a fairy without sparkly wings?! Some SU! glitter completes my card.

Thanks for stopping!

stamps: Maisy Ketto (Stampingbella)
ink: memento london fog (Tsukineko)
paper: riding hood red, very vanilla, sahara sand (SU!); Ruby Lost & Found DP (MME)
accessories: ribbon, glitter, word window punch (SU!); Copic sketch markers; square, scallop square nestabilities (Spellbinders); CM circle cutter; tiny flower punch (Target $ spot); pearl (Kaiser Craft)

Thanks So Much

Happy Cyber Monday friends! Are you shopping online today? There are deals galore including 20% off your entire purchase at i {heart} papers with the code black20dt

I've been busy crafting this past weekend (hooray) and have started to build up my card stash again. This is a thank you card I made using some Tangerine DP by MME. I'm a card sketch junkie and have a whole notebook filled with card sketches from various sites that I use when my MOJO is zero to nil! I made an awesome discovery on Saturday while visiting Pinterest though. Did you know that Verve stamps has 2 whole boards full of sketches on Pinterest?! One is their MOJO Monday sketch and the other is their Viva La Verve sketch. Oh My Word is that the greatest to have your entire computer screen full of sketches when your creativity is struggling!! (Just search Verve Stamps once you are on Pinterest and you will find them!) Anyways, this is an older MOJO Monday sketch. My button, ribbon and gems are all from i {heart} papers.

Thanks for stopping now go SHOPPING!

stamps: Thankful Accents (Verve)
ink: riding hood red (SU!)
paper: very vanilla, riding hood red (SU!); Tangerine DP (MME);
accessories: circle and Eyelet Circle nestabilities (Spellbinders); Ivory ribbon (May Arts); wooden button (Basic Grey); clear gems (Kaiser Craft)

Thanks

Did all of my USA friends have a great Thanksgiving? We sure did! This was the first year that I hosted my husband's family for the big feast. My husband and I tag teamed it and made a 22 pound turkey and all of the fixings including green bean casserole (my favorite!). The best part is that we have oodles of leftovers to eat! Yesterday we drove to western MN to spend the day with my husband's extended family and had another fabulous meal! It is so good to spend some time with those people we don't get to see too often! It was an awesome weekend all the way around. (Even though our Vikings look like they're headed for the tanker. . .)

I made this card to send to my husband's uncle that hosted the get together yesterday. I needed to make it USPS friendly so the layers and embellishments are minimal. I used this week's MOJO Monday sketch and some Autumn Spice DP by LilyBee Designs. The sentiment is from the Word Up set by Paper Smooches and I cut the "U" with a Verve die from chick yellow felt.

Thanks for stopping by!

stamps: Word Up (Paper Smooches)
ink: memento rich cocoa (Tsukineko)

I suppose you are wondering what in the world my project actually is?! Well, this year my husband and I are hosting Thanksgiving at our house. Thanksgiving is a time to recognize all of the blessings in your life and we love to share those blessings. I also think it is a great time to thank those special people in our lives so I made inspirational napkin rings for each of our guests! When I first received this Technique Tuesday set I was stumped by how to use it. I'm not a scrapbooker and didn't really have any photos I wanted to display with sentiments and then the napkin ring idea hit me! It's always nice to get compliments but when it is evident to others (like a whole table full of them!) it makes it even more special! I hope my guests enjoy them as much as I enjoyed personalizing them! Here's a better picture with a couple of them around a napkin. (I made 12 total- 3 of each design!) I made the actual ring out of early espresso card stock and embossed each piece with an embossing folder. Then I glued 2 die cut leaves, a sentiment and a few embellishments to each. EASY!

Our designers are sharing lots of inspiration using Technique Tuesday stamps and ihp products!

Monday, Monday

Good Monday morning friends! Did you have a good weekend? Ours was busy with outdoor winter preparations! We got all of the bushes trimmed, the patio furniture stored away and even put up our outdoor Christmas lights. It feels good to have all of that stuff done! Now it's time to work on the inside chores and prepare for Thanksgiving dinner (yum, yum!).

Sunday was my daughter's 17th birthday! We had a nice birthday dinner here and her boyfriend even made the birthday cake!(and I have to say it was delicious!) This is the card I made for her using MFT's Cute-a-tude Pure Innocence girl (fits my daughter perfectly!) I paper pieced her dress and then colored her with Copics. The DP is from the For the Record 2 Tailored collection by Echo Park. I added some ribbon roses trim and a button twine element to finish it all off!

Thanks so much for stopping by and come back tomorrow for our IHP Design Team challenge!
