Hello my friends! Today is our monthly i {heart} papers design team challenge and our theme this month is to think of the hot days of summer and how we "beat the heat" for our inspiration! Well, here in Minneapolis, our summer is winding down and soon it will be back to school time! (21 days to be exact. Not that I'm counting!) Now that it's not so hot out in the evenings, we can enjoy some time out on the deck with a favorite beverage. My new favorite beverage this summer is Raspberry Lemonade by Schwan's. It comes in these cute little milk cartons and that was my inspiration for today! I made 2 tiny cartons from some Springtime DP by Echo Park and my SU! die. I used a small scallop circle nestabilitie die to make the top decoration and then held it closed with a tiny clothes pin decorated with baker's twine. I was then surfing the net to find a cute little holder to put them in and came across this tutorial on the Paper Punch Addiction blog and whipped it up in no time!! Did you see that i {heart} papers now carries Paper Smooches stamps?! I've been eyeing these cuties up since they first came out and now that IHP carries them- I have even more of a reason to buy them! (Like that's ever stopped me in the first place!) Anyways, the pudgy little cow fit my theme perfectly so I stamped him up, colored him with my Copics and then layered him up on a Fleur De Lis Motif nestabilities diecut. I tucked the sentiment under one of the clothes pins. Cute, huh?! I'm not sure what I'm going to put inside of my mini milk cartons but I'm sure I'll think of something {wink}. Now check out what the other DT members created!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
